The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with ticket delivery, refund policies, and customer service responsiveness. Many customers report being charged exorbitant fees, receiving invalid tickets, and facing unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations and claims of being scammed. While some customers appreciate the variety of events offered, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of trust and reliability. The company's rigid policies regarding refunds, particularly for postponed events, further exacerbate negative perceptions, suggesting a need for improved customer service and clearer communication.

Unless you want to pay an exorbitant price for your ticket, don't buy from here. My order total was $142 before the delivery fee and service fee. Delivery fee was $6.95 for email which was weird but I let it slide. The service fee, however, was $21.66 EACH for a grand total of $43.32, bumping the price up to nearly $200!! I've been to MANY concerts and I've never been this gipped.
The process was fine. Having to pay $45 for a processing fee is absolutely ridiculous. I wouldnt have done it if I didnt really wanna see j. Cole.
Would recommend for all my friends to order tickets here. Didnt have any hesitation on what if and didnt have to wait on the line to place the order of the tickets. Very friendly
Super easy... super quick... will def use site again. Took all of 90 seconds to find seats, enter info, pay and print out tickets.
This was the first time we used OnlineCityTickets. The process of ordering our tickets for Neil Young via smart phone was relatively simple. We ordered roughly 2 mos in advance. We requested and paid a fee for overnight ticket delivery. We thought that meant paper tickets would be FedX/UPSd as soon as they were available. We were notified of ticket issuing delays via email relatively promptly. The day before the event we received an email with a link indicating the tickets could now be downloaded and printed. We did so. On the printed ticket was a statement that no printed tickets would be accepted at the door. There was, however, a statement about using a cell phone but the terminology was confusing. So paying for overnight delivery apparently relates to downloads, not a paper ticket. Although we received a payment receipt nearly immediately after the Initial transaction it was for the total amount. The charges werent broken down. We downloaded the barcoded tickets and had no trouble at the venue with either the tickets or seating, although the venue itself had trouble with their bar code scanners scanning the cell phone download. So my suggestions are: to Online City-1. Receipt with all charges clearly stated. 2. Have the barcode portion of the ticket larger for easier scanning on smaller phones. 3. Reword the cellphone download information on the ticket to make it less confusing (Tickets must be downloaded to your cellphone for use and your cellphone will be scanned at the door, for example). Advice to customers-skip overnight delivery option. Not worth the money for the service. The service/handling fee may or may not be within the typical range for a ticket reseller, but it does seem a little steep with respect to the amount of the ticket.
DO NOT USE this service. They buy the lowest price ticket and charge you more than double. I cried to myself when I saw the tickets I bought for my granddaughter and myself. I explained I wanted excellent seats. They sold me the last row that was 33.00 and charged me 146.00. I could not believe it. Lesson learned. PLEASE DON'T BE A VICTIM WITH THESE PEOPLE!
I purchased tickets to the Grease Sing Along at the Hollywood Bowl. I, unknowingly, was redirected from my phone to Online City Tickets for the purchase. I thought this was the website used by the Hollywood Bowl so I proceeded. I paid an exorbitant amount for box seats and was booted from our seats because the tickets were issued to someone else days before the event. The Hollywood Bowl was gracious enough to let us stay inside because they said we shouldn't have even made it through the gates. Do not buy from these criminals!
Brindan toda la informacion que senecesita, dan un buen servicio lo bueno que tambien te atienden en espanol.
Took 1 hour to processes my order! They asked me a million questions and put me on hold 5 times then said it was timed out and had to start all over again
I didn't use the site but called the Amphitheater direct. I thought the price for just lawn seats was way out of line...they should of been for reserved.
Perhaps you might consider that over 25% of the ticket price in fees and expenses is a tad excessive! Youre making bands fan base really difficult to justify following their music Heros. Shame.
Want more specific details - seat numbers, not just section and row.
Are you kidding me you want at least 100 words.
So far everything seems to be going smoothly and the website is easy to navigate through. We will recommend you to others when buying concrete tickets.
I cant wait and Im so excited to see my favorite person in the whole world on stage and kill it like he does in every music video every movie and every single time he gets on stage its gonna be blast and I cant wait to turn up!
1st timer, so far so good. Getting through the gate will make me a believer. That is all I can say for now.
Same as above I would prefer a paper copy because I am confused if I have the tickets. I will continue to follow steps
Sure, it was easy - but a $12 "service fee" for EACH TICKET, and THEN an ADDITIONAL $7.50 electronic download fee? Just when did emails become so darn expensive?!?
The site was extremely easy to navigate but a bit pricey with the surcharge. Overall experience was above average. Seating information before charging CC was not available or my be I missed the info. Seating view of the venue would be helpful.
I felt the site was very easy to navigate and the fees were reasonable all things considered. We are looking forward to the show at the Hollywood Bowl and if needed I would be happy to use this site again
Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
