The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with ticket delivery, refund policies, and customer service responsiveness. Many customers report being charged exorbitant fees, receiving invalid tickets, and facing unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations and claims of being scammed. While some customers appreciate the variety of events offered, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of trust and reliability. The company's rigid policies regarding refunds, particularly for postponed events, further exacerbate negative perceptions, suggesting a need for improved customer service and clearer communication.

The website works well and is user friendly. The problem is high fees and the tickets cost way more then the value printed on the tickets.
The processing fee is to high and there should be a limit to what they can charge over the price of the ticket.
Maybe it's because I'm new to this, but it seemed like a really long process to get setup and go through flashseats and setup all these accounts just to get tickets to an event. Very discouraging for 1st time use. I almost just didn't order them due to the hassle.
Very easy to use. Ticket came right to my email. Would use again.
Okay so I admit I wasn't paying attention when I saw orchestra tickets for the King and I for $92. I should have known as the row was AA to XX. Then there was the extra $110 service charge. The tickets have a face value of $32 and surprise were in row XX on the left.
All I can say is buyer beware.
Never heard of it before. Decided to try it, it was cheaper than ticket master so I can't really complain. Plus it was fast and what not.
Was very easy to order tickets. Very quick response time!
Very happy with the fast service in buying and receiving my tickets
The place to go for concert tickets in Boise Idaho
Bought two tickets to a comedy show for $84.50 each - there were $25.20 of "service charges" for each ticket & an additional $7.50 fee for "instant download"
Ridiculous to pay over a quarter of the original ticket cost in fees. Tickets weren't even presale. Very upset.
Using targeted ads by google, this site is a middle man that buys tickets and re sells them. Save yourself a lot by buying directly from ticketmaster
Tickets worth $112 cost me $410.95 after they added their so-called "service fees", There was no service other than overbilling my credit card. They should be shut down.
The ticket shows a cost of $20, I paid $37 plus handling charge, plus en electronic charge. I am confused about descripancy of ticket price.
Rate excellent except for the excessive service charges
I consider, that for a ticket which already is more than $100, any kind of extra charge is unacceptable.
Around Christmas time, wanting to offer to my family a quality, classical amusement, I really had to open my wallet. I have bought 3 tickets total value of $357 + service charges $107.10 ( are you kidding me?- I should have taken one more person to the show for the price of $107.10!) + email delivery $ 6.95 ( charging for email delivery? This is the first time when I meet this charge). Finally: instead of $357 the real value of the tickets, I was forced to pay $471.05. Nice! I still feel like somebody is joking with the costumers. But isn't funny at all!
I have seen this ballet before, in Europe, couple of times, in different cities, but the tickets didn't have this called "service charges".
What kind a services? I got the tickets by email.
It is ridiculous!
I am very disappointed!
A cultural, educational institution, what makes so inaccessible for middle class people to see a beautiful piece of one of the famous composers of the world!
Sad.
Again, I am very disappointed of the head-management.
Ordering was easy but if my wife hadn't had her heart set on seeing this event, I would have probably looked elsewhere for tickets. I think the service charges and electronic delivery fees were excessive.
I wanted 2 tickets to the Nutcracker Ballet. Searched on onlinecitytickets and found 2 seats! I wanted to make sure I had a good view, so I made certain I would be near the front in the section of the symphony hall that I enjoyed. After selecting my seats, I was told my tickets were secured and on their way! I paid $350 for these tickets. The tickets didn't arrive at my apartment until THE DAY I needed to be in the city the ballet was being performed at. And upon looking them over, they were NOT in the section I had selected, but rather on the other end of the hall in the back. The seats were not worth anywhere close to $350 either, rather they were 2 $50 tickets. I am a struggling college student! I haven't been to this ballet in nearly 10 years and wanted to have a really nice night out. Onlinecitytickets ruined my experience. I could barely see. And I wasted 2 weeks worth of pay to cover the extra $250 I shouldn't have paid for these horrid seats.
2 things...
1. Received the tickets in just a few days via email.
2. Contacted OnlineCityTickets support. Very helpful.
Website was very easy to use. I was able to purchase my tickets and download them with no problems.
OnlineCityTickets is not original seller. When I ordered I thought I was dealing with MetroTix and ended up paying double for the same tickets MetroTix Had
I wish I could cancel these because I think you give all legal scalpers a bad name
Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
