I've placed 4 orders within the past 2 months, and had to cancel 2 of them due to no shipment from seller. PM should change how they run their business or they will lose. The 2 items I did get were very very good deals though. SO I will go to PM just to check if what I plan on purchasing on ebay is cheaper there and Consider dealing with PM but it is very unlikely. I might save a few dollars on PM, but the probability of getting the item is low.
Customer service is awful. Bought a cardigan with size listed, it was so small and honestly looked like it had been through the wringer even though a NWT was attached. It was refused as a return. I guess I will donate to charity. Poshmark in general has a very poor rating. If Won't be buying from them again.
-Sellers are allowed 7 Days to mail out an item. This is an absurdly lengthy amount of time to take a used item already on hand and place it in the mail.
-Buyer is only given 3 days to put in a complaint. How is it that the the seller is allocated 7 days of laddie-da time to do whatever but the buyers aren't given the same courtesy?
-No picture minimum for sellers on listings. I just feel like this should be standard... I've seen so many posting here with shady buyers attempting to con sellers and it could all be solved if more proof were handy.
-No private messaging. How am I supposed to contact my seller or buyer discreetly? Commenting "Hey, it's been 4 days and you've updated your closet but not sent my shipment... what gives?" is just weird.
This is my first and last experience with Poshmark. I purchase a pair of shoes from the website listed as a valentino authentic shoes. Turned out it is not valentino, but mario valentino. The customer service after one week silence and didn't even give me any reason to close the case simply saying it is not qualified to file a return. So I'd rather use TRR. All stuff you buy from Poshmark is final. Too bad, sellers can trick u and false advertise. I just wasted 200 dollars to learn a lesson.
Fun, friendly, great deals, super customer support, what more could you want? I love Poshmark! Why keep or donate good stuff you aren't going to wear, when you can sell it and use the $ toward buying something you will wear!
I purchased a dress from a "Posh Ambassador" liyynicole on Sunday after my "make an offer" was completely ignored. My credit card was charged immediately, but I still have received no contact from this seller and my item has not shipped. I have only purchased a few things from this site over the past couple of years and more than 50% of the time I have been totally disappointed. Customer service is completely non-existent. I'm just sorry that I didn't see all of the comments here before I purchased yet again. I'll be posting my experience on every site I can find, so others won't be burned the way I and so many others have been by Poshmark!
Why do I need a prepaid shipping label?! I don't know about US but I Canada worki g with post Canada is extremely expensive which poshmark has contract with. Why do I have to charge my customers 13$ CAD while I can ship their order via an other shipping company for around 5$.
On top of that, the offering system is super wired too. If a seller wants to offer, she/he can lower the price as much she wants, why the shipping price should get extra discount?
What will left for sellers?
This site is deceptive. You would do better taking nice clothes to a local consignment shop. Twice I have ordered items that were discontinued on here. The first time, the item was frayed, worn and the wrong size. No returns are allowed unless the chief Dumpmaster decides the description was in error. I didn't bother. I just threw it away. The second time, the item stank with perfume or detergent or something. I laundered it and it did no good. The item is sitting my garage. So far the site keep pelting me with emails that make no sense. I made an attempt to file a complaint. Ultimately, I went to American Express and filed a dispute. Usually, that is the end of it.
I have been an eBay seller for 14 years. I've finally been ripped off on Poshmark by s buyer who bought new shoes, wore them- evidence that the sticker was off one heel, they had water marks on soles, scuffs, breaks to the leather. My photos posted showed new shoes. I have 100% feedback on eBay and never ever had a buyer do this to me. If they had tried, eBay would not have allowed it.
They tried to accuse me of wearing the shoes, which were not my size by the way, prior to shipping. Oh. Their refund to the buyer was given and this sorry site gave me $30 to spend on it.
Total rip off of 1300. 00 shoes damaged and I wont be able to sell them now for more than $100.
Now I'm afraid to sell anything because they don't care. I had five plus photos and the bottoms were clean with stickers came back dirt, scuffed and worn. You can't talk to anyone and responses
Generated are automatic.
Do not sell high dollars new items here or you'll face the same situation I have.
They sold us a Tory Burch purse that was listed as in 'perfect' condition but the purse arrived in terribly worn condition (we have the photos to prove it) and they will not send a return label and give a refund. It's a classic Bait and Switch scheme. $150 plus $6.95 for S/H.
I ordered an item 5 days ago it says item should ship within 2-5 days waiting for confirmation I emailed posh they got back to me quickly and said if item doesn't ship in 7 days I can cancel I just want the item why can't they monitor the sellers and the sale... I understand there are a lot of people on posh selling stuff but damn... they sure did take my money quick now I know the seller doesn't get the money till I accept item but it's time consuming looking for the right item and then sitting around wondering if it will ever come... this is my first and last purchase on posh I now don't trust anyone if I ever get my item I might change my review and my mind but I doubt it... I thought this was a good site now I'm thinking not so much
I have only been a buyer, so far, but am very happy with the app, the community, and my purchases. Some sellers are more experienced at presenting their products but overall, a very good service. I think the secret here is to be very honest about the item you are trying to sell.
If you're wanting to buy pre-owned items with some sort of customer service and buyers assurance, Poshmark is not the place to go. I purchased a pair of earrings for $300 and they took 7 weeks to arrive. In the meantime reaching out to customer was a waste of time. Buyers be ware!
I mailed my purchase back. They assumed I did not because USPS delayed tracking which happens sometimes and did not refund me, Instead they released money to the seller> so the seller has her coat and my money. How stupid? And there is nothing I could have done differently except maybe control the weather, eradicate covid, and prevent any other mail delays just so poshmark would not assume USPS works like a swiss watch. Morons run this business and they won't get any business from me. A reminder to others, always always start a dispute with paypal and your credit card, so that in the end it is poshmark who loses money not you.
I started using Poshmark this year and I am not impressed. First, the customer service is horrible. Second, you have some not so good Poshers that send bad merchandise, take several days to ship items that were purchased, and don't accept items that were shipped. It is a 50/50 chance when buying and selling from this platform with no support. The app needs some improvements also. The policies are not fair, for instance if someone doesn't ship in 3-5 days you have to wait until day 7 to cancel the order. But lastly, this company is money hungry. It charges 20% of sells over $20. Other platforms are less. The shipping isn't fair because something that would take a stamp like a pin for instance you would be charged $7.11 for shipping. The shipping costs have prevented me from purchasing. I think I will close my closet and donate my goods.
I you NEED to buy products and want you products to arrive on time do NOT shop there. Ordered and item that was over $200 never received my item and took well over 10 day to get my refund. Many of the items on their site are not really available. But they will keep you money for days.
I'm new to Poshmark and haven't had the best experience. Can anyone tell me why they take money when you Make an Offer. Still fighting to get it back. Receive automatic emails. Having to involve bank & RCMP. Has this happened to anyone? Getting the run around. Made 1 purchase and it was fine. Apparently they can't find my account? I don't think Poshmark is going to be around for long. Going to report this to the BBB. Not very professional and are about as quick as a turtle. Money was out of my account within minutes. But it's been over a week and I'm still waiting for my money!
Tired of run around! I have bought a lot of items on this site. Most were wonderful. A couple threw in garbage.
If I wanted to get my money back from seller canceling. Took forever. If at all. They still owe me and ignore my message. So they steal from you!
Won't buy again
I had a case against me on a bag with pics showing exactly what would be received. I lost based on the fact that I did not disclose something I was not asked about and fully showed. As a seller I will never use this again. I am also curious as to how often this happens to sellers.
Sellers get squeezed for every little penny. The seller payment system is especially frustrating, specifically thanks to Poshmark charging fees to receive your money faster. The alternative? Direct Deposit, where your money is listed as 'processing' for days before actually landing in your account. Obviously it's a shady gimmick to get sellers to choose the 'fee based' payments. Hey Poshmark - it's the 21st Century, so make seller payments immediate, for free.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
