I have been buying on poshmark for 2 years. I have bought 30 items. Ive never had a bad experience. I bought a ll bean down jacket for $60. It was like brand new. Brand new they are $300. You can get designer rare vintage. Anything you want. And you can resell too. Its a great app and experience.
Bought a golf sweater pullover that had only been worn a few times. Washed it and it came out with holes in it. Clearly had been abused before it was sold to me. Shouldve been a clear-cut return but Poshmark decided in their infinite wisdom to decline my request. Buy from Poshmark at your peril. I will never again.
I purchased a shirt listed as size XL, they sent a size L. I messaged Poshmark letting them know and the seller was apologetic. Poshmark sent me a return label while I was away for a wedding and stated that it needed to be mailed within 48 hrs. When I got back home they had closed the case. I messaged the seller and she was still apologetic and said she would gladly take the return so I messaged Poshmark again letting them know and the girl (Ashley) denied facilitating the return, even though the seller was happy to take it back. This was clearly a mistake by the seller and she was more than willing to take the shirt back, but Poshmark denied making it right. Therefore, I would suggest NOT buying anything on Poshmark. Hopefully they step up their customer service game.
I recently bought a luxury item that was obviously a fake when I received it. I contacted customer support since Poshmark advertised that items that don't match the description can be returned and refunded; however, I couldn't contact the seller personally and Poshmark ended up adding $5 to my account as "credit" for my loss of a couple hundred.
About 2 months ago I started shopping and for a pair of sneakers that come out over a 2 years ago. I came across this site that had my exact size and was brand new! I should've known it was too good to be true, but my first reaction was to buy them before someone else did. So I made an account and brought them! 3 days later I started checking for the shipping information, nothing! I tried contacting the seller, again nothing. Then I tried contacting the site, also nothing! I brought sneakers from resellers all the time, this was an eye opener!
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING ON HERE!
I purchased Versace handbag from Poshmark. That smelled so bad I had to out it in a plastic bag and return it. Poshmark agreed to refund me but after I spent 70.00 to return it to Poshmark. Now they say they will not refund me. They are the worst resale site ever. Now I am getting a lawyer to recover my funds and disputing the charges. Not a good site and the are very hard to communicate with. They are saying one thing and then do another..
I could tell by the photos alone that the shoes were counterfeit. IF they want to become such a site, known for selling counterfeit items then they should continue with things as they are. Could brands eventually sue them for such activity? Or do they pass the blame on to the person they helped to facilitate the sale of counterfeit goods? I was not happy with a lot of the items I searched for on there.
I don't ever leave reviews because I am too busy in my life and most of the time, I usually leave good reviews not bad because I don't want to be the bad guy… however I just have to take the time out of the day and leave a review because what happened to me is absolutely disgraceful. I've purchased two items from poshmark (first time buying and my last!). First I was sent a completely different item, shoes were different color as well being damaged. Poshmark requested photos of packaging as well as the photos of the item. They closed the case in sellers favor! SAME THING HAPPENED to me again with another seller. Damaged item, not as described! Poshmark screwed me AGAIN. How is this platform still existing? How have they not been sued yet? This is absolutely disgusting. They claim they have buyers protection but they don't actually do anything when you get screwed! Never shopping on there again.
I purchased an item from postmark and it was damaged when I received it. I replied several times to either get a new item delivered to me that was not broken or send a refund and I never received either. I urge you not to order anything from them. They send damaged products and don't care about their customers!
I bought a wig from Poshmark that was supposed to be platinum blonde and it came in as a dark blonde and in spite of everything I did to show them, including pictures, they would not give me a refund. Please, please do not do business with Poshmark. They are doing business with sellers who will lie about everything to keep your money.
After some success using Poshmark, I have had 2 bad experiences with them. First time - the item was not in the condition that was listed. Second time, I never received the item. Apparently seller went to the post office with 2 sales, and mixed up the labels. After contacting Poshmark, they sent me a label to mail the incorrect item that I received to its rightful buyer. That buyer, who also was given a free label, never did the same. So I was out the money and my purchase. Contacted Poshmark and they never responded to my emails. Never again will I make another purchase on that website. As the saying goes, "fool me once, same on you, fool me twice, shame on me".
I purchase a 7 piece comforter set for $114 which was slightly lower than the current retail price. When I received it, the comforter was torn and was missing 3 pillows, so it was really not a 7 piece set but a 4 piece set. When I tried to initiate a return, the website was not working properly so I immediately sent an email to customer service. They asked for pictures of the tear, which I promptly sent, but they still did not stop the payment from going through. They offered me a $50 credit but I am stuck with junk and not decorative pillows. Stick with Ebay. They at least stand by their buyers.
Purchased a purse and the seller has not responded to let me know if she is going to ship it. I do believe that is rude, and I asked to cancel my order and Poshmark want let me. That is a bad faith seller.
Poshmark doesn't care about dishonest sellers and they will ignore evidence to claim the money they receive from the sale. The shirt I ordered said "pink" or I would not have bought it. The shirt was red/orange and the seller was further dishonest by saying we wore it when we had not had it more than a day. We sent photos and other ads for the shirt that showed it was clearly NOT pink. Poshmark didn't care and let the seller scam us. Won't be buying on poshmark again.
I made a purchase for a jersey. The item received was for a Duke jersey and did not match the description listed for the item. It was the wrong jersey entirely. When I requested a return, in accordance with their policy, they said that I should have asked more questions and I should donate the item or sell it on my own. This site is a rip off and they don't even follow their own policies.
Buyers Beware! No protection from the company! Seller stated dress was a size 6 and would only fit a size 2! Will never visit this site again! Company didnt email or respond to any of my requests. Seller even agreed to refund me because she knew it would never fit a size 6 and posh company totally disregarded the issue without any response. Dont understand how this selling site can be allowed to sell online!
I ordered a Bruce Springsteen tee shirt from a seller on Poshmark. It was a size small. (and see through). Well, what I got was a size small children's tee shirt. It was described in very good condition. I complained about the size, as I expected to be able to wear the shirt. They would not take it back, despite the obvious dishonesty of the seller. It was either severely shrunk or a child's size. Now I'm out $200. The seller had the nerve to tell me there was nothing I could do about it. Well, I will get my bank involved and tell as many people as I can that this is a scam outfit. It's Goodwill with a fancy name!
The golf grips i bought looking at a picture of the grips,. The golf grips i received were fake and i did know until i took them to the golf shop to be installed. Poshmark could't help me and didn't tell me who the seller was to help me get a refund. I don't think they even deserve a one star. The fake ones in the pictures have different fonts see the cords already coming out of the rubber grip. Disgusting, the real ones i bought from the golf shop are the darker ones.
They sell items and they never get delivered. The sellers cannot be contacted aND it's like the company takes no responsibility for what is being sold or how it's being managed. I will never use this site again. I cannot believe they can even stay in business.
This site clearly states that they do not allow the sell of counterfeits, yet when you report them they do not take them down, and if you comment (no matter how politely), the the item is not authentic, they send you email saying to "stick to your business" or else!
Total joke, people buying fake Coach purses (my area of expertise), and I can not help them not to be scammed, because I would lose my account. Terrible site!
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
