I bought a Pandora gift card on 5/2016. The value is $200.00. I tried to use it at the store yesterday. I was told the card was redeemed on 10/2016. Never buy any discounted gift card on member to member website. You end up losing money.
I purchased a gift card and a year and a half later when I attempt to use it the balance is zero. Raise's response was that they only guaranteed a card for one year and encourage buyers to use the cards within one year even though there is no expiration date on the card. They offered me a five dollar credit on a future order. Why would I order again when I can't trust that the card will have the balance I purchased. Very disappointed in the response as I have been using them for several years.
I was very distressed when I called. Bernie was very understanding and quickly resolved my issue. Even if he had been unable to help me I would have been impressed with his efficiency and kindness. I have always had great customer service experience with Raise, however, Bernie went above and beyond.
I bought 5 gift cards to the Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn kids for a furniture purchase. I was scared at first because my credit card was declined and had to call my bank to say the purchase was ok. Then, as a 1st time customer I had to call raise.com for a verification process. I was on the phone with raise.com for 19 minutes. Was the 40 minute process worth it,... yes! It was because I saved $66.26! I will come back because next time there is not a verification process.
Raise the worst place to sell a gift card. They take to long to pay i had to wait almost two months to get paid for the gift card i sold. If you wish to sell a card go to Card Pool they are very quick at getting your payment out
I spoke with Lucy and she was very helpful with my situation. I was impressed with her kindness and patience. I have been a longtime buyer on Raise.com but this was my first experience with selling. I appreciate the security measures taken.
Had some issues with cards I had purchased, which totaled over $200.00. I "live chatted" with Piper then Jet but unknowingly lost the connection. Within a few moments Jet called me to resolve the card issues. I did not believe that some of the issues could be resolved but halleluiah Jet was able to walk me through and even helped me do a snapshot on my phone to send him information. Before talking with Jet I had decided not to make any further purchases but boy-oh-boy due to Jet's beyond excellent service I will continue to make purchases through Raise. Thank you for wonderful service Jet!
"I have purchased several cards from them and recently had two cards that I purchased that had no balance on them. Embarrassing! I went to those stores BECAUSE i had the card. When they do not have a balance and I go ahead and pay money then no longer have i gotten a RAISE... but i have lost money because I would have gone elsewhere and saved more money. I called customer service and spoke with Trent & Lovely. They were not able to help and make it right! Terrible customer service and policy! Would not recommend and they have lost several customers because of this!"
I love Raise.com
They always have great deals and I have never had any problems with my purchases. Once I did purchase a gift card and they called to tell me it was not a valid card so that I would not be confused when I saw they had cancelled my order. Every card I have purchased has been fine. I have purchased both ecards and gift cards they mail to you directly. Great customer service and products.
I purchased three gift cards to Home Depot. The first two worked out OK, but when I was ready to spend the balance on the 3rd card, it had a zero balance. Home Depot helped me looked into the matter and said a lawn mower had been purchased with the card (which I didn't buy). Raise says there is nothing they can do because it is past their 60 day guarantee on the "no expiration" gift card. I am out the $220.12 amount I paid for the gift card.
They sold me a gift card for Starbucks $100 that had no value. I showed up at Starbucks with no cash, and couldn't get a coffee. When I called raise.com, they said that it came from a "defective batch." No apology, just that. I asked them why they didn't contact me, and the woman at customer service (Kim) just said that they didn't have time to contact every customer. So, they were basically going to steal $100 from me. This website is a joke and a total waste of time- STAY AWAY.
I have been fighting with your website for 3 days and was extremely irritated by the time I decided to call and wait on hold for you. I was irritated and $#*!y. I was rude during the call but she handled me with complete professionalism. She is a great.
Naevia (Raise Support) addressed my concerns and promptly took it to resolution (refund of order). Naevia was extremely courteous and upbeat, not always an easy task!
I have spent thousands of dollars on Raise and anytime I encountered a difficulty a Raise support member handled it to my satisfaction. Five Stars all the way!
Do not buy anything from Raise unless you want to deal with them for having a zero balance in your Egift cards. That was what happened to me. On 1/4/16, they had a good deal on starbucks Egift cards, so I bought 7 Egift cards from them. 3 out of the 7 cards have zero balance.
I chatted and called them 3 times and nothing was done. They told me to just wait 7-14 business days to get my money back. Look, now is April 5th and I still didn't have my refund back. WTF Raise. Total SCAM.
I had purchased an egiftcard and realized it was not working when I attempted to use it at the restaurant. After contacting Raise customer service and few back and forth communications, the issue was resolved and my money was in the process of being refunded. I had purchased gift cards previously with no problems at all. I will continue to purchase gift cards from Raise in the future.
I am new to Raise.com, but am a seasoned shopper with websites, (my preferred shopping for all things nowadays). While searching for cash-saving shopping tips, Raise popped up, and I decided to give it a try, not expecting anything mind-blowing with buying a gift card. Once signed up, I made my first order, and was pleasantly surprised by how quickly my order was processed and how easy (and hassle-free) the e-card was to apply. Given this positive first experience, I decided to purchase more. Right after I submitted the order, I immediately remembered the 'take5' code that Raise had sent me recently. Quickly clicked on Chat, and was connected with Bryce. Bryce took my wonderful experience with Raise to the next level! He was so helpful and quickly addressed my request, with some helpful advice about how to better handle my next order. Raise has amazing customer support! Thank you Bryce, I'll be shopping on Raise.com again!
I had an issue with a gift card I had purchased, which Customer Rep Caleigh was able to resolve expertly. She was very helpful, friendly, had very good communication skill, and resolved my issue efficiently and quickly. Because of how well Customer Rep Caleigh handled my gc issue, I totally have trust in purchasing from Raise.com.
I had an issue with the remaining balance of a gift card I had purchased from Raise. I contacted Raise and spoke with Fawn; she was excellent. She resolved my issue in a timely manner with professionalism and courtesy.
I ordered 4 sonic giftcards and none will work, even though the balance is correct. They had me contact sonic customer service to replace them. Sonic said I needed to go to the sonic I purchased them from, which I cant. Raise said they will not refund unless I get a written statement from Sonic that the cards wont work. Sonic said the store I bought them from would have to do that (which I didnt buy from). Raise said tough $#*!.
I paid 272.00 on 1/7/16 for a Albertson Physical Gift Card. I went to use it a few weeks later it had zero balance. Called R and was told they would put the money back on as there was an error. I made the mistake of not checking as I had bought others from them. I went to use it 5/9/16 and it had a zero balance. Called Albertson they said the card was used up in another state on 1/8-9-10 the finial day for the balance of $282.17. The card was used up on a Sunday only 3 days after I ordered it Thursday. Albertson said I was scammed and to call Raise. I did and they claimed the 100 day rule. They offered no help in finding out what happened in spite the timing on this looking like an inside job from their staff or vendors. You would think they would want to know how this could happen.
Answer: I had a problem with the lowes gift cards i purchased from Raise as they did not work at lowes. It took upwards of 10 calls and over 3 months before I received my over $700 back. I will never buy anything on Raise again
Answer: People should unite and file a class action lawsuit against these guys, any attorneys reading this?
Answer: You check the balance on the business' website. For instance, if you have a McDonald's gift card, go to McDonald's website to check the card balance.
Answer: The usual issue is that someone will buy a gift card with a stolen credit card and then sell it to Raise (or others) for cash. Usually within 100 days the gift card issuer will find out when they have been charged back for the stolen card purchase, at which point they invalidate the card and zero the balance. Raise.com will refund you the unused balance on the card prior to it being zeroed out, but only within 60 days of your order. Their short protection policy limits their exposure if a high value card is invalidated and you come looking for a refund three months after you bought it. Every gift card reseller has a different policy for refunds. Some are as short as a few weeks, others last 100 days or more. Raise.com's 60 day policy is shorter than many of their competitors, which is why I don't use them much anymore. The lessons I have learned is only order cards you will use entirely within the next month, never gift them to others, and keep a spreadsheet if you order a lot of cards so you can keep track of balances. In all, I've had about 3% of the 200 cards I've ordered suddenly zeroed out. The majority were for improbably large amounts, which is why I now try and order lower value cards. One site suddenly listed 10 $100 gift cards for Jimmy Johns, a sub shop. One has to wonder who would order gift cards like this in the first place, only to put up for resale. It turned out the original buyer used a stolen credit card to buy them all and turned the proceeds into cash. The cards were all zeroed out. I have learned to be suspicious when a large number of high $ value cards in the same amount suddenly go up for sale. So while it may make sense to buy a $100 gift card for Sears, it usually isn't to buy a $100 gift card for Dunkin Donuts.
