I've been shopping poshmark since they first opened and now they're too big for their britches they do not back up their loyal and great clients! I recently bought an item from a seller who indicated the item would fit a small or medium which I am. I then requested a return. After a week of waiting, they told me I should have asked for the measurements, lol! Then why indicating small or medium even matter then!?! I'm supposed to be blamed for the sellers misrepresentation? Well I will never buy anything from that crap site again! Oh btw that site has gone to crap anyways people love selling they're torn garbage there anyways
I ordered an item back on January 30th. The seller sent me the wrong item. I immediately started a claim and finally got the ok to mail the item back. I shipped the item on February 10th and here it is 12 days later (using 1-3 day shipping), and the package is lost. I have emailed poshmark over a week ago with no response. I have called the post office that the item is at with no luck. I have also messaged the seller a few times in the comments of the item and she will not cooperate. I am currently out $95 with no idea what to do. I will not be buying from the site again, and if I don't hear something within a couple days I will be reporting them to my credit card company!
Recently I sent a priority box to my aunt in Virginia, Box weight almost 5lbs.The cost on my own was almost $19. I know most don't buy that much from 1 seller but with priority shipping, you gain many things/ insurance, tracking, sent and received notices, and faster shipping. This is the only way to keep track of items being sent and received, if sent with cheap shipping how would anyone know if the item/items they bought were really shipped and how would they know if ever received by buyer, not doing the priority is rather scary to me with so many scams/scammers out there. I would rather pay the extra. 54 cents they raised the fee to, and have a bit more piece of mind, rather than a seller claiming they sent out items, without having any way to prove they did. Or having a buyer say well if it was sent I never received it. Even if they really did.
Bought a 6 item bundle. It shipped in good time but a necklace and a pair of Cole Haan shoes were missing! No way to contact the seller and Poshmark only offered $15 "Poshcredits"! What? I wanted the shoes for my son not credits I had to spend with them! Would be easy for them to contact the seller and tell them the error and to send my necklace and shoes; which by the way were marked as SOLD on the sellers page because I had paid for them. I never approved the money transfer after I received the shipment and Poshmark went ahead and transferred my funds to the seller before they even responded to my notification to them of missing items! This is a terrible way to run an online business. I have been selling online for 7 years and Poshmark falls way below the bar.
I purchased A pair of jeans that were identical to a pair I already owned. They were advertised as being a 4 long, which is exactly what I wanted. However the seller neglected to mention that she cut off about 3 inches at the bottom! When I complained I was simply offered a 15.00 credit towards my next purchase (there won't be one) I posted a review which of course I see is nowhere to be found.
I have been selling with poshmark for over a year. I absolutely love this site and it makes me sad that so many people are having problems. I had one instance where an item was never received due to the post office and postmark paid both me and gave the buyer their money back. My friends and family use this app to buy designer products and have never faced any problems. I do agree that their prices for shipping are quite outrageous now. I have seen a decrease in selling due to these prices.
BOUGHT A SHIRT ONLINE FOR $36.49 ONLY TO FIND THREE CHARGES ON MY CARD. ONE FOR 36.49 THEN ANOTHER FOR 16.49 AND ANOTHER FOR 15.49. NOT GOOD!
This site has some great items listed by the sellers. That being said, it takes 20% of your sale. There are other sites that take less of a percentage and still have excellent items for sale. What's more, is that once you sell an item, they sometimes take up to 21 days to pay you. On other sites you get paid within four days. Additionally, this site has absolutely no customer service. The best You can expect is to send an email and hope that maybe someday in the future they will respond. I have some items appear for sale but I will be removing them to other sites soon.
Decided to give this site a try for shoes despite review. Purchase went smooth then nothing. Waited 7 days as site said and after 7 days my Cancel Order button DISAPPEARED. Submitted email stating cancel order. Still waiting on response from company. Buyers beware.
Sold a perfect condition running jacket with absolutely no flaws. Buyer then left me negative feedback saying I sold it to her with an undisclosed "broken zipper". I don't sell things in poor condition. I have 100% positive feedback going on 18 yrs on eBay so that should speak for itself. Poshmark seems to have sketchy buyers and leaves the seller with no recourse in this kind of situation. I'll never sell there again. Do yourself a favour folks. Stick to eBay where there's some seller protection too.
No communication, no one to talk to. "posh" mark should change its name to "POS"mark due to the way they treat the sellers that put 20% profit of their sales into their pocket. Their is no loyalty to sellers that work their tails off listing merchandise and then having the entire collection deleted and being banned from selling permanently, because this HORRID company with ludicrous policies only stands behind the buyer, no matter what lies they tell. Sell on ETSY and EBAY. Two great companies that are fair to both sides and YOU set the price without dealing with low ballers, that in the end, cause you to have your account revoked when they lie about the merchandise they received. STEER CLEAR OF P-O-S Mark -_-
Don't get me wrong I sold thousands of dollars on PM but they banned me because a user claimed harassment! (Yeah, you, "mommadawg") when she in fact, was the one harassing me after I questioned her poor rating after she lowballed me for a rather expensive authentic item. The item was wrapped perfectly and shipped within two days. Do not trust these buyers! And $#*! Poshmark for not taking my side when I had hundreds of sales a 4.8 rating AND several love notes!
I have been buying and selling with Poshmark for a few years now. I do have a few complaints. I get that shipping went up but my goodness it does not cost $6.50 to ship a tee shirt. That is highway robbery. So I end up paying $11.50 for a $5.00 shirt? I can go to a store and get it cheaper at that point. Also, once you place an item at $4 or less you make like $. 10 on the item. Is it even worth the hassle of shipping at that point? No, it is not. My BIGGEST issue with them is this... As company... Poshmark please DEACTIVATE INACTIVE accounts! I don't know how many countless times I have liked something and inquired about the item, only to realize that seller has not been on Poshmark for a year plus. I have purchased items on sale only to never have it shipped out and then wait 15 days for Poshmark to give my money back. This issue would decrease tremendously if they would just deactivate accounts with no activity for a certain amount of time.
POSHMARK ALLOWED A WOMAN TO RIP ME OFF FOR 200 DOLLARS ON A BRAND NEW LULULEMON COAT. NO ONE WILL EMAIL ME BACK ITS BEEN A MONTH. IM ABOUT TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH BB AND OPEN A CLAIM WITH THIS COMPANY. GARBAGE. RUN AWAY FROM THEM AND USE MERCARI OR ANYTHING ELSE. SERIOUSLY.
This site is not worth your time. First they charge a hefty fee when you sale something.
This is more of a buyer's site instead of a sellers site. If you don't put word from word description in your listing and the buyer complains they take their side. There are too many rules you have to go by when you are paying them. I don't really like to go by someone telling me what to do when I am giving them not only my business but my money.
The ONE and only good thing about Posh mark is that there is a huge community to sell too so your product gets out there. However if the buyer doesn't like what they purchased its a waste of time.
They restrict your account if you don't ship out ur stuff fast enough and everything else. I think I would stick to eBay. They need to do something about returning some products. I mean this stuff is used people what do you expect. I mean you are already getting a good deal some of these things are worth way more then you get especially since you have to pay them a fee.

I SENT AN ITEM TO SOMEONE THEY DELETED THEIR ACCOUNT AND THEY DID NOT RATE SO THEREFORE I NEVER GOT THE MONEY AND SHOES WERE TAKEN BY THEM. I TOLD POSHMARK AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO! UM IF THEY WERE A RESPECTABLE SITE THEY WOULD JUST GIVE ME THE FUNDS THAT ARE SITTING IN PENDING. AND ALSO I HAD A 220 BIKINI I SENT OUT TO SOMEONE AND THEY PERSON STATED THEY RECEIVED IT AND THEN THEY DECIDED TI CANCLE THE PURCHASE AFTER I SENT IT AND I TOLD THEM THIS And no response FROM THEM AND THE FUNDS HAVE BEEN PENDING FOR DAYS AND SINCE THEY CANCLED THE TRANSACTION I PROBABLY WONT GET PAID 220 AND MY OTHER 60 DOLLARS I WILL NEVER EVER EVER BUY FROM THIS SHOP AGAIN I $#*!ING HATE POSHMARK HORRIBLE BUSINESS WITH THEM. ID RATHER GO ON MERC.
I purchased a Coach purse from here and got it, I did not accept the order because it was clearly a fake when I received it. Coach does not verify purses, but I took it to a REAL COACH STORE and they said they have never had this purse ever and it clearly was a fake. Poshmark apparently thinks they are Coach experts and without seeing it and only photos from the seller, who claimed it was authentic, Poshmark denied the claim saying it was authentic. REALLY. So I am stuck with a fake purse because some Poshmark person on the back end thinks they are an expert. Beware of this site for fakes!
The site is fine, but the shipping rates went up lately and they are honestly stupid. Anything you buy ends costing much more than if you buy it new to the original retailer. Such a waist of time, it used to be better but now just don't
I only have ordered twice from this site. And will never again. Both times poshmark contacted me a day or two later and said the sale was canceled bc the buyer changed their mind or the item somehow magically is damaged. What a waste of time. I recommend ebay. I've never had a problem with ebay
I have bought some items on this site and sold some items on this site. If you buy the flaw is: say you buy a t shirt for $10 and that is the only thing that seller has that you want you end up paying $16.50 with the outrageous shipping fee. Not the sellers fault. Something needs to be done about the high shipping. I mean you might as well buy a brand new shirt. Ok as a seller. Say I am selling brand new gloves and I list them at $7 the buyer wants to talk me down because of the ridiculous shipping so they offer $5 that means I make $2! I mean seriously $2. Now the good part: as a buyer if one seller has like 3 items or more and you buy them all from the same person. Great deal on shipping. Same as a seller I love it when someone comes in and buys more hen 3 items! Fantastic! I guess if they do something about the shipping fees and the fees they take are outrageous also it could be one of the best selling sites out there. - spookykisses-
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
