The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with ticket delivery, refund policies, and customer service responsiveness. Many customers report being charged exorbitant fees, receiving invalid tickets, and facing unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations and claims of being scammed. While some customers appreciate the variety of events offered, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of trust and reliability. The company's rigid policies regarding refunds, particularly for postponed events, further exacerbate negative perceptions, suggesting a need for improved customer service and clearer communication.

Online City Tickets is ridiculous. I purchased tickets to a show in Boston which had the highest service fees I've EVER seen -- the fees alone were 30% of the cost of my tickets. I realized that I purchased them on the wrong date just moments after I completed the transaction. I tried talking to service reps both online and on the phone and they didn't even want to listen to what I had to say. I understand that there's a "no refund policy" but I just wanted to cancel the transaction for that date and purchase tickets on another date. Your company would still be getting my money. I'm certain there isn't "nothing we can do." Now you have a pissed-off customer telling others about my experience with you when the resolution could have been much simpler. Never order from OCT.
These folks are a resale marketplace which means they buy tickets earlier and then resale with an extra 60$(USD) service fee per ticket, That's insane guys!. If they stop buying earlier we can still buy those tickets from the official seller. No, no, no, I am not going to help this company make money out of nothing.
Easy website, friendly experience buying my tickets, I will recommend OnlineCityTickets to my friends... No doubt
This is my first time using this site and was extremely pleased with the quick response and ease of use. Thanks.
I just ordered a ticket for the Andre Rieu concert in October. The fees were only shown just before checkout. Over $70 in fees, and then they charged an additional $8 to deliver the ticket by email! I find it hard to believe that it cost them $80 to process 1 ticket order.
Overall good quality. They made it easy to buy tickets, especially because I bough them a day before the concert.
Thank you for makings ithe process really easy. I will definitely use this sight again and will recommend it to my friends and family.
It is very easy to do. Got 2 tickets for October 7 2017. The fee was a little to much you should be able to get them from the box office not on line.
It was so easy to order tickets, but I am very uneasy about the tickets having someone else's name on them. I thought I was buying directly from Ticketmaster.
Great but this survey is very annoying. You are getting my service charge and now I am being asked to write 100 words about a ticket-buying experience.
Effortless! Easy way to by tickets guaranteed! Cheaper than their competitor for the exact same row.
Good but I don't think if your buying two tickets together they should just charge one service charge
Was an easy transaction and we can't wait to go to the show! I will definitely be using this site again!
Charges are high but not as high as some other places. Was very easy to secure tickets. Now to wait and see if everything arrives on time!
The website was the easiest site I have ever used. Absolutely user friendly and I truly believe that even the less experienced computer person could buy without having to wonder if they ordered the tickets properly. Too easy!
Very quick, very easy. The ticket price was right on and cheaper than any other places I looked. I will definitely be ordering from this site directly from now on
This was my first time buying a ticket online. It took me a just few minutes to process. I clicked on what I wanted to see (Matilda the Musical, Majestic Theater San Antonio), found my price point on specific seating, punched in my card info, then downloaded my OnlineCityTicket from the email sent to me. I will definitely use this service again!
Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
