So a few weeks ago I bought an Overwatch account that was Grandmaster, so that I could have a spare on hand. Now a few days ago I get this email from Blizzard saying that the account was cheated on, and that they detected that it was most likely a purchased account from a boosting site (obviously they were spot on here.)
I try to contact the seller via Discord (he had added me when originally selling it)... no response
I set up a dispute on the website, and include all ban reports and emails from Blizzard, seller has not responded and provided no counter evidence.
Now I escalated the dispute and the support team of Playerauctions keeps sending me the same stock copy-and-pasted response of "blah blah blah we didn't rule in your favor blah blah blah (bear in mind I have received about 4 of these emails and it is literally a copy and paste, but it is from different help representatives each time... nice)
They do not help me to tell me what I need to do for a favorable ruling, they do not tell me what evidence will help, and most of all what is the most frustrating is... THE SELLER PROBABLY HAS NO IDEA THIS DISPUTE IS EVEN HAPPENING... YET THEY STILL RULE IN HIS FAVOR.
Okay sorry for the rant, but because of this horrible customer service, it is quite clear I will never be using this site again. What's even worse is I spent the extra money for the account protection or whatever, and it clearly has not done anything, I would AT LEAST like a refund for this, as clearly it has done nothing for me.
I just can't believe how useless their support is being, and won't even give me a human interaction response... STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE!
P.S. This was a rant so I didn't quite state everything with the best of clarity... if I could make anything easier to understand, just let me know.

I bought a runescape account from playerauctions a few months back with insurance and it got recovered. I had my email registered to the account, so the only person who could of have recovered it was the seller using his IP adress & payment IDs. I made a dispute on the site and they flat out declared it to the favor of the seller with no explanation. Contacted support many times and they avoided my questions and were not helpful at all. I did not get any sort of refund even though i had insurance. I will not be using playerauctions again after this experience.

Sorry to hear about what happened with your Runescape OS account purchase. I understand this can be frustrating but I'd like to explain the process. When something like this happens, a dispute is escalated by the buyer and during this dispute process, the buyer is required to submit compelling evidence to prove that the game account was reclaimed. The evidence our team would like to see is an email screenshot from the game publisher telling the buyer that the account was reclaimed or recovered by the previous owner. There can be variants to this, but it revolves around this idea. Upon checking, I also found out that you filed a chargeback case on your payment option and unfortunately, we have to suspend cases like these as chargeback cases preclude us from offering support and it totally eliminates the mediation process we have in place.

Site and trasaction is slow, but the order made it through with little frustration. Be careful and always buy only from trusted sellers.

Have had to place two different orders, had to cancel first order because it was stuck at verification despite all instructions being followed and am yet to receive a refund for this attempted purchase, created a new order and now I'm back at square 0, having payed twice as much as intended just to receive nothing, would not recommend, doesn't work properly and receive uninformative automated responses which just make the experience even more frustrating.

I attempted to buy csgo 2 times, one account with it on it, and a cd key, the account seller had 2000 reviews and 4 star feedback, and the cdkey seller had ******* reviews at 5 stars, BOTH failed to give me a functioning account or cdkey, absolutely appalling..

Less than average in support in every way possible. I was kicking back and forth to different department. Supervisor is no special either. I was ignored in one one important aspect which is about seller scamming.

So i sold my account the buyer refunded the money, they cant help because the money left the site, i cant even give the buyer negative rating this is how useless they are.So scammer just do the same u will get free accounts ;)

Ive sold plenty of accounts that went smoothly, disputes and any issues that may occur during the process are first fixed by the seller and buyer, and if it is not, it gets escalated towards player auctions which do the third person view using the chat logs
Please think twice before you make any purchase from this site.
I purchased twice: the league skins that was send through gifts. The seller had almost 20k good reviews. Everything goes very smoothly in the beginning. They did send your skins(Through the gifting system) and respond everything quickly. So that I wrote down good reviews too.
About a week or two later my skins were refunded. I first thought it was a riot bug so that I submitted a riot game ticket. They told me the transaction that was used to purchase gift were reversed and result my skins being locked again.
After finding out this, I go ahead and went for site support, and until now I have not yet received anything from the site or the seller.
Additionally, the seller that seemed to scam me is still selling items, I tried to reverse my positive review but nothing came up, they still have more than 95% of positive reviews.
I am still waiting for the site to respond to my ticket submitted, I will update any follow-ups on my case.

There were two done on the same day, one was refunded and this is where I was getting confused.

I bought an account on May 1st this year, like so many other people here are saying a few months down the line the account was re-claimed, I tried to contact Blizzard but couldn't do anything as they were the old owner of the account.
Battletag changed back to what it was before, friends list not removed yet though, quite the coincidence that the name is precisely what it was before I changed it again however!
Stay away, this seems to be a very very common occurence!

To be honest, I didn't expect to receive any update or refund for my lost case from PA. As you can read from my previous review below, I lost my dispute against scammer seller regardless of providing my evidence.
After I left my feedback in SiteJabber, I received a response from PA service representative, Richard, surprisingly. I didn't bother at first as I thought that was some sort of cover-up act from PA
Few days after, I actually received a message from Richard (PA service rep) via SiteJabber, with PA store credit that matches my initial purchase + insurance value.
I really appreciate to Richard to bring this case up and resolve my issue regardless of dispute status. Hence I changed my rating from 1 to 4 at this point.

I purchased account via PlayerAuction about 8 month ago. After 8 month, seller re-claimed account somehow, and so I contacted PlayerAuction for dispute process, as I purchased insurance from PlayerAuction to prevent situations like this.
As always - the scammer won - insurance I purchased from PlayerAuction didn't help at all. I should have looked at the review before I made a purchase for Neverwinter account... Obviously this scammer keeps selling account again and again after reclaiming it. I provided screenshot as an evidence, but it didn't help. Like other buyer already mentioned, DO NOT BUY INSURANCE IT DOESN'T HELP. It's useless.
