This company is UNBELIEVABLY INCOMPETENT! We had a shipment in Bloomington, CA. Pitney Bowes took it right THROUGH COLORADO (where it was to be delivered) and took it all the way to the other side of the country to Greenville INDIANA! We called them and were told that the merchant is the ONLY person that can be given info on a shipment? We CORRECTLY told her that the package is
OUR Property (bought and pad for) and the snooty woman told us that "IS NOT MY PROBLEM"...?
This company knows nothing about shipping and even less about Customer Service. USELESS!

Lost packages
February 19, 2022

This is now the 3rd package in 3 months that Pitney Bowes has lost. Their customer service doesn't seem to care. Greenwood Indiana is a bottomless pit, full of lost packages.

We have been their customers for 7 years. Since we were offered free upgrade we had non stop issues with them. I strongly recommend everyone not to use them.

Thieves!
July 8, 2019

I don't write reviews normally anymore; this just got me really pissed off. I've been buying and selling online for around 11 years and this company is making up that there is customs fees with items coming into America; I'd know there isn't with all my experience, just fees for the buyer once an item arrives at its destination outside of America. PayPal is politicizing it like Pitney Bowes is too; be aware that Pitney Bowes is located out of liberal Austin tx. They have Satanic policies revolving around stealing. My mother bought me this terminator bust because I was having a hard time around that time and it was supposed to make me feel better about my crap landlord. Instead, it has stressed me out as they have stolen approximately 23 dollars from her, and I have to hear it from her because of them. My mother is a single mother of 3; this is heartless. I just bought some interior reupholstery stuff for my car out of the uk and there were no customs fees; you can't make this stuff up. Pitney Bowes is making up policies that defy federal laws which is a huge offense. PayPal is helping them be enforced too by assisting in collecting illegal payments that were not previously agreed upon. I have been charged twice for shipping between the initial payment of 66 gbp and the additional 23 or so dollars stolen; it's in writing that I've been charged twice for shipping and PayPal won't help me. The process in which my item came was also very disorganized, confusing, and slow. While all of this was going on, PayPal is telling me while I'm on hold that I'm protected from unauthorized payments... what a joke.

This company is an absolute total scam! They ship packages from place to place, ALLL OVER THE US, PAST PLACES OF DESTINATION, working with other scammers to lengthen the time it takes to get a package in order to charge customers EXTRA fees in order to gain a buck! For instance, our package was supposed to be delivered in Pittsburgh. It came from NJ, passed our city, went to OHIO, and we waited extra time for it to arrive. I am completely dissatisfied and advise AGAINST using this company OR purchasing ANYTHING from SPOILED CHILD hair products. NOTHING BUT SCAMMERS!

It appears all of their so-called service team is based in the Philippines. I am retiring from a small business so I am trying to return the equipment but no one seems to know what to do. First we sent in a check to pay off the lease. The check cleared the bank within a matter of days. Then we called to get the label to mail back the equipment and they said they did not have the check. Then they said it was "floating". Then it got applied to the wrong account.
Next I tried to get a refund of about $250 that I had already paid PB. Filled out the online form. Got confirmation for submitting.the form. Two days later I get an e-mail saying there is no balance. Contacted customer care in the Philippines. They referred me to technical support who said they can't help and sent me back to customer service. Customer service sent me back to tech support. Still waiting on a return phone call after being on hold 45+ minutes.
Still haven't received the label to return the equipment
Any company thinking of doing business with Pitney Bowes really needs to reconsider.

Should have known when it took 4 calls to get someone to speak to me to get signed up. It went down hill from there. One sales person reached out then never followed up. The next one followed up signed us up, then forgot about us. I had to track them down to get the actual equipment. Never received the full paperwork. The Install tech was actually fabulous. The equipment has been horrible. We immediately discovered was not a good fit, reached out to the sales person and was told oh it's perfect for you it just needs a software update. Queue a year and a half later, multiple times a day of software updates, zero scale issues, paper jam issues, and non existent help and numerous tears we're stuck with the devil machine. Just spent over an hour speaking to 4 representatives hoping to downgrade to reduce the amount of errors we fought through only to find out they want to charge more. We've been trying since day 2 of receive the machine. They waited until the last moment to inform us that it'd be more. I have never been more disappointed or frustrated with a company. My coworker handled multiple billing and service issues in the time I failed to rectify 1 phone call with Pitney Bowes. We are paying for stamps at the post office to have a pricey scale sit in our office rather than fight with the thing. I'd recommend any other solution. They used to be a great company I don't know what happened but this has been the worst I've ever dealt with.

I dont know why, I dont know how. How the hell do you mix up a WHOLE STATE. I live in CA and the package is all the way in TX and says it's delivered. Im pretty sure there isnt a town with rhe exact same name, and the exact same apartment complex, and the exact same apartment number. Yeah thats bull$hit right there. When I tried calling for customer service THREE TIMES THROUGHOUT THE DAY there was NOBODY to even take mt call. Never again, pitney bowes sucks, I hate it no wonder why the reviews are so low

We have been a PB business customer for over 30 years.

Culture starts with top leadership. PB needs an overhaul with leaders that are people focused. In time, this company will receive added business bumps downwards due to the lack of the core fundamentals.

One of their major blunders is the off shore customer service. There is no excuse for customers having to deal with dialect and/or comprehension issues with off shore CSR's.

Another more recent matter is the push for proof of insurance. We have been working with their off shore team and are still not completed with this STUPID management decision. Most small and mid size businesses have insurance deductibles that will be in play if and when there is a loss of PB equipment.

We recently spoke with the off shore team and they noted that we can opt out of the insurance. We said yes. A few days later, we get an email asking for proof of insurance. Our broker said what a waste of time which means we the customers are paying for all of the back and forth BS. Even the offshore folks get paid.

The insurance broker asked for the official name and address of the company which needed to be placed on the insurance certificate. Of course, that information is nowhere to be seen on the PB insurance request.

Where is the common sense at PB? Who is driving this beast of a company? Hopefully PB will drop the insurance requirement and get back to doing good, customer based business.

I avoided international sales because of the headache of customs forms and shipping costs...
When ebay started handling all the red tape, it seemed awesome. Until I found out that I was unable to opt out.
Ebay uses pitney bowes, which I knew nothing about. I'd soon learn.
My 3rd international sale, using ebay system, has been a nightmare.
The package made it to Alberta Canada where it was "mis-sorted" on September 27.
It is now October 12, and there have been no further updates.
PB will not take inquiries or complaints, instead directing you to ebay.
Ebay is not trying to locate the package or question its whereabouts, instead they tell me that i won't have to refund the buyer, they will.
Great, but the buyer doesn't want a refund. He wants his package, as it was a one of a kind gift for his daughter.
No one seems to be concerned with what happened to this medium sized box...I mean, it didn't fall behind a chair.
I'd rather close my ebay acct than ever ship with an international carrier again, since customer service is nonexistent and theft is common

These idiots constantly lose packages, they constantly deliver far too late, and they constantly delay over and over. They love to set the furthest possible delivery date, and if the package gets to your city long before that date? Sucks to be you, because they will let that package sit there for weeks instead of simply delivering it to your door. Even if the package is in your city, at a post office down the street from your house, they will hold it until the far off delivery date they've estimated, AND STILL DELIVER IT LATE, OR SOMEHOW LOSE IT. I have no $#*!ing idea how to avoid having my packages delivered with these $#*!s, and the fact that more and more of my packages are being delivered with them genuinely makes me hope for the downfall of this company.

Lost multiple packages
September 28, 2021

The shipping for my orders was going fine UNTIL the packages arrived at the facility of Pitney Bowes in Bloomington, CA *******. Not just once, but twice. My opinion is Pitney Bowes is an incompetent business and unreliable company to be responsible for people's packages. Pitney Bowes should be put OUT OF BUSINESS.

October and no package

I had used Stamps.com for years, but their software is not compatible with a new printer that I bought. So, I decided to go to Pitney Bowes. I signed up for the trial on a Saturday. Within one hour of signing up, my credit card was charged the $1.00 (provisional charge). I was supposed to get an email allowing me to finish setting up my account. Nothing happened until Monday at almost 12:00noon.
At that time, I received a cryptic email that said: "unable to confirm some details about your credit card, order has been cancelled".
I called the support number and the agent said that she would have to send an email to that department to further research the problem. I asked if I could speak with someone directly in that department. My experience over the years has been when you are sending emails back and forth through 3rd parties, there is MUCH room for misinformation, lack of details, etc. She said that "unfortunately, there is no direct number to call them." I responded with, "In that case, I will take my business elsewhere... this is no way to conduct business."
VERY DISAPPOINTED!

I have a contract with Pitney Bowes, a 36-month term signed in 2017. I also signed to add services to my contract in 2019. Pitney Bowes, although the contract for 2019 says nothing about term, claims that it runs from 2020 to 2021. When I ask them to show me a contract with an ending date of 2021, they cannot do so, and keep sending me the 2017 contract saying it is common for a contract to begin a year after signing. They offered a "settlement" to me to pay almost $800 and they would "let me out" of my non-existent contract. When I said show me a contract that ends in 2021, I will honor it, otherwise, cancel my contract effective May of 2020 as the 2017 contract ending date states. They now sent me an email stating I have said I will breach the contract and therefore I am in breach and owe them money for the rest of the contract and must return their meter. I have never missed a payment with them, yet they claim I am in breach? This is a horrible company; run, do not walk from them as they have zero customer service and are thieves with their claims of contracts which do not exist.
