Web Inventories Still Lying!

When I placed my order five weeks ago all parts were in stock and shipment would be due in five days. After three weeks (and no notification from Partzilla) nothing had shipped and one of five parts was stocked out, but scheduled to deliver by July 6.

I told Partzilla to ship 4/5 parts now and I'd get the last one on July 6. (They should have done that, but they didn't.) I got 4/5 parts.

Two days after my last part was due to arrive, Partzilla emails me that the part is not permanently stocked out with no ETA for reorder.

Just for giggles, I looked up the availability on the Partzilla Web here:
https://www.partzilla.com/product/honda/*******-K26-306 and put in my zip code! LIARS! Web page says part ships in 1-2 days...

So if you're SHOPPING, they LIE. Your part ships in 1-2 days.
If you've ordered, the same part is BACKORDERED with NO KNOWN ETA.

That's intentional lying. Sorry cheap unethical slimy dishonest time wasting ducci bags.

They make mistakes, apologize, DON'T CHANGE ANY BEHAVIOR and keep on screwing "customers".

I'm done. I'll pay a competitor MORE to be rid of these online vermin retailers.

I've got some answers for you, but first let me acknowledge that the experience you had sounds very frustrating. I'm really sorry about that. It is not our intention to make buying or receiving parts from Partzilla frustrating. We want you to get what you ordered fast and at the lowest price possible. Here's what happened with the part that has no availability or ETA for delivery. We sell over 1 million OEM parts on Partzilla.com. We do have over 100,000 OEM parts in stock ready to ship, but we do not have all 1 million parts in stock in our warehouse. When a part is in stock, the part page will say IN STOCK and include the exact number that are in stock -- like this: https://www.partzilla.com/product/kawasaki/670B1507?ref=4e6bee300786f8871946b9fe9e19764a3cfb218b. For example, as of the day of this response, per the link above, Kawaski part number 670B1507 shows 10 IN STOCK on Partzilla.com. When you land on a part page that says Ships in 1-2 Days or Ships in 3-4 Days, that means that when you place your order we will order that part from the manufacturer on your behalf and we estimate it will take 1-2 days or 3-4 days for us to get that part from the OEM. Then, once we receive the part, we will ship the part and your estimated shipping time from us to you begins (shipping time varies depending on your location and which shipping speed you select). So "Ships in 1-2 days" means "we have to order this and it will take us 1-2 days to get this part, and then we will ship it to you."

The "Ships in 1-2 days" or "Ships in 3-4 days" estimate is provided assuming the manufacturer has availability of the part in the US. Unfortunately, none of the OEM manufacturers have a real-time live feed that allows us to know the stock status of all 1 million-plus parts we carry on our website. The arrival/availability detail we provide in our order status emails is based on feedback that we get from the manufacturer based on that specific part's status -- and we can only have those details AFTER we have ordered that part on your behalf.

Every website that sells OEM parts operates from the same OEM database and uses the same "IN STOCK" Or "Ships in..." estimation language. And any time you see that "Ships in 1-2" days language on any OEM retailer's website, that number is an estimation of time based on an assumption that the manufacturer has the part in stock (which, usually they do).

Here's examples from three other primary OEM parts retailers:

Because of the nature of the OEM parts business, our estimations are correct 97% of the time, but unfortunately, because we cannot get a live-feed of availability from each manufacturer and we cannot stock every single part for every single make/model/year combination, 3% of the time we end up with a situation like yours where we assumed the part would be in stock and available in 2 days, but instead the part ends up backordered by the manufacturer without an ETA. It's frustrating for us, too.

We really are a genuine retailer, and we truly do want you to get your parts as soon as humanly possible -- and I really am sorry about this situation. Ordering a part and feeling mislead about when it will arrive is not a good feeling.

We are working internally to improve our communication so that customers more transparently understand what parts we have IN STOCK vs what parts need to be ordered from the manufacturer before they can be shipped. Thank you for speaking up to help us identify a whole in our communication so that we can come together to make a better website experience for future patrons.

I needed a list of OEM Honda parts. Time mattered. Partzilla and two other competitors came up with almost identical pricing. I went with Partzilla over geographic proximity and they indicated all parts were on hand. I paid for expedited shipping.

A week later, no delivered parts, no word from Partzilla. Order hasn't been picked or manifested. Seven of eight items are ready to go, one item is on back order for another six weeks. Despite paying for expedited shipping. They don't ship the 7/8 parts on hand, they don't send delay of shipment notice, they don't send back order notice to the customer.

Fail, fail, fail. This one's not worth another try. There are too many other competitors willing to do business right, or even go the extra mile. Partzilla won't even get out of bed to go to work. Other businesses will get my money in the future.

Horrendous Company

I paid for expedited shipping and item was shipped on July 1 and its not due to arrived until the earliest July 10. Scam artists. Never buy from them.

In general, depending on stock availability parts may take 1-2 days to pick, then our Expedited Shipping services allows for 1-3 days for shipping/delivery depending on where you're located in the USA. This 1-3 day estimate does not include weekends or holidays. Unfortunately, orders placed around the July 4 holiday will have an extra 1 day delay. BUYER BEWARE

I understand parts delayed, email said two days, another email said three weeks. BEWARE* none of the Customer service numbers are in service, Paypal listed a company no. Not in service. LIVE CHAT is not any better, responded are every 4-6 minutes in between, operator stated there was "NO" cancellation number provided and to look for an email which I hope "He" is not writing. I have logged and took photographic evidence of this Bad experience just in case I have to escalate it with Paypal, Bank, BBB. NOT HAPPY to say the least.!

Unexpected charges
June 18, 2018

Placed few orders while aware about the shipping fees. The parts took more than published to arrive and the worst surprise was the post officer asking me extra money for the foreign customs fees absolutely not mentioned at the moment of the ordering. At the end I paid these parts more than I would have in a normal Honda shop

Do not order from this company (partzilla).
Waited 1 month for my stuff coming from us to canada. Phoned customers service over 12 times to give me tracking number but they never assist you with any issue. Finally sent me tracking number after my package already returned back because they wrote wrong address on the package. After few days i phoned to talk to the supervisor and he told me that i need to wait again till they receive it and they will send it back!

I order few oil seals from them, because eBay havent in stock til last week so I decided to order from partzilla. Let me tell you that was a big MISTAKE! Two weeks later and I still waiting and waiting. And I order from EBay and guess whos come first. Yep the one from eBay all way from California. I will never order something from Partzilla

Ordered June 1st, Receiving shipment on June 12th. Customer service agent lies about dates.

Charges $7.95 shpping for small parts, and ships via ups sure post, where ups delivers to usps and they deliver it to you (another day or two delay). For this much shipping charge, they can easily ship via usps priority mail.

Parts listed as "In Stock-Ships in 24 hours" take 3 days to ship. Parts listed as "Ships in 1-3 Days" take 2 weeks - every time, regardless of what shipping method you choose. They do have more parts in stock than your local dealer but do not expect to get your order in the quoted time. This is based on 3 separate orders that I have placed, all with the same frustrating outcome.

When you service 100 people and 1 has a negative experience he wants to tell the world, the other 99 just go about their lives. I'm sure the others with complaints are sincere, but their experiences were completely opposite of my experience. I ordered a complete seat assembly for a 2014 Honda CB1100. The order was placed late on a Thursday night (standard Free shipping) and the seat arrived the following Thursday: 7&1/2 days later. Details of Order:
1) List price: $391.75 Partzilla price: $269.33 Savings: $122.42
2) Totally FREE shipping and the item was "double boxed" for protection
3) No sales tax or any other fees.
I would gladly order from Partzilla again and would recommend them to others.

Ordered two bolts for my bike -- their website makes you pay extra for 2-day shipping. Has been 8 days now and no parts. UPS tracking was saying I was supposed to receive parts today (8th day), and now UPS tracking is saying: "As requested by the sender, UPS has transferred this shipment to the local post office for delivery to the final destination." -- estimated delivery in now on the 11th day.

I should've just gone to the dealership and got the part I need.

Needed a key blank for my new to me 35 year old Honda motorcycle. I choose them because their website allowed you to put in vehicle info/VIN and it would show you what fit. It returned two part numbers with nearly identical descriptions so I figured they just must be different style keys so I picked the first. When I received the key blank it was a mirror image of what I needed, groves on wrong side. I emailed them and asked for assistance. After several not very helpful emails back and forth of them saying, yup, that key is one of two we show fitting your bike, they finally identified that the other key (the one I didn't choose) was the one I needed. I asked if I could return and swap out my unopened key for the right one. They said no, you must return the key you have with a 15% restocking fee and then you can order the right one. Their policy states that there is no restocking fee if the website was in error about fitment so I asked them if that is so, why are you charging me a fee. Their response: "Because our website offered you at least one item that fits, it's not our fault you selected the wrongly offered part over the correct one, you should have called sales tech support before you ordered". Told them forget it, I will just throw the key away and buy one elsewhere, thanks.

I called in on Friday to order a part for overnight. Customer service associate said, "sure, that overnight will be $35." I paid and then arranged for my mechanic and shop time. Come to find out, no, the shipment will not arrive overnight, I had to be a shipping expert and know that Saturday shipment is a completely different thing and the associate did not bother to tell me that. I called back on Saturday to explain the situation, ask for a refund for my overnight charge that was not actually overnight-- and asked how requesting "overnight" means 3 days later-- they said I can go suck it basically. Partzilla are crumby dishonest jerks.

Disapointed

I ordered a "gear" for my Great-grandson's dirt bike. Website says it was in stock... paid for it... however 3 charges were taken out of my bank account. I called customer service the next morning... they reversed 2 of the charges. Order was supposed to be "available for shipping 0n 4/4/... I contacted customer service on 4/6, because it had not shipped... I was informed "their dist. Put a "no date available for shipping" was entered into their system and I would be "getting an e-mail letting me know when it would be available to ship". Well, NOBODY had notified me that the part was "backordered"... I called today, asking for an update... still no "availability date available". I cancelled the order... she said nothing about charging for cancelling. I wish I had read more "reviews" for this company. Very sad, having to tell my Great-grandson this story, because of a company that does not have the forthcoming to say "out of stock" if it was out of stock... or "backordered" and let you have the choice of whether you wanted to wait an indefinite time for delivery. The first customer service lady I talked to about the triple charge... was very nice... I had refund in 2 business days.
The customer service lady I talked to today was very nice. The 2nd lady in customer service I talked to on the phone, was very "rude"... she needs to remember "customers are her paycheck"..

They don't have parts in stock when they say they do. So shipping is always delayed. When they do ship a part is likely to be left out. If they say they have a part and don't really have it, they hold your whole order until they get it or you have to pay shipping for both. They're a bit cheaper but don't use them!

I live in Perth, Western Australia. Check that out for delivery distance. Partzilla has never failed to send an item and always keeps me informed when they have to chase a part down... jeez some of my orders are for 50 year old bikes and i can still get bits n bobs. Most the time they are cheaper than the second hand junk found on another very big global sales provider. Be patient and it will arrive.

Shipping deception

They claim 1-3 days shipping as I paid expedited shipping and its been a week and they say i should get it in 4 more days. They know people will choose them over the others because the adverted shipping speed. I fell for it. I will not shop with them again. I picked them over the dealership because of speed not cost.
