Quality hotels at great rates with Priceline membership discounts. Nationwide dependable service when you need to book a room
Want to cancel 15 minutes after I may the deal and they will not refund my money never use priceline again
Priceline charged me a higher rate than the motel was actually charging. No refund allowed.
Never again!
Go with kayak at one time priceline was good not now they took me 150.00 more then rental car company
Missed 1 letter in my last name when booking, called immediately to correct and was charged an additional $30 after spending $980 on flights.
You're not going to find any cheaper hotel than on Priceline. I think it's hands down the best rates for hotels, airfare and car rentals. Unbeatable!
Shari's Berries... WAY over priced! No one at contact center speaks english! You've gotten your last $250 order from this EX customer!
They've always got deals, just gotta know how to look. Rented a car on there and flight before. Good deal
Policies are geared against the customer. Non- refundable payments mean that hotel service really lacks in quality.
I booked my trip via phone with an agent. He lied about the Hotel info and priceline won't refund me
Call the rental company to ensure you get details about 2nd drivers bc Priceline isn't honor contract
Australia trip ticket 1\3 off that's what I saved I had a great time there and spent the savings on thing I liked
Priceline's advisors are completely useless. They have no idea of the conditions or quality of a hotel that they recommend. Our latest encounter was with their review and recommendation of the Knights Inn in Gallup New Mexico. The ad said that it had a great staff to tend to your needs they had breakfast a pool and a clean environment.
On arrival at this location as soon as you walked in the door you noticed a very strong smell of mildew. At the desk there was nobody attending a phone to pick up and call somebody to come talk to you through the plexiglass. On the ceiling above the desk the pain is bubbled up and peeling. The whole Lobby is dirty the kitchen tables and chairs are stacked on top of each other because it is closed. Even though it says it comes with free breakfast there is nothing to eat at this hotel. It also advertises a swimming pool which has a big sign on the door that is also closed. We went to our room and walked in the first thing we noticed was a dirty towel on the counter and unwrapped used bar of soap. Next to the sink a bug was crawling across the wall and they were black drops of something in the caulking next to the sink. On inspection of our bed in between the mattresses where the Red Dot telltale signs of bed bugs. As we used a Priceline advisor to book this reservation he steered us away from a better Hotel to say this was a great deal and a great place to live. As the Priceline call center is not even in the US nobody at Priceline has or knows anything about the quality control of the hotels they promote. The only way Priceline would refund the prepaid Hotel fee was with permission from the hotel owner. I will never ever ever in my life book through Priceline or prepay for a hotel again!
Wow I never write reviews or complain but this one deserves to be said so other people can avoid this pitfall. I normally book trips through Expedia and should've stuck with them. Priceline had some cheaper rental car options so I thought I'd give it a try, why not? On my first attempt to book a rental car ($600 total), when I clicked the "confirm my booking" link, Priceline's site popped up a box that said unfortunately the car was unavailable, please try another one, and proceeded to take me to the main page. No confirmation number, no reservation page, no email, nothing. Just boom, back to the main page. I figured the system had a glitch, and went ahead and tried booking again, and this time Priceline took me to the confirmation/itinerary page with a reservation number and everything.
About an hour later, I get 2 emails from Priceline with 2 DIFFERENT confirmation numbers. What the heck?! So I call the car rental service who says it can only be cancelled through Priceline. I then call Priceline and speak to customer service, and get transferred to a manager. She told me Priceline could ONLY cancel the 2nd reservation (the one I had all the info for...), and that there was a $120 cancellation fee. Even though I asked for an exception to waive the cancellation fee since the glitch was LITERALLY on Priceline's website, she said there was nothing she could do. So basically I thought I was saving because Priceline had some cheaper car options, but in the end I spent more time, frustrated energy, and paid for a dumb cancellation fee that shouldn't have happened. Priceline's policies are unreasonable and like other companies, they should definitely make exceptions for mistakes on their end. Needless to say I will not be booking through them again.
As a longtime Priceline customer, it hurts me to give this review. I bundled a hotel & rental car for a trip to Florida. The car company was Green Motion, which we had never heard of, and they were listed as being at the Ft Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport. They were not--they were over a couple miles away in a sketchy area. Their van never came but thankfully a driver from a competing company actually gave us a ride to Green Motion's location. We opted not to buy their insurance since our own policy covers rental cars but were told that we had to pay $8 per day as an "administrative fee" for listing our own policy—seriously? Absolutely one of the dumbest things I had ever heard of, but there we stood with our luggage, stuck in the middle of nowhere with no car unless we agreed to pay this $45 fee which they refused to drop. We had pre-paid Priceline what was supposed to be all of the charges, so what was up with charging more money once we got there? After we got home, I talked to several customer service agents at Priceline & they were either too dumb to catch onto the fact that customers shouldn't be charged extra or that's just their song & dance but none would help me get the money back. Then I found the name and address of the man in charge of Priceline's car rentals and, since Priceline wouldn't give me his email address or phone number, I sent him a letter asking for help leveraging this company for my money back or refunding me. Additionally, I hoped they would check the company out because they weren't located where they were supposed to be, didn't seem to have a shuttle to their office as was advertised and charged above and beyond what I should've had to pay. I got no response. I will never use Priceline again & highly recommend that you don't either. It goes without saying that everyone should stay away from Green Motion too.
Their bug on their website booked us 1person 1 room and they wouldn't correct it. We were foreced to pay $500 extra.
I was booking a hotel, at the top of their Payment page, it clearly stated "flexible cancellation until 11:59pm July 9th" right below the hotel's name, highlighted in green color. Because of this statement, I went ahead and completed booking. I then received an email confirmation, but within the email, there was a section for "cancellation policy" where is said "26% of penalty will be charged if canceled after July 4th". I called customer service, the agent and the 2nd level agent both just repeated the same stuff to me, that the cancellation policy was stated in their contract somewhere. I then requested for a supervisor, he told me the same thing: those cancellation policy were indicated in the contract under the "Booking Conditions" link where it had other links such as "Terms and Conditions", "Privacy Policy". I asked them why they didn't show these detailed policy at top of the page, where it said "flexible cancellation until 11:59pm July 9th", or why did they display this statement at all, which obviously misled me. I told them I didn't click on the "Booking Conditions" link because I was convinced by the clause "flexible cancellation until 11:59pm July 9th" at the top of the screen. Btw, there was also no hover over description or any side note explaining what "flexible cancellation" means. To me, I thought cancellation is flexible until July 9th. Their response was "the policy was stated within the contract at the time of booking, therefore there is nothing we can do". They refused of any wrong doings and didn't honor the full refund because of the hidden terms in one of their many links at the bottom of the screen. So watch out for Priceline, don't fall into this trap like I did. They have no integrity or honor, they would do anything to trick customer into "complete booking" first, even if meant misleading customers with false information.
I am SO disappointed in Priceline.com. I always thought I was getting a good deal when using the site, until I found a rate that was almost HALF the price of one other Express Deals. The site makes it seem so simple and 'hassle-free' to get a refund for the difference. The customer service agent said that I could not receive the 'best price guarantee' because the other site actually offered cancellation, unlike Priceline's nonrefundable, no cancellation policy. However, the website says "Comparable Cancellation Policies" which the agent told me actually means "Must be the same or more strict." Why not make that policy clear online? Don't advertise something as a guarantee when it is not at all guarantee. This is false advertising. Another site is offering a cheaper rate AND better service, yet they do NOTHING to at least attempt to keep a customer happy. All I received was the same scripted lines over and over. Again, nothing to even TRY to make the situation better knowing that I am now wasting over $500 on a hotel room (which they say is 2 1/2 stars, but is more like 2 on other websites). I have used Expedia, Booking.com and Southwestvacations.com before who have all honored price differences without giving any push back. Those companies (and I'm sure most others) know how to retain customers. We travel a lot, I know people who book travel for work, and I will gladly spread the word about never using Priceline again. This company obviously does not value it's customers and has no sense in clear messaging/advertising and retaining customers. It is very sad knowing that a company would treat customers this way, especially a travel site. Booking travel should make people happy, not make them angry. Please Priceline, make your messages more clear online, stop making "best price guarantees" and take a lesson in valuing and retaining customers.
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
