Overall great website and online bidding!
I bought an item in 2014. And paid for the item. After two months I never received item. Proxibid user agreement guarantees refund. But when threatened legal actions proxibid renigged on the uses agreement and and I only received 60% refund. And when I complained the customer service manager flagged my account because he was getting a kickback from that auction. I advise everyone to steer clear of proxibid
It was nostalgic picking up auction items from the restaurant. However, the experience was made more pleasant by the courtesy of the auction workers. Everything was well organized by the auction company and the retrieval of bought items was a simple affair. The online bidding process was easy and actually quite fun to participate in.
You bid on items, win, pay for it, but you never receive it.
Call up the auction house and they claim it was sent to the wrong address. Really?
You just shipped $500 worth or merchandise to a wrong address and think that it is not a big deal, just brush it off.
So what the auction house does is put an item up, if it sells for lower than what they want it sold for, they claim that they shipped it to the wrong address, sorry. This way they can ensure they get the price they want while still looking legitimate.
The will give you your money back. What you cannot get back is the time you spent, sometimes the whole day, following the auction. You cannot get that time back, you cannot be compensated for that.
Have had excellent service from Proxibid. There Customer Service Dpt is prompt and courteous.Do not have a problem with them and their on line bidding is excellent and allows you to bid. In bidding, you win some and you lose some. Have had no problems and have spoken to several of the Auction Houses to thank them or have a question on shipping.
We purchased a truck, they fail to disclose pictures they fail to disclose miles they fail to disclose all body damage still has papers from body shop they fail to disclose all damage doors are hanging on never took pics they fail to disclose air bag deployment
They fail to disclose bad engine we purchased a junk pile and the state and government in our country allow a foreign company commit fraud and is ok
Stay away from them or just go look at items first if you can't see items stay away they are a bunch of crooks no different then other companies
At first it was difficult to understand and grasp their process. We decided to run a pilot opportunity and it was successful. Our company will continue to sell our assets with Proxy and their partners.
I always enjoy my time at the Proxibid auctions. When I do get myself into a little scramble and call for help, they're always patient, efficient and pleasant. If Proxibid were not so good, I wouldn't be spending so much.
Thanks for asking and keep up the good work.
Proxibid says that their representative will bid for me in increments up to my maximum preset price. Seems strange that I have paid my maximum price on everything I have purchased through Proxibid. I can bet that the Proxibid representative is telling the auctioneer what my maximum is, and, therefore, the auctioneer is running the bid to my maximum. This is collusion, which is fraud. Proxibid refuses to answer my charges. It's a shame that the internet has created so may crooks.
This was my first time with an on-line auction and it was great. The process was explained completely. Very satisfied with the entire process from registration, to bidding and paying and retrieving my items.
I have had a great experience with Proxibid for over 3 years. Most auction houses are great. The biggest problem I have seen are scamming, or unscrupulous buyers. Looking at reviews of auction houses by those bidders they attack the auction house about what they won. The buyer got items they should have spent 10 times what they actually paid, and then say they should get a refund. Example a ring that should have sold for 100 or more they got for 10 and say they got ripped off WOW WHAT A JOKE. Read the terms and conditions and follow them. If you don't like something then don't bid. If you do bid then pay what you agreed to pay by bidding, and move along. Don't cry because your an idiot who can't read, or thinks that they should get something for free. You are not gonna make a million dollars on 1 item. Be realistic! If you can read, and have a brain in your head then you should go to proxibid. Great deals, and great items.
Proxibid is really neat. I really like it. I like the entire process--the catalog, email updates, and delivery of product. The only thing I would like, that caused me a little problem, was that there was not a map or how-to-get-to directions on the email receipt. I don't like having to go back to the catalog to find some directions.
Great experience and easy to navigate! The process to look and the description are good, also the auction process easy to carry on
I will definitely recommend to my business friend and associates to log in in proxibid for the auction needs.
Proxibid has created a very good platform. The bidding process has been good and when my ISP is working like it should, bidding is quick.
I would ask Proxibid to encourage the auction houses to not scrimp on pictures or item descriptions.
One lay out change I'd like to see is in the My Proxibid page. Under the Watching page, I'd prefer the auctions be listed by ending date rather than beginning date.
In seeing all the bad reviews from bidders its obvious these bad reviews are from bidders that are pissed they have to actually PAY for an item they win on the day they win it. Don't these idiots pay for a gallon of milk when they go to the store? Or do they expect to take a drink to test it before they pay for it.
Be careful using proxibid and the questionable auction houses that are allowed to use the proxibid service. I recently made an online purchase through proxibid at the Schaben auction house in iowa and found they charged my credit card twice for $354.00 for one purchase. The auction house has not responded or refunded the $354.00 over-charge and proxibid sent a very generic email response of "sorry for your recent experience". And that was it. Now i'm out $354.00... my advice is DON'T BID ONLINE THROUGH PROXIBID, if it's not a local auction house that you can go to in person if you have a problem,, stay away from it.
Purchased FAKE Coin through ProxiBid! Disclaimer guarantees authenticity, they wont back it up! Having no luck talking to an individual at this company. Stay Away
Not able to bid on any of their auctions not sure why can always bid on others they have never told me why and so i bid on other auction rather than onestheyrun they are a little big for their own good
I bought an item from an auction house that used Proxbid. The initial set up was straight forward and it was just as simple to follow the item I was interested in on live time bidding from my computer.
I sell and buy on proxybid. The auction house Just Average Goods bounced a $800 check from my consignment items. I refused to pay for my items one in that weeks auction. I will not do business with companies that bounce checks and also our contract was breached when they did. Proxybid in there ultimate wisdome kicks me off of proxybid for not paying that weeks items one. They can bounce my consignment check but I still have to pay my weekly items one?
Answer: You can end up winning the item anywhere between your initial bid and your high bid. Very often we see the pre-bids are outbid, especially if there is a live onsite crowd. Best advice is to put only the amount you feel good about paying and not a dollar more. When you can, participate live. Not only is it fun, but you can enter your bids as the increments go up. Always be sure your computer is working, close things you do not need running in the background. Also, keep in mind if your max bid is 500, someone onsite might win it for 500-dollars and you are outbid, even though the dollar amount is the same. This happens when you are the highest bidder at 475 and the last bidder happens to be someone in the crowd at 500-dollars. In those cases, it might be good for the person running the Proxibid application to know that you are a max bidder for 500 as well, so they can fight to get your bid in first, before an onsite ringer beats you to it. At that point the onsite bidder has to outbid you for 525, if that is what the increment still is. When you are live online it's really a lot of fun and probably makes much more sense, especially when there is audio, what is going on and why you might be paying your max. If you ever feel treated unfairly as an online bidder, contact Proxibid and also contact the auctioneer for whatever company you are using and ask how you ended up at your max. Hope this helps! Proxibid is supposed to be a fun, easy and enjoyable experience.
