Unlike many of you I have had plenty of contact with customer service but it is not helpful... I don't feel like telling the whole story but it has been a month, I've had 4 calls from UPS asking me if I'm willing to pay all the fees (I'm in Canada) and then they will bring it to my door way I have to pay even more than the very high shipping I already paid! Shipping was double what I paid to Fabric.com and they don't make you pay all the extra fees. This was my first time using OFS and it will definitely be my last! The customer service keeps calling me to tell me the exact same answer as each other and it's rote from a script, answering a question I asked yesterday morning... not the 4 questions I asked yesterday afternoon or today! Maybe not getting any reply would have been better. I never thought to look for reviews before ordering with a new company but have learned my lesson! I will hopefully get my shipment today and after paying a huge fee to the UPS guy to deliver it to me I will be able to open the box... after reading here I'm very afraid to open the box!

Crappiest customer service I don't think they are in America because they apparently don't understand anything even in clear simple English. Not to mention overpriced for a service hardly worth anything more than any other Chinese made fabric place. Other better quality online stores are cheaper, better quality, speak and understand English, and will deliver the correct fabric to you faster. This place should be called "Made in China" and "NOOOOOOOOOOOOObody cares" should be their slogan!

I placed an order for 4-6 yards of 3 different colors of Chiffon last Saturday. I wish I would've read recent reviews. I have ordered once before but I never received a tracking number, and it was 10 yards of fabric. It arrived during December when I wasn't at home.
Customer was nice the first time I contacted them, Tuesday, but they told me it was in back order and should be in this week. I said okay,
Friday I contacted them again, asking why it hadn't shipped yet. Letting them know it had almost been a week and I did need it by next Wednesday and I don't have the money for expedited shipping. Eventually I request to cancel my order, and she says it can still come in today. So I agree to way.
The fabric didn't get in stock and it is now exactly a week since I placed my order, and their customer service isn't open on the weekends.

I go and try to cancel my order there is no option to do this that I can see. So I'm stuck with them and we'll see how long it takes them to ship this fabric out. I will update this if it ever arrives, but it most definitely won't be on time.

While I like their stuff, EVERY TIME I've ordered from them, there's a subsequent shortage and I end up on backorder for months for my purchase. Wish I knew ahead of time that I wasn't going to have my outdoor tablecloth for summer (likewise my $100 of outdoor fabric for an awning). Annoying.

I ordered 5 different fabrics from them. They waited 2 weeks to send them out. Then, they left out my suite #. I have been calling ups all day to correct that and they keep saying that the sender has to do that. But, THEY ARE NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. MY PACKAGES ARE GOING BACK TO THEM BECAUSE I CAN'T GET AHOLD OF THEM. Also, I can't get my money back. Fraudulent operation

If there was an opposite of Amazon.com as far as ensuring customer satisfaction, OnlineFabricStore is the winner! What a disorganized and poorly run company. After 13 days of waiting for two yards of faux fur (for a tree skirt) to arrive I received an email that it was backordered and will arrive on Dec 29th. That doesn't work for me for obvious reasons. I emailed back letting them know this but no response for hours so tried to call, no answer, tried to chat and the bot generated a generic response that they'd get back to me via email if I left my email address. 24 hours later and no response so I called, on hold 15 min and finally got through to a human being who said they've been busy with cyber Monday (ok but it's Friday). She confirmed that the fabric won't arrive before the 29th - I asked if they could at least tell me the brand of fabric so I could try to find it online elsewhere but that was a no-go, I asked if they could at least offer SOME kind of discount on the order as an incentive to just keep the order vs. cancelling despite the fabric arriving too late for the holiday... waited another 5 min but of course, the answer was "no" there's "nothing they could do"... Not helpful at all and not that apologetic for the lousy experience/inconvenience. Then they wonder why Amazon is taking over the retail world. I'll gladly give my business to Amazon any day of the week than dysfunctionally run companies like this one.

I ordered two yards of fabric then found a more suitable fabric on their site. I ordered the second choice and immediately emailed them to cancel my first order. I waited for their response, checking daily. They sent an automatic response saying they would respond to my request to cancel. Waited, checked, waited, nothing.

Then both orders were sent. I called they said they had emailed me about canceling. Yes they did, with a return address that did not include their name - OnlineFabricStore.net or anything that would tell me the email was from them.

Every other email, 'Order Received', 'Thanks for Signing Up', 'Your Order has Shipped' had a clear return address of OnlineFabricStore.net. But the one email responding to my cancel order request had a return name of "Xor R." Had I known to look for "Xor R." I could have called them before it actually shipped and maybe stopped it.

They are happy to take the order and ship it a week later, plenty of time to cancel, but become very cryptic and non-responsive to a 'Cancel Order' that was sent literally 15 minutes after the order was placed.

That is not an accident. My total shipping costs will be more than the two yards of fabric. You can be absolutely sure they are 100% aware of that. This is a horrible business model. I will not support a company whose model borders on a scam, regardless of their product.

I had an order from a client - HGTV - my first ever with such a prominent customer. I ordered swatches from onlinefabricstore.net, and they came quickly. Picked out my fabric, placed my order, and paid extra (a lot extra) for 3-day shipping. 2 days later, I receive a call saying they didn't have enough in stock. (The day after it should have shipped?) So I'm like, okay. I pick a different fabric - WITHOUT seeing a swatch - order it, and request 2 day shipping at no cost. They say okay. Next day, I get an email that my order has partially shipped, and my ordered quantity was 0. Zero? So I call them again, sure enough, a mistake. Nothing has shipped. So they say they'll get on it, and have it to me next day, to keep on schedule with my original order. This morning I get a shipping notice letting me know my package has shipped, and will be here on Monday. It is over a weekend, so that's 2 extra days! HGTV is filming their show in 2 weeks, so I have less than that to finish the project and have it shipped across the country. If I can keep a deadline, so should my suppliers. NEVER WILL I ORDER FROM THIS SITE AGAIN. It's not worth it. Order from a different site - fabric.com, syfabrics.com, bigzifabric.com,... they're all great. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER onlinefabricstore.net

Ordered fabric November 26 2020
Contacted the Company On December 3rd to ask the progress of purchase when I noticed a refund of $119.00 and was told it would be shipped December 6th. Then there was no shipment no product no communication just SILENCE... I just figured the items were out of stock I took my refund and kept it moving. Imagine my surprise when I'm going through my account March 5th 2021 and notice a deduction of $116.00 for the online fabric store. WHAT! 3 mths later they decide to send me a product I no longer need or to an adress I no longer live at they didn't even provide a tracking number. Who does business like this I should have been contacted and notified items were back in stock, if I was still interested to place a new order. Instead they make an Unauthorized transaction to my account which I have reported has fraud to my bank because that is what it is a complete scam. Called to resolve only for them to hang up the phone and attack my Character shame on them for taking monies from people during a time like this.
I won't stop until I get what's rightfully mine I work hard for my money its the principle of the matter

I placed an order on 513/2020 and have emailed and called several times. Each time I receive an email that seems to be generic with no specific answers to my questions about my order status. I called and was told the fabric was back ordered. They could not give me a reason why they have not communicated that to me without me having to contact them. I had already contacted them about my orders status before that phone call. It is now over 2 months since I placed my order and the fabric. I understand the warehouse issue with COVID 19. My complaint is that you can have your team working emails and calls without being at risk. Customer service is the part of your business you have full control of. I am a business owner myself and know the challenges of COVID 19. This issue seems to be ongoing prior to COVID, based on the previous reviews.
I found them via a YouTube video on "how to". So, my project is awaiting and summer will be over before I get my fabric to replace on my patio furniture. If someone would have contacted me I may have selected a different fabric that was available. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Do NOT order from Onlinefabricstore.net I placed an order 12/6/16 and received an email confirmation immediately. A week had gone by... no email saying my order had shipped or that it had been backordered. I went to my order history and there was no notation that there was any problems with my order. I called this morning and customer service proceeded to tell me that the material was backordered and would not ship until 12/30/16. I told her to cancel the order and that it would have been nice to know that last week when the order was placed so I could make other arrangements. She replied "that's not my fault. My dept. isn't responsible for sending out backorder emails." HORRIBLE customer service. I didn't care who's fault it was I was just in panic mode of trying to find fabric when I had already lost a week. I emailed customer service explaining the story and the response was pretty much the same... not our fault. I have since been able to order my fabric from FABRIC.COM through amazon and it shipped within 2 hours. Of course since I lost a week due to poor customer service I had to pay for expedited shipping. I have never dealt with such poor customer service.

What a hassle.

My wife ordered $150 worth of fabric on February 28th, and by March 19th and we still didn't have it. They never told us it was out of stock before ordering, or notified us of any backorder afterwards. They never told us a thing. But the order was listed in order history when we logged into the site. No tracking number, no explanation. Due to the coronavirus my wife changed her travel plans and we no longer actually wanted this fabric. We tried to contact them twice by email... the second time they did respond saying the order is cancelled, but logging into the site now I see the order still there. Still no note or explanation, it still appears the same as a pending order. Their live chat is never online. Maybe I should be thankful our debit card was never charged yet, but I don't want this order hanging over my head forever, to suddenly be charged when I no longer expect it, and cause me to have to pay an overdraft fee at my bank. If their order history does not say cancelled, are they really going to remember? I could dispute the charge afterwards, but that probably is not going to recover any overdraft fee. This is all really thoughtless and inconsiderate towards the customer.

They are horrible, charged for three day shipping I ordered on 14th today is 22nd still no fabric. They left me a message on the 16th saying that they only had 14 yards of 15 that I needed was that acceptable. First I would have answered there call if they hadn't called from a restricted number and second that was 2 days later and suppose to be three day shipping, hello..., so i email them and tell them that I received a call from there associate who left me a message that sounded as if she was bothered by having to call me and that I was very unhappy with being charged for three day shipping when that was never going to happen at that point., I paid extra for that. Also the track it option did not work could not actually track my package, still have no tracking number. I was assured by Jean in customer service on the 17th that she was going to reach there warehouse and get my fabric sent and leave my order as three day shipping, yesterday the 21st I emailed Jean again and no response. I'm calling my bank this is the worst experience i have ever had with an online fabric store and I buy a lot of fabric. After reading other reviews if I ever get the fabric I will be sure to send it back to them return receipt requested. I would give them 0 stars if possible.

Lousy Customer Service
October 10, 2017

I place my order for overnight delivery then the next day I find out it won't be here for 3 more days. I ask for the delivery to be made again... my answer as long as I pay for it again they won't charge me for delivery. This is unsatisfactory because I paid for overnight. They tell me they have no control over the delivery service. Now I can understand that yet they also don't care if I get it. I am a sales person and would go hill over high water as they say to make my customer happy. The first person hangs up on me and I didn't even yell. I call the second time and she was willing to issue me a credit for the overnight delivery charges but still not willing to call back the delivery and redeliver it next day. I am told that I can refuse the shipment - which I did. Now it's been 5 business days and still no credit to my bank acct. I call to find out when and they say 5-7 business days. I told her I would call back in 2 days. Later I get an email saying that they won't issue a credit till Sunday (5 more days away) - that just throws the 5 to 7 business days out the window. So they are saying to me in No Uncertain Terms - I'll get it to you when I want to and we lied to you about our policy - because we really don't have any policy - it's when we feel like it. I will NEVER AGAIN ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE. Their customer service does NOT EXIST. I tried to give them NO STARS but it won't let me submit it with NO STARS. You should only get a star if you had done something good.
