I booked a room that stated that it was pet friendly. When I arrived to the hotel, big sign on front desk stated otherwise. I asked receptionist about it and she said no pets, several times. When I said that's false advertising, she said if I must, I can pay an extra 30 a night. So, I called Priceline cs. They said nothing they can do unless the hotel agrees to refund, which they would only refund one day... despite false advertising Priceline wouldn't help other than ask the hotel... which I already did.
What a terrible company. I booked a rental in advance through Priceline. I paid $644 for a full sized suv. Upon completing my rental reservation and dropping off my car, I was emailed a final receipt from the rental company. It was for $577. Any person with a brain can see that I overpaid and am due a partial refund. I contacted Priceline and they said due to overbookings at priceline, im not due a refund. It doesn't matter how your company operates or if you over book. I paid for something and the final amount due was less than I paid, therefore I am owed a refund of the difference. F PRICELINE. I will never book with them again. Terrible company. Terrible customer service. I don't know who's pocketing my $67 refund, but my credit card company is gonna go after them. Avoid Priceline!
In June I pulled off the highway because I was exhausted and looked for the nearest hotels. Priceline had a Baymont nearby so I booked a room. The Baymont in our Florida town is very nice. This wasn't. It had an abandoned and dilapidated RV parked in the lot on the side. Day workers - legal or otherwise we're outside smoking, visiting and had made it a permanent home. In addition the front portico was in need of repairs. I called Priceline and said I didn't feel safe there and that it was a dump. How do I change hotels? I booked a Days Inn nearby with them. I was told to cancel on line but the reservation was deleted so I could not cancel because the agent had removed it. I called back the agent and told him about this. I called Baymont and spoke to the reservation clerk and she said the reservation was cancelled. When a called Priceline about billing me the next day for 2 payments on the same night- one that I cancelled - the Agent said too bad because I called it a dump and that was not a good enough reason to cancel. I told him that the place was not safe and that was a good enough reason. I tried to kick the complaint to a higher power and have not been able to do that and get my money back. Also at both the locations the walk-in price was the same as Priceline's posted price. That is not a savings. By the way Wyndham once owned the snazziest hotel in Tampa and now they have let their name be dragged through the mud with locations that are in poor condition and management. Forget Priceline!
$#*! this company. This company is from another country has suppliers that I know that our criminals. This company is absolute criminals from another country. That sucks and they take your money and run away with it and never give you any money back for booked hotel rooms in never even made a reservation for. I am suing this company on a fine company and had the feds at their doorstep and destroy them.
I am a retired airline pilot. When my father became critically ill and was on the brink of dying, I changed from one Priceline car rental two days prior and instead rented a car VIA PRICELINE for the next day. For some reason, a $100 penalty was assessed, and even the superviser in Calcutta wouldn't reverse the charge. Family members who travel even more than me laughed, saying they had ALL given up Priceline in favor of Costco. I have a Costco-arranged Alamo rental tonight; fingers crossed it is better than my Priceline experience.
Really it's a zero! Why else would I take the time to do this. I got my receipt from the hotel to turn in for reimbursement from my company. Then I checked my credit card statement a few days later—$17.99 booking fee and a higher charge to my card than what the hotel charged. $46 is what it ended up costing me for the dummy tax. Don't be a dummy—don't use Priceline.
Zero stars is my review. We purchased optima seating with Priceline on our flight. They entered it in wrong and after 15 calls to Priceline and American nothing at all was done. You got what you got was the attitude. Priceline customer service could care less. It's a shame they take your extra money and then steal from you. ZERO STARS!
We booked a hotel in Milan for our honeymoon through Priceline. Without warning, the reservation was handled by their partner Agoda. One week before the stay, Agoda canceled the booking due to overbooking. We were already in Europe when it happened. Priceline initially said they'd fix it at no cost. Then they told me there was "nothing they could do" because it was an Agoda booking. Agoda, meanwhile, was rude and offered no comparable hotel. Just AgodaCash or a delayed refund. We couldn't rebook—prices had tripled—and had to cancel Italy altogether. I reached out to Priceline's leadership on LinkedIn. No reply. No responsibility taken. No customer care whatsoever. If a company can't back the bookings it processes, what's the point of using it? I'll never trust Priceline again.
3 months of continued emails to get a refund from Priceline for a hotel stay which was cancelled 10 minutes after seeing buying directly from Hotel was 400 US less They are cheats and liars with horrible excuses. Kick the can down to the next desk hoping I will cave. Not Stay away from booking with Priceline
This review concerns Priceline-Powered "Frontier Vacations" which is nothing but a scam company. They refuse to refund me for 1 night of a hotel stay. They have a call center in Columbia so that will give you some idea of what you are in for when you call. Avoid Priceline and Frontier Vacations at all costs or you will be sorry!
I had booked a flight ticket while checking in in airport my reservation number was not in the system i had to buy a new ticket in airport from the flight desk and the agency not replied or care about my case even i had contacted with them several times
I booked a flight through Priceline with United Airlines, and before completing the purchase, I was prompted to add travel insurance to protect my money in case I needed to cancel or change the trip. I paid for the ticket with the insurance included, trusting that I would be covered in case of emergencies. Later, I encountered an unexpected emergency and needed to change my flight date. I contacted Priceline, and they told me they couldn't help because it was a United Airlines ticket, and I needed to contact the airline directly. When I spoke to United Airlines, they said my ticket was a basic economy fare and couldn't be changed. I explained that I had purchased insurance, and they told me to contact the insurance company. I reached out to Xcover (the insurance provider), and they directed me to submit a claim online. I provided hospital documents and appointment letters and completed the claim process. The very next day, I was shocked to receive an email saying my claim was denied with no detailed explanation. I followed up by calling Priceline again. The customer service agent was very rude and unhelpful. She eventually transferred me to David, the supervisor, who bluntly told me that "your policy doesn't cover this situation." No empathy. No effort to resolve anything. Just a cold response and a complete loss of my money. This experience was deeply frustrating, and I feel scammed. I strongly warn others NOT to book through Priceline or purchase Xcover insurance. Their customer service is horrible, the insurance is misleading, and your money is not safe. You will be left alone with no help when something goes wrong.
Booked a car with them weeks ahead of time for San Diego, CA (SAN) airport to visit my son on base. When I arrived at the rental counter, I was told that they booked the car for pickup at the Tijuana, Mexico airport. The agent says it's a common issue with them because they list the Tijuana location as a San Diego location but all reservations show the "SAN" airport. Trying to call them is a joke and when I finally talked to a service rep; she told me there was nothing they could do and I would need to have the rental agency change the reservation. The rental agency said they couldn't change it, the reservation needed to be changed by Priceline. The ONLY other option from Priceline was to cancel the reservation and they credit me the upfront fees without a cancellation fee... WTF! So glad they would wave a cancellation fee for an issue that was their fault! I was beyond pissed with the customer support and their managers; I will never deal with the pathetic company again! Also, I was told by an agent after booking another car with the rental agency that they would reimburse me the difference for the fee since they screwed up. Submitted a claim and they denied the claim!
Do NOT book economy with Priceline if you want an additional carry on bag! I booked a united flight through Priceline, and what was their "economy" class was Basic Economy- no overhead carry on bags. They are not clear about this, they never tell you that you are not allowed a carry on through the entire process. Instead just go to the individual airline sites and shop for yourself!
I usually book through Priceline. And this time was no different. I booked my airline tickets through them and when I went to pay they took my money from account but did not send me confirmation so I called them and they stated that they did not have a return flight so it was cancelled but they still took the money from my account and said that it would be refunded in 7-10 business days. Well being the fact that I needed the flight that week I was out of $1500 and no way to receive it back. To say the least I had to go to the airline and purchase the tickets that way. I also booked my rental car through them. BUT when I got to the airport they notified me that they could not honor the booking because they did not have any vehicles and that there must be a glitch in the Priceline website. So here I was stranded with no rental car and no way to get to my destination. This was the worst experience I have ever had with them. I will never book with them again unless it is a hotel only!
Priceline deals are a lie and they will choose the worst hotels. I was booked in a hotel that had terrible reviews and over charged. Then when I told the hotel about how bad it was to stay there there had no hot water for 4 days, bug in the room, dirty shower stall i had to clean myself, outlets that were loose and they said they could only issue me a refund on the service fee cause I used a third party app to book them. When in brought the issue up with Priceline they gave me a back and forth and still after 3 months the issue is not resolved and Priceline will not issue me a refund for one of the worst stays I've ever had and they still book people in this hotel that has terrible reviews
I got very sick the day before I was supposed to stay at the hotel. I tried to just change my hotel reservation from the day I was supposed to arrive to the following Saturday and never heard back from them. I did buy the cancellation policy as well. I wish I had looked at the reviews before I booked. Lesson learned.
Falsely lists closed properties even after I have reported this several times such as The Swan Inn Bridgnorth FREE Parking 24 Hour Self Check-in.
Priceline changed an existing reservation but did not tell me that it was non-refundable. I called the hotel to confirm and they could not find my reservation so I made another reservation at a different hotel because the original hotel was completely booked. Priceline refused to refund me saying the reservation was non-refundable. It turns out that they booked it reversing my first and last name. Now I have two reservations paid for and no refund. I will never use Priceline again. NEVER!
Booked a rental car from "Routes Car Rental" in Cancun through priceline for 6 days. Booking details said that CDW was optional and counter people would try and upsell this insurance to us. Once there, we were told that this insurance was mandatory. Tried to walk out but the priceline booking said that it was non refundable so walked back in as to not lose the $244 we had already paid for the 6 day rental. Mandatory insurance was $85 a day so around $700, bringing the 6 day total close to $1,000.
Got back home and tried to contact priceline to dispute this charge and was told that I had to go through my bank and dispute the charge on my credit card, which got me nowhere since I used the chip/PIN to do the transaction. Quite the scam these people have going.
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
