I ordered the part the next day i was emailed that the part was on back order until june 9th so i bought the part from a marina and asked for a refund then my part was delivered a day latter i am not happy with your service.
Like the site. Easy to find what you need. Fair pricing. Will return for future purchases. The only issue I had was that I ordered the 20hr service kit and think I received the 100hr kit instead?! I don't think Yamaha requires the moisture separator to be changed at the 20hr mark?! The only thing not in the kit I received was an impeller and lower unit seals which it's not time for?
The oil filter box wasn't packed properly. The oil filter was loose in the packing box and the oil filter box was crushed between the gallon jug of oil and the bottle of gear oil. The oil filter is still usable. A little packing material around the oil filter box (which is from Mercury and is flimsy), should be wrapped around this item when shipped with other heavy/bulky items.
The order I placed contained Yamalube Oil and Yamalube outboard lower end unit lubricant. The box that was shipped had absorbed a significant amount of oil and USPS had placed the box in a large plastic bag with a statement that the contents may have been damaged.
When I opened the oily cardboard box, I found no evidence of a leaking from the containers in my box. I am guessing another shipment of oil leaked onto my box sometime during packing or shipping.
I clicked on "Add to Cart" while the picture showed the 25W40 oil included. I was sent 10W30 and was told that I should have also clicked to choose the 25W40 from the drop down menu.
Might want to be more clear with instructions on the website. I had to buy the proper 25W40 and am now stuck with the 10W30.

The photograph of the kit does show 10w30 as well. I am sure it was unintentional and accidental however we must adhere to our policies and procedures. Since a kit was purchased, a kit must be returned as we are unable to perform a refund on pieces within a kit. Our agent did advise that you could simply purchase the correct kit, and what we would do is just ship the oil. Once the oil you purchased incorrectly was returned we would be able to refund the first order in full as the dry parts would still be here. We do apologize for any inconvenience or confusion. Everything went well except the the sipping cost was $25 higher than what I paid at purchase. He post office said it was not calculated right by PartsVu. I paid the extra $25 because I had an appt with a mechanic to get serviced. I sent PartsVu a note, receipt and note from the Post Office. PartsVu refunded the $25, so I am pleased with my experience
Lousy updates and tracking info, 12 days passed with no delivery info from "Parts Vu" I contacted customer support to check on or cancel the order with no luck... I could have, should have bought a prop locally, I would have had it the same day not 2-1/2 weeks later. Wasted two weeks of good weather on the water...Please UNSUBSCRIBE me from any further Parts VU notifications...
The purchased date claimed above is incorrect and is NOT February 23,2022.
The correct purchase date for my order# *******438 was September 17,2021.
I waited 6 months for my order.

I totally understand how parts can be backorderd, nothing much can be done about that.
My issue was the "Purchase Date" on the review form which stated February 23,2022.
That was incorrect. The original purchase date was September 17,2021.
I received the my order on March 2,2022.
Between Feb 23,2022 and March 2,2022 is only 4 business days.
Between September 17,2022 and March 2,2022 is 93 business days.
The review form only recognized the 4 days and not the 93.
That was the issue. Not the part being back orderd

I see that you placed your order on August 19th at 5:55pm (afterhours). An email was sent to you the following morning advising that the part was on backorder with an eta of 09/17/2022. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do in regards to backorders. Currently, the entire nation is struggling with crippling supply chain issues. We are no exception to the matter. When items are back-ordered all we can do is send a backorder email.
The backorder email is given for 2 reasons. 1, to let the customer know of the estimated time of arrival. 2nd, to give the customer the opportunity to cancel should they not want to wait. In this case, you decided to leave your order open. You did receive quite a few push-back emails advising you of the pushback by Yamaha and also containing a new eta. Since you did not cancel the order the only thing we could do was to monitor your order and advise on the estimated dates given to us by Yamaha. At the end of February, your items did finally arrive to our warehouse. They were shipped to you and tracking shows they were delivered on March 2nd. We do again apologize for the inconvenience and delays. Thank you for your review.

A different note. This item was on backorder
And not in stock as noted on website. So I canceled the order. Not sure why they sent it anyway but they also didn't refund my $$. I have not installed it yet as I realize that wasn't my problem

When I ordered the part from your website it showed that it was in stock. After 3 days I checked on the shipment and it was not in stock. I ordered from your site because I was on a timeline for a service job. It came after 7-10day and it delayed my customers repair.
I requested that the in stock parts be sent right away and the back ordered parts be cancelled. The in stock parts arrived in 3 days and Partsvu sent the back ordered parts in 10 days. That allowed me to service 2 boats and get them winterized in much warmer temperatures.
I've ordered from partsvu several times and been happy with products. Delivery can be slow sometimes. My last order was unsatisfactory. Not listed in the website as backordered, two filters were not available right away. They are holding the order for another week before shipping because they want me to pay additional shipping fees for a second order? Often times we place an order to be drop shipped from the vendor to get it to you in the quickest timeframe. While placing the order we view the availability. This item was said to be on national backorder. Much to our grand surprise the vendor had 1 left available and shipped it hours after the email had gone out. Once an order ships email is sent out to the customer automatically with a tracking number. I am so very sorry if that was missed. When you called the following Monday to cancel the item was already out for delivery and could not be canceled.
