The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with ticket delivery, refund policies, and customer service responsiveness. Many customers report being charged exorbitant fees, receiving invalid tickets, and facing unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations and claims of being scammed. While some customers appreciate the variety of events offered, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of trust and reliability. The company's rigid policies regarding refunds, particularly for postponed events, further exacerbate negative perceptions, suggesting a need for improved customer service and clearer communication.

Has anyone gone to their concert in which they ordered tickets for from this site? I just bought sabbath tickets and I got so ripped off. I'm just hoping I can at least go! Someone please help and let me know
Bought 2 tickets-value $58 each-was charged $100 each and a SURPRISE $60 service charge that was never quoted in the initial price. Also there was no way to know where the seats were until money had changed hands. Definitely a very questionable business and in my mind a total scam. LESSON learned too late-Please do not make the same mistake and pay over twice the amount.
Thought I was on AXS site for 2 ticketa, but got scammed for 6 tickets at double the price. Real classy!
The ticket prices were not what made this experience bad. The SERVICE CHARGE however was bs. Because of this i payed way too much. So disappointing.
My wife made a mistake using Onlinecity to purchase tickets instead of clicking on the venue in Portland Oregon direct. Come to find out Online is charging $150 more for the two tickets than we would if we had gone to the correct site. I feel we have been taken advantage of.
We became aware of there fine print policy after the fact. Our bad. We are disputing the charge with Visa and hoping that we may be able to get the charge reversed.
Waste of money. This is not a ticket 'broker" site, these are all out shameless scalpers. DO NOT BUY TICKETS FROM THIS SITE! I had to learn the hard way, don't get taken like I did!
I bought 3 $18 tickets to Frozen On Ice in Spokane for $328.00 expecting to be seated in the fourth row seats I selected on the venue seat map. We were seated 4 rows from the top in a different section. Unbelievable bait and switch. Don't bother calling them they will not bend on their fine print in the ticket agreement you agreed to when purchasing. I'm considering a class action suit. Join me by responding to this review.
Do not purchase through this site! Purchased 7 tickets to frozen in wrong state on accident and you cannot even speak with a representative, they only contact via email and have no customer service! Once you purchase there is no way to speak with anyone! Save your money!
I just bought tickets received them before I saw news Reporting about this company in Az a lady not allowed to enter her concert. My tickets were sent FedEx but are paper that they copied off printer. I'm not taking a chance. Reported to my credit card.
Little nervous with all these negative reviews? I purchased tickets last night for my daughter and a friend to go to Bieber is there a way to verify that these tickets are VALID?
WHAT A RIP OFF! TICKETS WERE SOLD TO ME FOR 104. Per seat yet actual seat was 64.00. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE SO MISLEADING!
Do not order tickets for events through Online City Tickets! I ordered some this week and paid an extra $23 to have them shipped Fed Ex Priority Over Night and they were shipped regular and wont get here until at least the 16th. If you call in to get a refund you can't speak with a real person. You are supposed to e-mail them and hope for a response. It's a total joke and I'm pissed...
If you enjoy getting ripped off, This ticket agent is for you. I bought 4 very expensive seats for my family to a Steve Martin/Martin Short concert only to find out at the venue that 2 of the seats were unusable (because you needed to have a wheelchair)! Unbelievable! After contacting them, they said they were not at fault. I have since stopped payment with my credit card co and I'm spreading the word on how unethical and illegal this company is.
After AXS online ticket sales crashed, I looked to find another place selling tickets. My husband found OnlineCity Tickets for the show time that we wanted. While we paid almost 5 times face value, we were able to secure tickets. It was a little (actually really, really) stressful waiting to find out if our tickets would be delivered and if the were legitimate. We received the tickets prior to the promised time. AND... we had NO problem getting in! I saw a ton of bad reviews but it seems most people are just upset about the cost of the tickets. That's what happens with ticket resales and is a given that you are going to pay more than face value. I just wanted to put someone else's mind at ease and say that our tickets were legit! *I was not paid for this review.*
I bought 2 tickets for a Broadway show in Portland, Oregon. Tickets arrived on time and the show was good. The face value of the tickets were $59 each. I was shocked to receive a bill on my credit card for $685! They did not respond to my emails or phone calls.
I cannot believe I got scammed! Excited to purchase Carrie Underwood tickets Wells Fargo Center in Philly... I was redirected to this damn web site and I purchased 4 tickets
They cannot tell me when I will receive, where I am sitting... I ask for a credit and they said no... know I am waiting for a supervisor to call me...
OnlineCityTickets.com!
First time customer here. I got my tickets from FedEx 8 minutes prior to the event start. Missed the first 30 minutes of it. I called customer service and all they would offer was a refund on shipping. It's not about the money, its the principle. DON'T SELL TICKETS YOU CAN'T DELIVER ON TIME. I often wonder if the tickets had shown 5 minutes late if they would have offered a full refund. Will not be doing business with them ever again.
I too have NEVER complained on line, but when I ended up paying $190.00 for three $18.00 tickets for Disney On Ice which was only 1/3 full, I'm going to say something! They argued that the secondary market can charge what they will. I too don't mind paying a bit more for last minute purchase, but this is ridiculous! NEVER will I EVER use them again! BEWARE! Seriously, go to a different site to get your tickets! It shouldn't even get a star, but it's forcing me to put one which means "It doesn't get any worse than this. STAY AWAY!"
I never write reviews or complain... But, being a business owner I purchase lots of tickets for my staff and personal use. I usually order all of my tickets through Smiths Tix, whom I thought I was ordering through and for some reason I was routed to Onlinecitytickets. The morning the tickets was available for purchase. I went ahead and purchased tickets through onlinecitytickets... I though would be great seats and within an hour I was called by Onlinecitytickets and informed the tickets I ordered was sold to someone else, it was a glitch in the system. He promised that I would get better seats than what I ordered. I should of demanded a refund... when I was notified that my original tickets was double sold. But, he assured me my tickets would be better than what I originally ordered.
I received my tickets on Friday... Guess what I received $74.98 dollar tickets for the price if $173.00 a piece. My seats changed from section #2 roll 11 to Section #19 roll 18... How does that work? I paid the total amount of $689.65 for 3 tickets that the face value is $74.98 each a total of $224.94... It would of been one thing, if I hadn't ordered my tickets the day they were available on at 10:00 and I had to pay extra to attend an event. Can I tell you, I was ripped off and its totally unacceptable to do business this way. I understand that everyone is in business to make a few dollars but, come on that kind of mark up on a ticket that was ordered the morning they went on sale it unbelievable. I would of been better cancelling my tickets and showing up at the show to try and buy tickets for a guy that's trying to make a few dollars. I'm sure I would of saved a lot of money!
As, a business owner, I can't believe how this company works. I will share my experience with everyone that I know that buys event tickets.
Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
