I ordered my BlueForce sling over five weeks ago, and OP took the money out of my account, no sling! I called them, their phone service hung up on me! My next step is to go to Bank Of America and report them!

Here is how Optics Planet works.
In their old days they never would tell in stock till you ordered it!
Then they email you not in stock! And you would wait forever.
Now their new trick is to be so SLOW with your order that you look elsewhere and cancel.
BUT WAIT! When you cancel it takes days and they now HURRY to ship your order because you want to cancel.
Then they charge you to return if you want a refund (which you should get because you cancelled 3 days ago) but only store credit.
So do not order from this Midway wantabe and order else where.
I work for a Government agency and tried to order in stock goods from OpticsPlanet Gov procurement entity USIQ. No one answers phones, no one responds to emails. I sat on hold for over 45 minutes with OpticsPlanet trying to resolve with no luck. I sent multiple emails over a 2 week period with zero response.
I've had several experience with optics planet that were ok. Then I've had several that were an absolute nightmare. Fake in-stock items that immediately go on backorder INDEFINITELY. They give you a ship date and then when it comes up, the backorder date just changes with no explanation. Bait and switch to get your money. Also recently had them say an item was shipped and then CANCEL it, proving again, that they lie. In-stock? No it's not. Shipped? No it's not. Don't buy from them if you can avoid it, don't let them drag you around with the 6 month backorders.
I placed an order for several items but one of the items wasn't in stock and was estimated at 7-14 days. After 14 days and still waiting I called to see what the deal was, They told me it was going to be ANOTHER 3-4 weeks. So basically I'll be getting my stuff about one and a half months after I placed my order. I've had similar issues ordering from them in the past but this is the worst and the last because I will not be ordering from Optics Planet anymore.
I placed two orders with optics planet. The first one was for a complete Aero upper. It took them a week to ship it out. Week later, 2 weeks after ordering I received it and it was a blemish model they didn't claim it was. I counted no less than a dozen blatant blemishes on it, from gouges to missing lettering to scrapes and finally, the dust cover was frozen jammed solid. It could not be moved. So I processed a return. Another week In transit, so we're at three weeks into this debacle. They received the package back THIRTEEN days ago, and STILL haven't issued my refund. I got a reply, FINally, to my emails, to update me that they'll probably oroces my refund in a few days. This company is COMPLETE GARBAGE.
MY 2nd order was for a grip+ buttstock. Instead of OD Green like I ordered. They sent me TEAL. SO here we go agai for another month long return process due to their complete incompetence.
Do yourself a favor and NEVER order anything from this trash company.
Ordered "IN STOCK AMMO" in November of 2021. After a month of waiting, I check on status to find out, ammo was back ordered. You will never get an update from OP or an explanation. Month after month I checked on my order. Month after month I was given a bogus ETA. 7 months after the date of the order I finally received an email that my ammo was in stock and ready to ship. I tried unsuccessfully for 2 weeks to contact OP, traded emails with them and updated method of payment. THEY CANCELLED MY ORDER! I waited 7 mo for ammo and they cancelled it. Absolutely worse customer service in the industry. Extremely disappointing! Shop elsewhere!
Optics planet does sometimes have some decent prices but that comes with a big caveat. I have yet been able to order anything that shows in stock on their website without getting a notification that the item is out of stock afterwards and will be delivered as soon as possible. This is usually followed by an apology and some timeframe. 1 week, 2 weeks, 18 days, and who really knows. They will eventually send you the item, but their inventory system has to be a total wreck. Most online retailers have had accurate inventory systems for the better part of a decade now. There is no reason to consistently sell items on your site that you knowingly (or should know) is not available to be shipped at the time of purchase. This borders on the line of being fraudulent. I know they apologize and say they will not charge until the item is shipped, but so far, every item I have purchased shows on my credit card statement as paid from the day I ordered it, which puts me just having to wait for the items. I think I would rather at this point spend 15 dollars more somewhere else and get my items shipped within 1-3 business days. Not a good way to do business.
I will never purchase from them again! Will definitely be there loss I spend on average 10 grand a year in outdoor and shooting items and just put it simple they lie to you about when your items will ship and what they truly have in stock! If I could give them a negative rating I would! DONT BUY FROM THEM!

OP shipped very late. The item was returned by my ship office. After two months, I have not seen a refund. I do not trust this company. They are very poorly managed.

Says "these are the boots instock" will ship in 2-5 days.

As I check out it tells me there will be a hold on my debit card but be assured you won't be charged until order ships!
Get email immediately item is out of stock and will not ship for 14-25 days and then I get another email stating "your order is complete but not instock and they have no shipping estimation and will notify me when it's instock"
Then I thankfully was able to cancel the order but then I went and they had already charged me on my bank account even though they state WILL NOT CHARGE UNTIL SHIP!

This company has horrible customer service. I ordered a part on 6/13/2022, I paid extra for expodited shipping, and it shipped the next day. Thats great! However shipping was a different story... It shipped out of the warehouse on 6/14 and tracking stopped on 6/17... I contatced USPS and they could not find it and updated tracking info on 6/20. I called OP customer service and they said that I had to wait 15 days after it was lost before they could send me another one. What what?!?! USPS said that they cant locate the package so why are we waiting 15 days after they cant locate it to ship me another one? I called USPS again today (7/5) and they said that they cant find it. So then I called OP customer serivce and they again say that I have to wait 15 days for them to ship me another part. Guess what today was 15 days and they still refused to issue me a refund or ship me another part. Horrible customer service! I will never buy another part from this company.
On 11/28/2017, I ordered a mil-spec buffer tube kit, armor's wrench and Magpul MOE rifle stock via their website. I received the armorer's wrench and rifle stock but was sent a message that the buffer tube kit was not available even though their website stated it was in stock. I emailed their customer service on 12/18/2017 and received a reply from Tiffany S. Stating that the product was on back order and they wouldn't be stock these until 01/10/2018. I called customer service today, 01/15/2018 and spoke to Shawn and he told me that they wouldn't get the buffer tube kits from Anderson until at least 01/20/2018. This is unacceptable. Needless to say, I cancelled my order for the buffer tube kit. This is the first and last time I will ever order from OpticsPlanet. I should have listened to the guys in my shooting club. They warned me not to order from them. Lesson learned, I guess.
I highly recommend against buying anything from Optic Planet. I have been a customer of theirs for several years. In the past I have received items that looked like they were used or had been returned by another customer when I was expecting new items. One time I received an item that was the wrong item in the right packaging. These experiences were frustrating, but I understand human error so I didn't get too upset. However recently I was working out of the country and saw an item that was low stock so I purchased it in advance of my return. They sent me an email asking me a bunch of questions regarding export compliance. I replied with my answers and they sent the same email again. I replied to that as well and then they cancelled my order without notice. Note that I own and operate an export business so I am fully aware of compliance rules and I answered all their questions accordingly.
Now that I'm back home the item is out of stock, so I cannot get what I need. On top of it all they then had the nerve to send me an email asking how satisfied I was with my recent order!. They clearly have ineffective internal communication which only adds to the frustrations. I am done with Optics Planet forever and I will recommend that none of my colleagues or customers ever shop there.
I bought a DPM recoil reduction system. I placed the order and IT showed shipping. The next day I looked and IT had my old address. PayPal used my old information. I admit my mess up. The issue is I emailed with no response then followed it up with a call to customer service. I was told since it e had shipped they couldn't do anything. I informed them it hadn't shipped and only had to label created. The person said he couldn't do anything for me. I had to call DHL and USPS to resolve it. I followed this up with another email. Finally, I got a response. They shipped it anyway.

So I go to order an attachment for a suppressor I have and the product is listed as in stock, I even pay a little extra to get it in time for a boys trip. Sure enough a few days goes by and I check on it and it says "expected to ship in 35 days", that's a joke right?
NOPE! Company likes to list items are in stock and ready to ship…that is until you pay for it. Then you'll get emails saying "once our supplier gets them, then we will get them, then we will send it out".
Soooo why do I need you? I'll just buy directly from the supplier and sure enough, I found out the supplier, bought it from them and already got a tracking number in my email within 24 hours.

Optics Planet has the worst customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. Their shipping program is horrible! I will never purchase from them again. Orders are not received as promised. They make excuses saying they cannot guarantee the shippers they use to deliver on time. Items do not even their warehouse for a week to ten days that are in stock. They charged me $31 for expedited delivery service (guaranteed 3 Days) then sent it USPS. It has been 6 days and the package is still being sent back and forth between the same USPS locations multiple times. $31 shipping for a $37 item that I needed quickly and they take no blame! I purchased an item from a competitor that was approximately the same size and weight that was delivered in 2 days by FedEx for $17. When I contacted them regarding my shipment I got an automated response making excuses for their lack of service and was told they would not refund my 3 Day Expedited delivery fees even though it has been 6 days and there is no delivery in sight! I suggest everyone to shop elsewhere!

2) 1 item (magnifier was all scratched and had missing parts)
3) they did not ship my order(for 4 days) until i called them and forced them to do so
4) their support wanted me to pay more to fix their delivery mess.

Have twice ordered items. Once bullets and once brass. Supposed to be in stock. Delivery date pushed back repeatedly. Just checked now saying January 2022 for brass. Don't bother
Answer: They ripped us off too. I'm going to file a BBB complaint and will mention I'm not the only one the took $$ from and never delivered my order and accused us of lying about it.
