I booked a rental car for 4 days. Decided I wanted to add one more day. Called customer service. Talked to 3 people and none of them could help me. Also, I found that the compact car I booked was now $11.00 cheaper per day than what I paid. They would not price match it. Will never deal with them again.
Super 8 in Conroe, tx. This room is nasty and front desk said they cannot get it any cleaner. Mud foot prints on the carpet and bathroom door has been smashed, toilet lid did not fit. This is was not acceptable. Priceline Customer service not any help, offered $20 back.
I tried booking a last minute 'express deal', and it doesn't show the currency of the prices. I live in Canada and I'm booking a place within Canada, most other websites display in CAD automatically, otherwise they have a big ol' USD right next to prices. Priceline however, did not display the currency until after the hotel was booked. Their customer service took multiple attempts to get through, and when I finally managed to get an agent over chat, they took an exceptionally long time to send me a canned response. I fully understood that the 'contract' was signed and non-refundable, but they have zero interest in hearing our customers. Don't waste your time.
Booked a room. Have for last couple years vip platinum.lol.! You pay same price as everyone else. Discounts.lol.! Get rid of third party parasites, then you will get a better price. Price Line screwed up my pre arranged booking and all they could do for my frustration is a 5% express deal discount.LOL! Already get that * ( supposed to anyways) after they jerk you around raising and lowering price by the hour and no rime or reason. Shop around
I booked a hotel via Priceline and literally two minutes later (this is recorded on my emails) cancelled it because we changed our mind about the timing of our trip. My (Canadian) credit card bill showed that I was charged $372.45 on the day I put in the request and the refund didn't come until four days later when the exchange rate was less favourable, so my refund was for $349.73. When I called to complain I was told that they were sorry, but that's their system... Despite having cancelled 2 minutes after purchasing, I paid $22.72 for the privilege. :(
After trying to order a car rental online I received no notification that I could find in my email and ended up not getting a car. Didn't bother trying to cancel since it seemed like it did not go through. Got billed full price. Called to ask for a refund. They said "no." Will not be using them again. Downside of having to do business with Algorithms instead of humans.
My attempt to book flights on PriceLine was one of the most frustrating experiences I have had in 30 years of doing business on the web. I use FireFox on an iMac which works well for all other online transactions. However my attempt to book a flight through PriceLine was an aggravating total failure. I found it easy to enter all the necessary data on Priceline page but there was no "Enter" or "Confirm" or "Next" or similar button visible anywhere. When I moved away from that page and returned all the information I put in was gone. There was no way of knowing if I actually booked the flight. Had I been charged? - were they sending me an email? - attempting to reach Priceline by phone proved futile. Eventually I contacted my bank, blocked any charges from Priceline, and obtained my tickets instead through the airline web page. Hope this helps others avoid the same problem.
Company changed the advertised price after booking adding fees, charges and hidden taxes to my total.
I ended up paying more for accommodation than other sites and they have refused to discuss options to resolve.
Poor way to run a business. I am researching prices for a trip later next year. When we travel we always choose Premium Economy for seats. Went to Booking which auto sent me to priceline. There are no Premium Economy options. Chatted with their online help and was told their sales was closed two yrs ago and they could not help with any thing that included the pre purchase of tickets. So will not be using priceline and will tell others not too.
Out of the goodness of my heart, please believe me, total stranger, that this garbage company will steal your money. There are other good-hearted booking companies that will provide genuine service to their customers. Use those! You deserve a trouble-free trip. Not this terrible service.
Personally had a very distressing experience and judging by additional reviews, I'm not the only one!
I strongly suggest that you don't book with this company.
My experience has resulted in loss of funds and loss of booking. The phrase 'daylight robbery' holds resonance here!
This website charged me for not staying at a horrible hotel. What i saw on the website was not real, what i was getting. The hotel is ugly, dirty, and people on it was not the best looking... i felt unsafe to stay with my wife so we left. We had to sleep at the airport parking lot. After all that i contacted Priceline via chat and they told me that the policy is there and that refund was not an option... priceline don't care about safety only to get peoples money. I will never use Priceline again.
I like it for the name your own price option, but make sure you review everything before you go forward, because if something changes while your in the bidding process and you don't catch it, your screwed. They will not do anything to help you. So keep this in mind. Other than that it's a good service
This site's customer service is no help at all. I reserved a room for a trip for my family of 4 to later find out that the final charge only included two adults and my 2 kids were not guaranteed accommodations.
I tried to reach customer service about it and they asked me to give them 30 minutes to resolve. When I contacted them again, their rep was rude and left me hanging.
I cancelled my reservation and I am crossing my fingers for that to go smoothly because so far it's been so terrible. Sub-par.
I inadvertently chose the wrong airport to land in and they would not correct it even though it happened only minutes after the purchase. I will never book through them again. The problem with these companies is they just don't get customer service. Restaurants for the most part do.
The insurance is a blatant scam. They offer it with full knowledge that it will not be available in the specific case of your travel. This level of dishonestly does not bode well for trusting them on anything. Never again!
I had to cancel my trip due to the wildfires. Priceline refused to refund my card without charging $200. It's very sad that they want to profit off of a natural disaster. Expedia and rental house refunded with no issues.
First and last time I will never use this site again.
Had issues at hotel, was told if he compensated, I had to find another hotel at midnight in a strange city and state. The next day I called to be compensated and supervisor tells me they don't compensate anyone. Reps lie just to get you off the phone, they don't care about their clients at all
I wanted to leave no star but website made me so I chose the lowest one which is a 1
Don't waste your time on these morons
I used their site to book a hotel room and my first attempt prompted a "This deal is no longer available" box to pop up, so I tried again because it was still showing up. I was charged for BOTH transactions less than a minute apart and Priceline refused to cancel one because they were both "valid." Will never be using them again, terrible customer service. I plan on disputing the charge.
Front desk staff very polite and helpful, the entire property is clean, and the rooms are nicely updated. Comfortable bed, good breakfast with typical waffles/fresh fruit/cereal/yogurt/ juice, with fare display as most choice hotels do wherever you go. I had a very good experience and would stay here again.
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
