Have had to talk to customer service twice about being refunded the $16 the randomly charged me over 2 months after I had purchased one costume from them. They tried to say I signed up for a subscription but I know I didn't, and why the hell would I? I never planned on buying anything else from this site and I didn't get anything from them to warrant a subscription. Plus the charge came almost a full two months later, they didn't charge me for any "subscription" the previous month. I'd be very wary of this site. I got my costume but also paid a arm and a leg for shipping, $40. If you do purchase, I'd make sure any card you used was removed immediately after you purchase.
They also try to use "business days" as a way to act like 2-3 days is somehow longer than a normal day? They had told me 2-3 days for a refund, so when 3 days later (today) I still haven't received it, I called and was told now it's 3-5 business days. It hasn't been the weekend so I'm not sure why she even empathized business days twice. As of now I still haven't received a refund, so we'll see if that even happens.
My order was delivered surprisingly fast! Everything I ordered was just as promised and very high quality! I will definitely order again!
BEWARE OF BAIT AND SWITCH! I placed an order and Oriental trading company changed my total after the order was complete. They increased the total after i had checked out, days after it was placed. Terrible business practice!
Purchased the 10$ oversized soccar ball for my 5 year old son for Easter and after inflating it on the night before it was not only egg shaped, IT WAS DEFLATED 30 MINUTES LATER! Order arrived before date specified but I'm out of a replacement present as Easter is tmrw. No time for replacement present.
Ordered a bag of candy thinking - this is a bulk re seller - NOT paid $17.99 for a bag of candy you can get at Walgreens for $4... of course you can not return anything that is edible of course
Ordered fr them for a Christmas party and decided to pay for expedited shipping for 12/12.12/12 came, nothing was delivered.
Checked tracking and showed 12/13. Then tracking showed out for delivery at 1009am on 12/13. By 8pm, 12/13, nothing. Called n Oriental trading Customer Svc basically tells u, "thank u for yr money but ultimately, it's not their problem, they are not the carrier for delivery". You paid for expedited shipping? That means nothing, it's on their site as a joke! Customer disappointed or upset? Oh, d mighty Oriental Trading Customer Svc will refund you the shipping cost or they will issue a $25 store certificate?!?!
First, save the $25 crap, never buying from them again. Then suggested I go call UPS?
Fine, called them. UPS said Xmas Season, drivers work late, stay up till midnight and wait pls n call back again if nothing is delivered. Of course, nothing was delivered and tracking miraculously changed from "out for delivery" on 12/13, to "in transit" on 12/13, to now, "Monday, end of day 12/16, cos UPS San Jose Hub opens 5 days a week?!
This is a nightmare. Unless you don't care much about whatever you are purchasing from them, else, NEVER trust them as a supplier for parties or important events.
Even when Oriental Trading doesn't deliver even if you pay for expedited shipping, no worries, they have a just as inefficient carrier who doubles down, and ensures whatever you have planned is a failure!
Super site, I am able to get what I need at great prices....shipping is fast too and email communication on tracking is wonderful....I love all the great stuff this site has to offer....
Fraud based company reels you in with discount and secretly signs you up for a membership program that you wouldn't even get any benefits from if you wanted it, then says the fact they are so discreet about signing you up, they'll blame you for not paying close enough attention even when I STILL can't find in the checkout process where you are supposed to be able to decline, and they will refund you in multiple payments over the course of a long time. Read the BBB complaints and run as fast as you can from these POS's.
My daughters birthday is 2 weeks away and I couldn't find any local stores carrying carnival decorations, so I called oriental trading and they said if I paid the most expensive shipping (65$) it would definitely be here within the week, so I placed my order and went to bed. In the AM I received an email saying there were shipping restrictions so they cancelled my order and didn't charge me. I called to ask what they couldn't ship so I could order the rest, during the conversation the lady tells me "it doesn't matter which shipping I choose and pay for, it'll take the same amount of time (2 weeks)" so why did I pay $65 for "express"?
I say not to worry about reordering and decide to find somewhere else, later on that day $200 leaves my bank account, so I call and ask them to return it since they cancelled the order and told me they wouldn't charge me. They tell me it'll be back in my account in 3-5 days.
What a joke, I now don't even have the money in my account to buy local decorations. I'm beyond upset, this is hands down the worst company I've ever dealt with and I will never order from them again. Save yourself the hassle and find a better website that won't screw you over for your events.
I placed an order in the 4th and the delivery said arrival by the 12th. I kept checking the site to see if items had shipped and nothing. Finally five days later, I call customer service and they tell me that the items haven't shipped yet but that the delivery date says the 12th. I told the lady I did not want to chance it arriving late. She told me I can overnight it for 32.99. That was at 10 am in the morning. I get a message a 10:30 from customer service saying they need additional payment info bc PayPal doesn't allow for changes. I call them back at 1; 00 and give them the payment info. They tell me that my package won't ship until the next day and so will arrive in two days. I told them that it was poor customer service on their part to charge overnight which can be picked up by 3 and it really is two days -- she told me they need to process it. I told her they have been processing it since five days ago so that's would not be the issue. She told me she would do her best to find the package and try to ship it out overnight. Ten minutes later I get an email from the customer service director telling me that it is possible the package won't arrive for two days. Poor business practice and the last time I order from them -- been a loyal customer for years and will now stick to Rhode Island novelty.
YES! Because I did not read the very small print, and because I got free shipping... I was automatically enrolled in a program that did even closely resemble the name of the company! I was charged $14.99 for a program called fun rewards! It took a bit of sleuthing to trace it back to the oriental trading company! I had them remove the charge, but the way they did it was insidious, they waited a few weeks after the delivery of the item, they did not contact me alerting me to the charge that was from the company. AND THE NAME OF THE CHARGE ON MY CREDIT CARD WAS NOT oriental trading company, get it? They hope you will not notice the charge. I got the impression that they were expecting my call because they get this call all the time. The lady did not argue NOR did she ask any questions about the fun rewards program, she simply processed my refund after I asked for it.
So i bought the 6 foot mando poster for a co worker that was leaving.
#1 it was NOT 6 feet! It was more like 5feet 10 inches and HELL YES, if you sell it as 6 feet, I want my fricking 6 feet!
But folks thats not the worst from these jerks, today I see a 14.95 charge from a company called fun rewards program!. Guess who that is... right its oriental trading company and if you buy anything from them ( it wont be as problem for me again) they automatically sign you up for the fun rewards program! Its $14.95 and they use the credit cad YOU used to buy from them. No warning... no email... just 1 month after you place an orde... BOOM. You have signed up for the fun rewards program. And the lady had the nerve to make me give all my info before she would cancel and refund my money. I could tell she gets these calls ALL THE TIME.
Have only ordered a few times, but for inexpensive party items I am totally happy. I do try to order early as it does seem to take a few weeks to get your items.
Only "after" you receive the "Not as Described" & "Not as Pictured" Gummy Mermaids & want to either Return them or Throw them away, do you find out, after calling their Customer Dis-service number, that "buried" 4 levels Down, on their Website, difficult to Find, & in Tiny print, that there are "NO CANDY REFUNDS"! NOT on their page where you "ordered" the candy from, NOT on their page with Product Details, NOT on their page with Questions & Answers & NOT on their page with Reviews, because there are None! IF this company wants to be as HONEST as they "PRETEND" to be then, they would put their "NO CANDY REFUNDS" policy on the SAME page as Everything else! I WOULD NOT FEED THIS GARBAGE TO MY DOGS!

I paid extra for two-day delivery, which would have been today. Now I have been notified that delivery will take at least 4 days, so I will be receiving it too late.
Great prices! Quality is skimpy sometimes but a great place to go to when you have a limited budget. Love their clearances and their customer service is exceptional.
I Bought The 10LB Mega Shell Assortment to use in craft projects thinking buy their picture of Colorful shells, that would be what I received. NOT THE CASE, Over 5lbs of the shells were solid white, about so shells were broken, I returned them & they told me it would take TWO weeks to issue me a refund! They are a SORRY Company.
Will only ship to address of credit card, tried to ship to US address to save on shipping, they will not do it! It will cost be $45 extra plus exchange for a $50 order. NEVER order from them!
