I live out of the country but maintain a FL address. Priceline sold me an insurance policy for my 1 day car rental (to visit my mother on Christmas) that the rental company didn't accept.
Priceline also sold me an "unlimited mileage" rental car... which was written prominently on the itinerary... that the rental company didn't offer to residents of FL (they call it a local rental despite my residence being 400 miles away).
And what's worse still... it's apparently all my fault for not reading thru the legal disclaimer mumbo jumbo until I got to paragraph 11... where it mentions I should check wth the rental company directly to ascertain their practices and policies before booking (isn't that I why hired Priceline? To find a company that sells me what I want (for the best price))?!?!
Never again. They are encouraging me to call the vendors directly... so that's what I'll do from now on.
I just had to change one letter of one traveller's name on a reservation. They are putting me on hold for more than 30 minutes - the chat function person could not help me. This after boasting of good service. Fail
I have used Priceline many many times. But unfortunately I will no longer be using them. I booked two rooms 4 months prior to our trip. One week before our trip I get an email saying my reservation had been cancelled due to renovations. I was sure that Priceline would take care of me. Unfortunately they did not! The manager was not understanding at all. I had spent hundreds of dollars on tickets going to certain events. There was no way I would find another hotel in that area with this time frame. I feel they could have done more in trying to find other reservations for me. He basically told me here is your refund and now you can get back on our website and try again. They refunded me my reservation money and $90 extra for my troubles. This $90 was nothing compared to what I was already gonna be out. Very very disappointed in PriceLine for not making things right. Even after voicing my concerns of losing me as customer they did not care.
I bid for a car. Used the same price that I could have received if i booked directly from the car company instead of using one of these so-called "deal" sites. Completed the deal unknowingly that i had already given my credit card info. That would not have bothered me as much, but did not see the taxes and fees until "after" the booking. I actually am paying $28 more through Priceline. Directly through Avis, I would have paid the same price of $48 per day, but my total was $255 and not $283.
So, NOT a deal!
Tried calling their 888 number. Recorded message said "unable to do anything right now". Customer service... NONE!
My story is too long to explain on here. However, I will say to watch closely at your reservation because they like to switch the dates and then not let you cancel once you see the date is incorrect. We are out over $500 because of their error/purposeful error.
Their lower prices seem tempting, but they raise the price on you at checkout and when you exit out of the page it's already too late once you put in your credit card info. They make it impossible to cancel claiming their "special rates" are non-refundable. That is just a legal cover so you can't back out of their scam.
Bid on a 4 star and I read the reviews that were horrible -- dirty, small, hear through walls, scary hall way, no hot water. I called Priceline and they could not help. Am Ex allows me to dispute charge but I will probably get the short end of the stick unless I decide to take legal action. I will never use priceline again!
I have cancelled multiple hotel rooms with Hotels.com and no problems. Southwest Airlines gave me a credit towards future flights. Well Priceline says no to refunds despite a shelter in place in the city we were to travel to and all parks, restaurants, and businesses closed. That's right they keep your money despite a global pandemic. I was actually asked "why would you want to cancel the rental car?"
I called PL because after my outgoing flight to Orlando was cancelled by the airline (Alaska), the rental period for my car was lessened by one day. I was able to fly out the next day and picked up the car a day late. The fair thing to do would have been to check my Dollar reservation to verify the truth of my story, then refund one day of the rental period... amounting, no doubt, to less than $100. PL refused, saying only that it was a non-refundable contract. They even acknowledged that the circumstances were completely outside of my control. This is the epitome of zero integrity. (* I should add that even when the first PL phone rep said she was going to refund my entire bill, I said no, that won't be necessary, since I picked up the car a day later. And I only drove for one less day than contracted!) My next phone contact with a supervisor ended in humiliation and defeat. May your zero integrity ultimately result in zero customers. That would be fair!
Booked me in a poor quality hotel under renovation, bugs in room, no internet, poor tv quality, broken chairs, unfriendly staff and to top it off priceline overcharged me $30 a night over the hotels rate. Had to leave hotel after 5 days and spend the last 5 days of my trip somewhere else. Don't use priceline, they will not refund your money and overcharge you! They should be closed down by the government and sued by consumers for false advertising and price gouging!
I made a reservation for Ramada Encore Kiev based on the location shown on the website. It is the wrong location -- 15 km away from where the hotel actually is. When I discovered this and called 2 days before my trip, I was told they had to check with the hotel. I stayed somewhere else, needed to be in the center of town. After I got back, I tried to get reimbursement. They refuse and insist that their research team reviewed this issue and gave a final decision. Terrible customer treatment!
Everytime I speak with folks from India or non American staff they always seem to sound high and don't listen to the information given. The last told me to check my flight status online and call back if anything changes when the whole phone call was about my flight being cancelled. I basically had to walk the guy through on how to do his job "customer service". FFS
Booked a car through Priceline. The event was cancelled, my trip is cancelled. It is March 24. When I call there is a recording that they are taking care of customers who have rentals in the next 72 hours. I figure by the time I'm actually able to talk with a live person it will be too late to do anything and I lose the $217.04. I get that they have a policy of no refunds but this virus is an international crisis and provisions should be made to help their customers. My guess if Priceline will lose a lot of business over this. They certainly lost mine.
Do not EVER book with Priceline.com we booked a round trip flight and hotel through them June 25th of this year and when we arrived at our hotel we found out from our lyft driver that it burnt down over a month ago. Priceline line reps are giving us the run around about getting us another place to stay that is comparable. Comparable? To a burnt down building? Really? Then they come back saying they found one for us 20 miles away. Still trying waiting on them to find us a place to stay currently while we stand in a parking lot across the street. Could priceline not have told us 2 months before our trip that the hotel burnt down?
They don't reveal hidden charges like on car rental, we had to pay and additional $107 in fees for just a 4 day rental. They also have no concern or care for issues you may have using the hotels they recommend. Poor customer service!
Worst customer service ever. I used the name your own price and got a hotel in a lower level than what I asked (based on THEIR guide). 40 minute call with rude "customer service" people just made it worst. If you use it, be advised that you will likely get a hotel that is not as good as advertised.
We recently booked a trip to Hawaii through this Agency. Everything went through as expected. Just today 6-14-21, we received an email notice from Priceline stating that our flight schedule has been changed without our consent. The hours we selected, seat numbers, and flight time all were changed WITHOUT notice. Tried to contact them but not successful. This is absolutely unacceptable. Terrible customer service. Strongly not recommend to anyone.
Unhappy customer.
I am a VIP member and used Priceline for many bookings, but God Forbid, you actually need customer service or a manager to handle something! You are lucky they pick up the phone, they are answering from a 3rd world country and just repeat the same thing over and over! I am deleting my account and will never book anything with them again! My flight time changed and I can not fly on those dates now and they refuse to refund me the return flight cost! $275 down the drain!
I have ground transportation in my package but long story short when I contacted the ground transportation company theres no reservation for me and priceline is not fixing this issue after being paid fully.
Traveling to Miami for one night, requested a room in the "Downtown Area", the room we received was on the very outskirts, it was at the Miami Airport. Priceline reserved and paid for a King room, without asking my preference for beds. Now one of us will be sleeping on a sofa bed. Neither the priceline or the hotel would make any effort to correct the problem. Not worth the $40 that we saved. Obviously the hotel doesn't care about customer assistance either. So I won't be staying at Springhill Suites by Marriott Miami Airport /Medical Center again.
Not a great start to our cruise vacation.
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
