The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with ticket delivery, refund policies, and customer service responsiveness. Many customers report being charged exorbitant fees, receiving invalid tickets, and facing unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations and claims of being scammed. While some customers appreciate the variety of events offered, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of trust and reliability. The company's rigid policies regarding refunds, particularly for postponed events, further exacerbate negative perceptions, suggesting a need for improved customer service and clearer communication.

OnlineCityTickets was the easiest method of purchase for a concert ever - and I'm no spring chicken!
Website was very easy to use and faster than other ticket sales websites I've used in the past. I definitely will use Online City Tickets Services again in the future. I'm a very satisfied customer.
First time user. Easy purchase! I would definitely use them again in the future. Went online and purchased and printed out my tickets soon after. Feel very confident in this purchase.
It was Good, it was quick, and easy thank you very much and was very much needed and was awesome and cool to use thank you
When searching for tickets to a Roger Waters show, we came first upon a site that seemed to be the venue online presence (complete with venue name in the URL). Only after wading through the site to purchase tickets did we realize it was not the local venue web site. The ticket price did not include the $20 per ticket handling fee and the required UPS delivery of the tickets.
We tried to cancel ticket purchases immediately via chat line and then via phone. They were adamant that no refunds would be given. Their reasoning: they are only a handler of ticket sales between "professional ticket outlets" and the buyers. They say they cannot reverse the order process to cancel an order. They recommended reselling the tickets - but through another ticket reseller as they only handle "professional ticket outlets" and not individuals. Upon looking at the local venue site, it appears that Online City Tickets charged about 25%-30% above the listed ticket price from the local venue retail site. We will see if the correct tickets arrive for the show (via UPS) on time. (We have also seen reports that tickets don't arrive until the day of the show.)
We contacted our credit card to stop payment; but have seen reports of lawsuits by the company against ticket purchasers for attempting to stop payments - lawsuits the ticket purchasers LOST at a hefty fine as well as legal fees.
So now, we are stuck with tickets plus "hidden fees" totaling about $200 for a show whose tickets could be purchased from the real local venue web site for less than $140.
When purchasing a ticket through your local venue's "web site", it could be in your interest to look for the name "Online City Tickets" appearing in a link on the page or at the bottom of the page - just so you know with whom you are really making your purchase.
I ordered tickets on line and they came really fast to my email. I printed them and have them in hand. I was a little nervous ordering from this site but It was very fast and easy.
Thanks--can't wait for the concert!
Great place to purchase tickets easily. Inexpensive and very easy. Just click and go. Would recommend to anyone who would be willing to work with purchasing tickets through your company.
Great service, nice and easy with no problems. Very fast. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. Will use again. Thank you for the awesome service.
Great and easy just wondering if they come in mail or delievery. Good set up and ready to go over night with insurance offered and taken
Excellent confirmation service, we hope that the tickets will be sent to us in a timely manner. We would like to know about the parking service. Please can you advise us on this?
We only have the sector and the row would like to know the number of seats
Thank you
Fast and easy site. After looking at some of the more popular websites for most desirable matinee times, I was successful in booking through Online City Tickets!
I give it a B-... I give my wife the same review in bed. Easy, simple, kinda trashy... Just like my wife. But, I married her so why not commit to a ticket review? Well, I'll tell you why. Probably because I'm high... On mt dew
People would like to make in an informed decision... if you have nothing to hide then why hide it? I am sick of scammers. Just tell the potential buyers and if they really want the tickets they will still buy them.
Couldn't see where in the row the seats are located (aisle, middle of row...). Site is easy to use but the service fees are crazy high! Almost $60 PER ticket. C'mon son!
My Worst experience buying tickets that were way overpriced. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Do not trust this website to purchase any tickets.
Online city tickets is a great website to use to get tickets to events. It was very easy and simple to use. I would definitely use it again in the future. I highly recommend the website.
The website has a good setup as Well. Thank you for making it an east process. The only thing I'm not sure about is how you receive your tickets when buying online. The pull down for shipping methods only had email as an option, so how do I get the actual tickets in hand?
Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
