The overall reputation of the company reveals significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to issues with booking accuracy, hidden fees, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. OHHHHH MY GOD THIS IS THE MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I EVER HAVE AN MY LIFE. THE HOTEL THE I BOOK AT PRICELINE AT THE WEB SITE THE SHOW BEAUTIFUL PICTURES BUT WHEN U GET THERE IS RIDICULOUS BAD. AND WHEN I COLL TO COMPLEMENT THE REPRESENTATIVE IS INDIANS AND THE DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM TOKE ABOUT. GOD IS NIGHTMARE
The best price within 24 hours, not best price in general! Last time to do biz with Priceline.
My flying ticket price went down by $100 few days after I purchased it. Customer service in not in the US, and really hard to communicate to.
I paid for a hotel room for 3 days and when I went to pay for the fourth day Priceline took the money off my card on the app and then it said it was declined. But the bank showed that the money was taken out, so I called Priceline and ask to speak to a manager name Cindy she said it would take up to 7 days to get my money back, my wife and I said that wouldn't be good enough that why would it decline it? Which she couldn't really explain. So at her request we called our bank and had a conference call and she said she would email them and let them know that they were no longer trying to take the money out of our account and my bank asked for her letterhead what did it say on it and she couldn't explain, so she said just to call them back in 3 minutes 2 an hour to see if they have the paperwork or email requesting not to take the money out of my bank since it was still pending beard that I don't like when I have a debit card in the money's already taken out it says pending because someone is not on my card. This is the second time this has happened the first time I signed up but they ran out of rooms so no money was taken off my card I still couldn't get an answer on why they took the money off my card when there was rooms available and they said that my card was declined, even though my bank says that there's plenty of enough money on there and wasn't declined on the banks end. Last time I'll ever use Priceline I'd rather use hotels.com, even though it might cost a few dollars more it's for my peace of mind and then I know that I'm getting a room that I'm paying for.
I specifically looked for a car rental located at the Orlando International Airport terminal so we could quickly drop off the car to make an early morning flight. I skipped over all the cheaper "shuttle to airport" options to rent a car located at the airport, but after I paid for the car, I saw on the receipt that the car was not located at the airport and a shuttle was required. I was not able to cancel or change my reservation, even after speaking to a "manager."
Booked a flight only had to cancel due to work when I called 21 days in advance they informed me my money was nonrefundable they do not let you know that until you cancel and all for a refund Never Use this Fraud for anything that was alot of money they stole...
Booked with priceline when i was in town for a funeral. Motel gave me a receipt for $82, priceline charged me $104! When I called priceline the customer svc agent kept saying that price was reserved for priceline customers that booked online! Never could get her to understand that i had booked online! First & last time! Didnt care when i told her i would write a bad review either. Guess they think they're too big to fall
I looked on the internet to call Drury Inn. I thought I was getting the Drury direct and when I mentioned that I wanted to speak with the hotel in The Woodlands, I was told they were the hotels reservation # and they would just forward the call to them. I was NEVER told it was Priceline. When I tried to cancel, I was put through to India and was told the charge had gone through and I couldn't get my $$ back. When I asked to speak with someone that I could understand, they said a supervisor would call me back but I never heard from them.
In April this year, I booked the hotel in NY with Priceline, for my family of 4 - two adults and two kids, both 6 yrs old. I got an Express Deal, which doesn't give you a lot of details, just number of stars, rough location, amenities etc. By default, express deals means you're getting the room for two, but, as it was clearly stated on the booking page that "two children under 13 years are staying free of charge when using existing beds" I decided to book. Just in case, I took a screenshot with these conditions. In the confirmation I got, only 2 adults room capacity was mentioned, so I decided to call the hotel and confirm. Hotel said they can't accomodate us all in the same room, and I will need to book extra room for kids (+ ~500 dollars). I called Priceline, and spend around 3 hours with various support representatives and escalation managers who repeated the same mantra - your booking is non cancellable and non changeable, and there nothing they can do to resolve my situation. They were not willing to hear and understand that my booking decision was based on the misleading and plain wrong information THEY have provided. Finally, I was lucky to get through to department head who, after conversation with the hotel, agreed to make a "one time exception" and cancel my booking. This was absolute WORST customer experience I ever had. Needless to say, I will NEVER use their service again. PLEASE BE AWARE and use Express deals at your own risk - you may not be as lucky as me today.
Only good for 24 hours. They will book you into a "No Cancellation" reservation and keep your money. Liars and cheats. Buyer Beware! Doesn't get any worse than this. Stay away!
Terrible customer service. They will keep you on hold forever. They will not call to confirm that the hotel has rooms available. They don't help their customers no matter how many thousands they spend on one trip. Sadly I will never recommend this company
The price of the hotels change from 1min to 5min as you are browsing so be careful. Whatever hotel your interested in google and call do not look at pictures. Most hotels are overpriced especially the 2-3 stars ones.
This company S U C K S! Takes your money, won't give it back, ties in with Booking.com to make it even harder to resolve or change a reservation.
IMPOSSIBLE to speak to a human being. Get ready to file a complaint with your Attorney Generals Office. Do not use either of these companies!
When your choice is to book for amount of rooms, you are not told that 1 room equals 2 people. It is not clear until you pay. Then the hotels say they can't alter third party bookings and Priceline tells you to take it up with the hotel. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere.
They seriously have the worst customer service. I am a business owner. I book hotels for my guys all the time. I used Priceline and the booking day was off and wouldn't refund me. Had to pay the hotel again so my guys had a place to sleep. Horrible just horrible.
Please don't ever use their car rental service. The first time I booked through Priceline they allowed me to book a location that wasn't open the hours I reserved the vehicle. I thought ok well maybe that was a one time error since Priceline isn't local they go based off national chain hours. The second time used them, I booked and confirmed my rental, arrived at the rental car location and they said they have NO vehicles at all.
I called to get a refund and the representative acted as though she was doing me a favor by refunding me the charges
Priceline Express deal - They chose the hotel for us. But guess what.
It was in the wrong city. An hour away in the opposite direction. They refused a refund.
I made a reservation for 2 nights didn't use them and was charged not even offered any help whatsoever. No credit towards any other stays in the future! NOTHING
Booked a room in Madison, WI through Priceline. I needed the room for the night and Pricelines website said I was getting the room for the night, but the hotel wouldn't let me check in til the next day. I called Priceline and they refused to refund my money. They then called the hotel and they also refused.
Be very weary of Priceline!
Be aware Priceline. I booked a hotel online for 2 nights. They have charged me a fees and i did not see any where on Priceline where they have mentioned any fees. That is dishonest. Other companies never charged me any fees when i booked online. They should let us know if they charge fees. I would have cancelled, but my trip is nonrefundable. I will never use Priceline again. Online booking shouldn't be any fees.
I had the worst experience with Priceline yesterday. I purchased a hotel room that said one king and one double bed with breakfast. When I got the confirmation email it to only said that I had a one bed hotel room. I called to get it corrected and Priceline would do absolutely nothing about it. They said that the hotel does not have two bed hotel rooms available so I asked for a refund. They of course because of their policy cannot give refunds for my room. They completely faults advertised the room saying it was two beds with a breakfast and I am stuck with a one bed hotel room. I am furious that they can falsely advertise and not back it up. I will never use Priceline again. I have read many reviews like this where the hotel room was advertised as something different than what somebody purchased and Priceline will not correct their error or remove it off their website. So frustrated. Have never had such poor customer service from anywhere. Will never use them again. I really thought that by using a well known website such as Priceline that I would be safe but had no clue that this frequently happens to customers.
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
