This was my first and last trip to Mexico. We had a very bad experience with this company. The agent who organized this trip deceived us. When we arrived at the hotel, the employee at the front desk said that we had a simple room that did not include anything except the pool. We called our agent and he answered on speakerphone that we had access to everything including food and other benefits. The worker at the front desk could not receive us for almost 2 hours, saying that we do not have access, we can only sleep in our room. Then we called the agent again, he began to speak Spanish with the employee so that we could not understand, then he spoke on the phone for a long time with the owner of the hotel and after everything, this agent began to tell us a completely opposite story, that we were not entitled to anything, we could not come to an agreement with him, he was deceiving us, we didn't know where to go and what to do?
In the end we were forced to stay in this room and pay for everything, although in the very beginning everything was paid for. It was a terrible room, everything was old, there weren't even face towels, we bought paper to use. In the room, instead of 1 large bed, there were 2 small ones, we even paid for drinking water. I have never had a trip like this, I will not use this company again and will not recommend it to anyone. I will not forget the stress that we experienced on the first day and will tell my friends. We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary, but were very disappointed because all the hotel workers knew this story
Here is the number of this agent *******810
Let him be ashamed of his deception...

I Have used Priceline for several reservations and, until now, I have been satisfied with the service. I have not felt fooled or deceived in any way. This past weekend I bid on a hotel room in Downtown montreal. I was taking my wife and kids there for the weekend to enjoy the city.

I first put a bid on the room but it was not sufficient. The website advised then to increase the bid by $20 and the request was accepted. I was then surprised to see that i had TWO RESERVATIONS MADE FOR THE SAME BID IN THE SAME LOCATION (DOWNTOWN MONTREAL). When I called priceline, they told me that the reservations were not cancellable, refundable, ect. And that I basically had to pay the two different hotels.

It is obviously extremely enraging and frustrating to be charged twice in the first place and the lack of response from priceline was even more disappointing.

Why would I make two separate requests for the same dates, locations, at the same bid price? Why would priceline.com process two similar requests for the same customer at the same bid price?

Their system is highly prone to system errors, honest mistakes, and their inflexible policy does not provide any safety measures to consumers.

Never buy a ticket on Priceline if it is important that you get home. I was on a European trip when Lufthansa cancelled the first leg of my return trip five days before I was due to leave. Because I had bought the ticket via Priceline I had to work with them to rebook. However, Priceline was so incredibly incompetent that, even though there were flights from Zagreb-Seattle (my route) on the day I was due to fly with seats available, they could not get Lufthansa, who was legally required to rebook me, to agree to a single rebooking request with 30 days. So Priceline cancelled my ticket and I had to buy a new ticket out of pocket at a premium price (last minute in a busy travel season.) To add insult to injury, I only got a refund for 2/3s of what I originally paid for the ticket (it was a round trip, and the way they calculated the refund, I got less than half the amount I paid even though the return ticket was the more expensive route.) Not only did I have to rebook at my own expense, but I had to spend over 4 hours on the phone in a foreign country to even get to the point where I was told I they would not rebook me. So simple advice - if you actually need to get where you are going (or need to get home) DO NOT BUY A TICKET FROM PRICELINE.

Look at all the bad reviews online for using Priceline, or a better name would be Price Scam. Do your research before booking with this company. I thought I was booking through Bj's warehouse travel, but they use Priceline and do not say anything to you about it. I called Bj's with my problem, and they referred me to Priceline, that is the only way I knew PriceScam was used.

Would be a 0-star review if that were an option. No customer service, no customer satisfaction and could care less what happens to their customers or their experience. They are partners with Spirit airlines who are the dregs of airlines. I guess you pay for what you get. If you want canceled, delayed and poor flights this is your company to book with. There are fees and additional charges for everything. They charge $200 for the flight and $400 for your carry-on bags and seat selection. That is beside the point and not even my issue. They had 4 planes sitting in the hanger and no staff to fly them. We were only missing a co-pilot for our crew. They delayed us for over 8 hours saying it was because of the weather. Then canceled the flight and told us it was because of the weather. The inside airport staff was so fed up with the constant questions about our flight they told us the truth, they said the co-pilot called off because he didn't want to fly such a late flight. Our only option was to wait in the airport for 12 more hours for the next Spirit flight that could get us to Philadelphia. I would take 18 more hours to fly back to the east coast with a layover after going further west to LA. It was crazy unbelievable. Was stranded in the airport for 13+hours, but I was eventually lucky enough to find seats on a last-minute flight to come home to Delaware. Cost me $1760 extra. I did it all on my own with no help from Priceline. They said nothing they can do, that's how it is. If it's not their fault, then there was nothing they were willing to do. I spoke to the executive team when I returned, they offered me $50 total to split between all 5 of us for the inconvenience. What a joke. Learned this lesson the hard way. Price Scam got us good!

Waste of time, money, effort, and Gasoline
August 11, 2023

We set up a car rental for Enterprise through Priceline. Thank GOD we didn't prepay; we would have lost it all. We got to Enterprise and were informed that we would have to pay additional fees for insurance (we already have full coverage on our car, and this covers any rentals) plus an additional deposit, neither of which were listed on Priceline's website. The rental agent waffled on whether the deposit was considered refundable or non-refundable. So we went on our merry way to the second Priceline LIE, er, fiasco: the hotel.

We were supposed to check in between 3 pm and 9 pm at the Sleep Inn in Palatka, Florida on Tuesday Aug 8. When we arrived at around 6 pm, we were told that we would have to pay a deposit on our credit card in the amount of several hundred dollars which might (or, more probably, would NOT) be refunded for a one-night stay. Again, this is not something that was disclosed on the Priceline website. The second issue is that Priceline touted this hotel as "pet friendly" and that our dog would be welcome. When I was checking in, the lady at the counter asked me how many people would be using the room, and I told her two adults and our Basset Hound. She immediately got huffy and told me that animals were most definitely NOT permitted in their establishment. We had paid for the room up front (at Priceline's insistence), and they are now refusing to reply to emails and phone calls. It was only AFTER we made the payment that the disclaimer (image highlighted in blue) was shown that they payment was non-refundable.

If you don't mind throwing money away, go ahead and use Priceline as a booking agent.

Found what I thought was a good deal on Priceline for NYC Hotel stay that Priceline said was "all inclusive and included taxes and fees". Trip was fine. Hotel then charged me over $200 in "Destination Fees" for water/coffee/?other that was NOT in the amount I paid.
Priceline hid behind the small print on their website that was DECEPTIVE AND MISLEADING when I contacted them. They claimed they had no way of knowing them and it was between me and the hotel. The hotel eventually refunded and I asked them to stop working with Priceline or talk with them about this boondoggle practice. I contacted Priceline and was basically hung up on at least twice with standard verbiage they resolved it which was not the case and refused to hear me out even to understand the problem better and my "ask" that they disclose this better. I will be encouraging my senators and representatives to continue with HR 4489 designed to force disclosure of all fees in the advertised rate. Be VERY WARY OF PRICELINE and read https://www.insidehook.com/daily_brief/travel/what-are-hotel-destination-fees for additional details of this unfortunate industry practice to be wary of.

The WORST
September 12, 2022

Bought three round-trip tickets in the early morning of August 18th and realized I spelled a name wrong. I called within hours to adjust and was told I had to cancel, so I did. This process took several phone calls and hours. I also called on September 6th about charges still on my credit card and was told they would take care of it. It is now September 12th and five phone calls later and four hours of my time, they still have a one-way flight for one of the passengers as active and I still have two charges on my credit card. When I asked to talk to a manager, I was transferred to DJ Devine... yes I was told DJ Devine was the supervisor. Devine told me the flight had been canceled and wasn't sure what I was talking about. My response was, then how come the rep who took my call before her, told me since I was canceling a month out I would be charged $300 to cancel this flight? Devine didn't know but she said she would send me an email confirming the cancelation. I only got the email asking about my experience. Still no confirmation about the cancelation.
They have been absolutely incompetent and overall HORRIBLE in every way. I would suggest to anyone to NEVER use PRICELINE.

Priceline is HORRIBLE when it comes to service and its "change"/"cancellation" policies. BEWARE -- ONCE YOU HIT "SUBMIT" THERE IS NO GETTING YOUR MONEY BACK! And, to make things worse, if you rebook a room and agree to pay the $25.00 cancellation fee (that they claim is doing YOU a favor), you can't request 2 queen beds at the Ramada Inn in Poway or they will cancel your reservation -- just happened to me TODAY! I can not recommend Priceline or the Ramada Inn in Poway and if you talk to someone named Joy at the Ramada Inn in Poway BEWARE -- if you even hint at the ridiculousness of an upcharge for two queens vs. a king (even if you are traveling with kids or someone you don't want to share a bed with), she will cancel your reservation citing "problems prior to your stay" as the reason for doing so. Needless to say, I am going to be driving back and forth from Temecula to San Diego the whole weekend for early soccer games because of NO PLACE to stay. Thanks Priceline and Ramada Poway, you are two class act organizations -- NOT!

Priceline lies about VIP members getting special deals on hotel fees. On priceiline.com, I booked a trip that included 2 different hotels. When I booked it, online, it stated that there would be no "at hotel fees" for the first hotel, which i was staying one day there. It stated that the second one would charge "$7 per day," for the 3 days I was there. So, I would pay $21 in hotel fees, to the hotel, for my entire trip. The first hotel charged me $21 (supposed to be $0 based on the info from priceline.com) and the second hotel charged me $51 per day ($153 when it was supposed to be $21). Priceline just said i have to pay those fees to the hotel directly. Well priceline, your website said I would only have to pay $7 per day to the hotel. Now you're saying your system says that i needed to pay the first hotel $21, and nothing for the second hotel (or you just have no data for that). Well I don't really care who I paid the $21 to. I expected to pay it. I do care about the other $153 that I was charged, that was incorrect on your website when I booked. I've talked with the hotels and they've confirmed that it was not their error. They don't offer such discounts on hotel fees. The discount shown on priceline was a priceline discount. Priceline is refusing to honor it. I've spent hours on chats and phone calls with priceline and the hotels, and everything pointed back to it being a priceline error. Do you think I got my money back? NOPE! They have to be stopped. Bait and switch isn't legal priceline!

I called priceline again today, and i explained the whole issue again, and was transferred to someone at booking.com who couldn't help me either because i didn't have a confirmation number for them. I didn't even use booking, i used priceline. So i called back, and again was transferred to someone called the 'manager' but she couldn't help either so she said they would have to call me back. I'll sit and wait for that call for a long time i'm sure.

I unknowingly booked with a substandard car company with shady business practices and got no help from Priceline. I actually spent more for a dirty car and bad service than I would have booking directly with a reputable car company.

I requested a car at the Toronto Canada airport through Priceline. After walking across the street to the car rental location. They told us that the shuttle pick-up for the non-airport car rentals was offsite. We had to take a train to another location and then call for a shuttle. This phone was set up to call multiple car companies, but no one answered. A group formed and someone finally used their cell phone to call the shuttle.

The shuttle was full, and several people were already waiting when we arrived. The 2 agents were working the desk and leaving each time to get and inspect the car.

My bill was $269.03 instead of the $157.32 that Priceline listed. The agent would not allow me to use my personal car insurance nor the insurance option available to me through my credit card company. When I said I would go online and buy the $13 a day Priceline insurance, he said I could not do that and even if I bought the Priceline insurance, I would still have to buy their insurance! Then he charged me $41.90 a day for insurance with a $1250 deductible! We accepted the overcharge and a dirty car, because we had already wasted 3 hours and had no quick way back to the airport.

When I returned the car a day early, the agent said there was no refund because I had to pay for all days reserved. When I started taking pictures of the insurance rates posted and the name of the company, he threw the keys back and me and told me that he was not going to accept the car until the time that it was due. I reported everything to Priceline; they offered no help.

Worst experience
January 30, 2022

Worst service experience. Specially when the booking is to pick up from Buffalo Airport Dollar or Herts company as the representatives are same. Worst combination, ripoff, waist of your time. I gave the card from which I booked the car but the card was not good enough as it was a debit card AND NO WHERE DURING MY BOOK I WAS WARNED THAT NEED TO TAKE OR HAVE A CREDIT CARD WHEN I AM PICKING UP AN SUV. During my pickup representative with earbuds on told me I can only have sedan as I am didn't bring my credit card I was like ok fair enough will you adjust the price accordingly to Sedan he had no clue what I was talking about. As I was getting late I told him ok go ahead give me the sedan for the SUV price now he went inside spoke with his supervisor and told me I have to come back next day for the car. The representative had ego issues or something. Priceline customer care representative was also not
Very helpful or motivated to find any solutions but was happy to charge a fee and cancel the booking.

I am set to fly to Ashville, NC to pick up rental but do not want to risk. I am requesting to change my pick up site from Miami, FL and drive to NC. This will require me to travel earlier and extend my stay to allow for driving time. It would also require me to rent a bigger vehicle to accommodate my family. NO BRAINER MORE $$ for them. Grey from Priceline (supervisor) said because I planned my trip prior to Corona Virus outbreak that I am not covered to make any changes or cancellations.
Talk about being ignorant - I am not canceling, I am still using their services and I am spending more $$. The vehicles are there because I looked it up on Thrifty's Miami, website. But they said Thrifty makes the rules... Thrifty says Priceline makes the rules! I WILL NEVER USE THRIFTY OR PRICELINE AGAIN... I hope that once they get over making things worse for everyone stressing them out further during these trying times that they FOLD/go bankrupt. Business need to remember what they do today because it will come back to bite them tomorrow. A little more consideration to reduce the tension would be the correct thing to do.

I booked a rental car on priceline.com a few days ago to pick up a car from SFO (San Francisco airport) and returned on the 20th. Priceline.com stated on line the prices of each car type and its price, then they put a sign by the price of the car that says, if you pay upfront now before picking up the car on Friday, you will receive a discount and listed the discount price if pay right away and just pick the car up on Friday. I paid for the car and received a confirmation for the reservation.
When I went to the airport to pick up the car, the car rental (Thrifty and Dollar) said that I didn't have a reservation. I gave them the reservation paper and they said, I needed to call Priceline.com because I had already paid for the car, but they did not send the confirmation. The rental car company also said that they could talk to Priceline.com and tell them that they can go ahead and do a new reservation and they will honor the price that I had reserved the previous reservation car for. The person on the phone from Priceline.com said, that she would. She proceeded to make a new reservation, and in the end, she said she couldn't honor the price that I had reserved the previous reservation for and that I could get a refund for what they deducted from my account. My reason for booking the car online with priceline.com is because it was cheaper, now they didn't want to honor the reservation I had made with them and that they had taken out the $$ from my account for the car that I supposed to rent today. This is very bad business and unreliable because they took the money from my account, and decided that didn't want to rent me the car... So be careful when you rent a car from Priceline.com because they could take the $$ from your account and you don't get the car, nor your $$. They said they would credit my account in 24 hours, so far they haven't. I read their policy which states that it would take 5- 10 days to get your refund back. This is different than what the agency told me on the phone... I am not sure why they are in business if this is how conflicting and unreliable they are... BE CAREFUL WITH PRICELINE.COM

I had to make a trip out of state for a funeral. It would have too expensive for me to drive, and, all the websites I checked for airfare quoted me a price of at least $800 per person, round trip. As a last resort I checked out priceline.com, not knowing what to expect. I requested round trip airfare (from California to Texas), a hotel room for 2 nights, and a rental car for the duration of my trip, and to my utter amazement, was given a total price of $700 for everything! I booked the trip and expected the worse. Everything went well, and I was anticipating total disaster. The only draw back was the flights were not direct flights, so we had one stop each way, so the first day of our trip we spent flying, and coming home we arrived after midnight. The hotel was 2 1/2 stars, but very nice! The complimentary breakfast was great. Checking in for the flights, room, and car were hassle free. I would say that the customer service for priceline sucks though. I called to request an earlier flight and was told they would make a one time exception due to the circumstances of my trip for an extra $50 per person. And, the second morning of our trip, the hot water was broken at the hotel, and the priceline customer service wasted 50 minutes of my time on the phone saying ". Still checking, hold on... still checking, hold on", when I called to request a new hotel. The hot water was working again by the time I got pissed off and hung up the phone. All in all, I would definitely use the site again, I would either pay more to change the flight or add another day to my trip to accomidate the travel time. The price for this trip was really unbeatable. Now if only the same could be said for pricelines customer service!
