I shop on Raise.com frequently for giftcards to bigbox retailers. Their prices are the best and the delivery is often instantaneous. Couldn't ask for anything else!
Often bought cards at other sites including E-Bay, Paise is by far the best I have found in service and value. (REVISED) That is what I thought until I bought a fraudulent card from RAISE and their customer service was next to nothing. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE.
RAISE is a SCAM! This company has an illegal "policy" that says you must use the cards within 100 days or they don't guarantee the card. This is in direct violation of the "Gift Card Act" passed by Congress. Money does not expire. My sense is that they resell the card numbers if after you don't use the card within 100 days and make even more money. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
I ordered 3 Staples' e gift codes last night in a hurry to catch a good deal on Staples site - the items are fastly sold - expected to receive the codes within 2 - 3 hours - like it normally does on all of my orders before. However, it took longer this time and my stuff in Staples' online cart were sold out after 3 hours. As a result, I missed the deal, holding $1500 gc value which I did not know what to do with it. Resell it - well it is not a really good discount on these gc and it would be hard to sell because of the high value on each card. My husband complained about this non-stop!
I called Raise Support and talked to Victor the next day. He tried his best - listened to my case, then back and forth to his supervisor to try to help me because per policy, i might not qualify for a refund. Thanks God, thanks to Victor, his boss finally approved for the refund. Life is so much better with a Customer Service Representative like him! Thank you Raise to have such an excellent attitude to the customer, wonderful customer support! I have been order from Raise few years and definitely Raise will be my first option to buy online gift codes!
THANKS AGAIN!
The great service and refund my money back fast. I feel it is good when your card has something wrong, the customer service would support you and explain them to get refund.
I wanted to take the time to write a short note to Ethan for helping me today! He was very professional, courteous, and helpful to me!
I have never heard of Raise, but I like it!
Thank you!
Julie
I was a first time user at Raise and when I had an issue Maxwell really explained everything and was super friendly, as well. Couldn't have asked for better customer support!
They are trying to make fraudulent charges on my account through PayPal. They've tried 3 times. The bank has stopped 2 & are stopping the 3rd. I'VE NEVER DONE BUSINESS WITH THEM! When I googled them, PayPal, & the problem, there were several people reporting the same problem since Christmas.
This site had suspended my account after my fourth listing and sold and kept my 50$ from my gift card! I never recieved an email or text notification about any questions they obviously needed to be asking BEFORE SUSPENDING MY ACCOUNT! I will never use this site and recommend you dont either! Im telling everyone i know about this incident! BIG MISTAKE RAISE! Sold my ecard leaving it at a 0$ balance then suspended my account keeping my money!
Working with raise customer support was a pleasure. My cards order took forever from the seller. I issued a status update and Finn followed up with me until I received my cards 2 weeks later.
I use raise a lot for discounts on restaurants and home supply stores like Home Depot. I have great success using them and in the rare event of an issue they have great customer service.
I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of gift cards through raise.com. Yes, literally thousands of dollars (value worth) of cards.
I like to purchase gift cards on sale or with special promotions for an added discount. Have been doing this for many years now.
The issue with this is when you redeem the gift card (even before a year after purchase) you may be out of money.
Raise will give you provisional credit while they "investigate " the claim. And 3 months later they will take the credit back (after the investigation is done). They will give the reasoning that the card Company reports the card was redeemed already.
Mind you this even if you provide pictures of your attempt to use the card fails. And even if the card company states that they cannot verify it was used by you, Raise will take back your credit and you will be out of $$$.
Yes, you can file a dispute with you card company or bank but I personally had no luck there either. Basically, Raises fine print states that as long as a gift card had a balance upon sale/purchase the 1 year refund for issues do not apply. It's only applicable if the gift card sold/purchased was not valid prior to sold/purchased date.
Goodluck
Raise has great products at great prices, and an easy to use website. Best of all, customer service is quick, pleasant, and efficient. Don't hesitate to order!
Spent 45 dollars on a 50 dollar gift card, thought it would be a good deal. Now it's showing 0 doillars balance. I know they have a guarantee but it's just a waste of time...
I've bought from Raise, GiftCardZen, GiftCardSpread, and CardPool.
This last purchase was my third one from Raise. After dealing with the HORRIBLE customer service at CardPool, I looked back through my emails to see which sites I had bought from and how quickly my electronic gift cards arrived. Raise was fast so I went back with them and literally had my cards within 3 minutes of submitting my order. In contrast, I waited 6 days to receive an electronic gift card from CardPool and still never received it before cancelling the order... SIX DAYS!
They steal your information and sell you nothing. Not just that, you waste your time and money
Note:
DON'T BELIEVE ANYONE WHO GIVES 5 STARS, THEY WORK AT RAISE.
THEY TRYING TO TRICK YOU INTO THERE BAD BUSINESS.
I appreciate the help I received from the Raise staff. They were able to answer all of my questions via email and in a very timely manner. I will continue to purchase from them on a regular basis.
I've used Raise to both sell my unwanted gift card and buy discounted gift cards. Great deal for everyone, Raise commission is fair, support is quick and friendly. A+ all around.
Thank you for answering all of my questions Sophie in a quick and timely manner. Very excited to discover this site and buy all of my gift cards from here now.
Raise representatives reached out to me and offered me a Raise credit for the amount of the lost Talbot's card value. I thought this was a very fair resolution.
Thanks, Raise.com.
The Talbots eGift Card I bought from Raise was originally purchased using a stolen credit card. As a result, the gift card was cancelled and Raise refuses to compensate me. I will not buy from them again.
Answer: I had a problem with the lowes gift cards i purchased from Raise as they did not work at lowes. It took upwards of 10 calls and over 3 months before I received my over $700 back. I will never buy anything on Raise again
Answer: People should unite and file a class action lawsuit against these guys, any attorneys reading this?
Answer: You check the balance on the business' website. For instance, if you have a McDonald's gift card, go to McDonald's website to check the card balance.
Answer: The usual issue is that someone will buy a gift card with a stolen credit card and then sell it to Raise (or others) for cash. Usually within 100 days the gift card issuer will find out when they have been charged back for the stolen card purchase, at which point they invalidate the card and zero the balance. Raise.com will refund you the unused balance on the card prior to it being zeroed out, but only within 60 days of your order. Their short protection policy limits their exposure if a high value card is invalidated and you come looking for a refund three months after you bought it. Every gift card reseller has a different policy for refunds. Some are as short as a few weeks, others last 100 days or more. Raise.com's 60 day policy is shorter than many of their competitors, which is why I don't use them much anymore. The lessons I have learned is only order cards you will use entirely within the next month, never gift them to others, and keep a spreadsheet if you order a lot of cards so you can keep track of balances. In all, I've had about 3% of the 200 cards I've ordered suddenly zeroed out. The majority were for improbably large amounts, which is why I now try and order lower value cards. One site suddenly listed 10 $100 gift cards for Jimmy Johns, a sub shop. One has to wonder who would order gift cards like this in the first place, only to put up for resale. It turned out the original buyer used a stolen credit card to buy them all and turned the proceeds into cash. The cards were all zeroed out. I have learned to be suspicious when a large number of high $ value cards in the same amount suddenly go up for sale. So while it may make sense to buy a $100 gift card for Sears, it usually isn't to buy a $100 gift card for Dunkin Donuts.
Answer: Susan, we're sorry to hear about the trouble you are having. Can you please send an email to member.success@raise.com with the email address associated with your account so that we can look into this for you?
