The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with ticket delivery, refund policies, and customer service responsiveness. Many customers report being charged exorbitant fees, receiving invalid tickets, and facing unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations and claims of being scammed. While some customers appreciate the variety of events offered, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of trust and reliability. The company's rigid policies regarding refunds, particularly for postponed events, further exacerbate negative perceptions, suggesting a need for improved customer service and clearer communication.

I bought tickets, and had them printed in less than 15 min... I will buy through you again for sure
Buy your tickets as soon as you know how many and the date. Prices go up every day which I do not think is fair. Very expensive! Looking forward to receiving the e-tickets soon. There is an option to buy insurance in case you can not attend. Price is reasonable. Need to know more about the terms of the insurance. Was not clearly stated.
It was so easy & got great seats at a great price- it's a birthday gift for my 9 yr old son@! So excited & cant wait to see his reaction. He had a list of 5 concerts he wanted to attend. I was able to tak e him to two of the concerts! Can't wait to end the summer with Luke Bryan!
I was trying to get tickets on a different site and couldn't get it to work. Glad there was no problem with this one.
Thanks
2 times in a row they have screwed me. I bought tickets for Dead n Company. They sent me the exact same ticket on 2 sepperate transactions. Now for Bob Seger tickets... I bought tickets in section 322 ( behind sound board and straight shot of stage.) My tickets arrived section 342! That's 20 sections over w obstructed view and bad sound and they called it a upgrade. That's a opinion not fact. If I wanted those seats I would have bought em in section 342. I will never purchase tickets from this site again! I have told all my friends and now I'm warning the public. You will not be satisfied with the experience of buying tickets here. Stay away from online city tickets! Save yourself a hassle STAY AWAY! This service is total garbage. I will NEVER, EVER buy from them again, and encourage anyone who even thinks of it to use a more reputable service. My issues are simple:
1. The tickets were in a range of seats. Ok. I knew that and was willing to accept it as it is not unusual. However I asked when I ordered the tickets with the price I was paying if I was likely to be at the back of the section or not. He said "You will be in the first 3 rows. I've never had anyone pay this much per seat and not be close." We were in the last row.
2. I had to pick up the tickets at will call. I paid 2.5x the face value of the tickets PLUS nearly $200 "service fee" for buying through this vendor.
3. Do the math. I paid nearly $800 for tickets that should have cost me $210.
This vendor is awful. Customer service sucks. I am a conservative buyer and looked for the best seats. Never again. And I'll be sure to spread the word on every social outlet I can find. These people should be out of business. Total scam.
I usually use ticketfly, but they didnt offer the show I was looking for found these guys and I wont swith back! Thanks very $#*!ing cool!\,,/
If you are lucky enough and able to purchase the tickets you want when they go on sale, more power to you. If you are like me and are too busy to check for tickets, then this is the best site to use. I just bought front row tics for over face value, but less than I expected. I will definitely use this site again!
My first time usung this method of purchasing tickets. So far the process has been relatively easy. But I can provide additional information after we finish.
I found the cheapest tickets on this site for the concert I'm going to with great seats, and was fast and easy!
Fast cheap and easy. I can't wait to go to this venue. I would use it again! Fun fun fun fun easy easy easy easy easy
I got a confirmation... but it states the tickets will arrive one day before the concert. I ordered the tickets in May, the concert is in October. A month and a half later I still so not have any tickets. Frustrating!
I waited up until 1am to purchase tickets online to only have the message 'cannot proceed to next page' come up before payment. On this site I purchased better tickets than were originally offered to me and paid and received them via email with no fuss.
Attempting to get confirmation via emails produces no response. A bit disheartened due to the expense of the tickets and an entire evening planned around these tickets for a present.
I got the confirmation quickly and received tickets within minutes of imputting the order, Price cheaper than on ticketmaster.
A rip-off-$96 charges for my 2 tickets-I'm so angry i ordered tickets on this site! Went to PNC Arts Center, Holmdel, N. J. and thought I was on PNC Arts Center Site-misleading! I will never order tickets from this site again-when I called the 800#-the customer representative was not helpful at all. Thanks alot!
Purchased tickets for $113 NOT including their fee, total was $150, then found out the venue sells those tickets for $41
I purchased tickets from this site, and not only were the prices marked way up, implying that there was great demand for them, but also there was a $159 service fee that I was not aware of until I'd already paid. Since I bought the tickets, I've seen that the prices are now much lower on this same site and on every other ticket buying site. I will NEVER use OnlineCityTickets again and definitely recommend looking around at other sites before you are even tempted to go with this dishonest site.
This Company gets you on their website by carefully placed google ads masquerading as the actual venue you believe you are purchasing from. Their website is designed to look like an arena seating map leading you to believe you are on the venue site. The fees are exorbitant and there is no way to cancel your transaction immediately when you discover your transaction was made to a third party site. Again very deceptive and they hide behind their "no refund policy' so there is no way to stop payment even before you actually receive your tickets. The credit card companies need to allow consumers to cancel these kind of fraudulent transactions immediately to prevent scammers like onlinecity from hiding behind policies whose only purpose is to make so no recourse is possible for a consumer who was taken advantage of. Do not do business with them and report this behavior to your credit card company. Eventually they might wise up and not accept transactions from them.
Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
