The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with ticket delivery, refund policies, and customer service responsiveness. Many customers report being charged exorbitant fees, receiving invalid tickets, and facing unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations and claims of being scammed. While some customers appreciate the variety of events offered, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of trust and reliability. The company's rigid policies regarding refunds, particularly for postponed events, further exacerbate negative perceptions, suggesting a need for improved customer service and clearer communication.

Using the site and getting tickets was a great experience. The only drawback in my opinion was the high service charges.
While I was disappointed at how extremely high the mark up in the ticket price actually was, OnlineCity Tickets, did in all fairness, state that there would be a mark up in pricing.
Also, I was stunned how very quickly I received my ticket. 3 days from order until I had it in my hands & the concert is 3 months away!
I would recommend OnlineCity & plan to use it again when I need tickets to a show that I can't get elsewhere!
I have an order confirmation. And a follow up email that sent me to this page? I didn't recieve any tickets yet. When shall those be in my email? Or are they being sent to my home address?
Unhappy that need to wait till august to get tickets via email to print out.
Do not use these people they use unscrupulous business practices. Would not give a refund 2 minutes after purchase. Uses website that mimics local venue.
This was such an easy site to use and when I had a question, they responded in less than 24 hours. Great service!
Site was very user friendly, no annoying counter timing out while you make choices.
This was a user-friendly site to purchase my tickets.
Site was fine, little jumbled visually, but easy enough to use. Good experience overall.
I WAS ABLE TO LOOK UP WHERE I WANTED THE SEATS AND THE PRICING WAS RIGHT THERE. THE AVAILABILITY OF THE SEATS PER SECTION, IN SEQUENCE, AND ABLE TO DOWNLOAD THE TICKETS IS GREAT.
I WOULD DEFINATELY USE THIS SITE AGAIN AND PASS IT ON TO FRIENDS AND MY FAMILY.
I realized I made a terrible mistake and bought tickets I don't want now and when I called (within 5 minutes of purchase) to try and return them I was told NO! I begged and pleaded and nothing. I have never been so DISAPPOINTED in my life. Any other site or store will allow you to return anything at any time but NOT this one. Save your money or go to another site that allows refunds, you'll be better off.
Not even worth 1 star but I had to chose.
VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER
I paid double more than a have to pay on the original web site. The one I saw later. Plus i bought two tickets and they were not next to each other! Im going with a girlfriend and we wont sit next to each other for that big ammount of price!
I purchased very expensive tickets 3-1/2 months prior to an event. When I didn't receive my tickets 3 days prior to the event, I began contacting Online City Tickets. They could only say my tickets would be coming. I asked for a refund, I was told, "I apologize, but our guarantee exceeds that period of time up to the event time. We never guaranteed otherwise. We will not be able to give you a refund."
After this I spoke to them on the phone and they offered me lesser seats and a $100 discount (refund). This $100 only paid for the lesser seats we received. Since I was told I couldn't receive a refund (above), I accepted this deal.
They said they offered me a refund, which I dispute and they won't allow me to list to the recorded phone conversation.
Bottom line, I purchased very good tickets well in advance and ended up last row of the entire event. VERY, VERY poor service. I talked to several different people and they were not at all willing to make things right. THEIR MISTAKE; not mine.
Easy to use the site. Tickets were immediately ready for download.
I am so cynical. Am praying the tickets are legit come event day.
I do think your service fee is excessive. Since I had to print off the tickets myself, I think $42.00 is a bit much for 2 tickets.
Am I correct that the ticket costs $22 and I paid $100? If so, I am so unhappy!
It was easy to purchase. But nothing special. Needs to say about buying tickets for groups of more than 4.
Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
