The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with ticket delivery, refund policies, and customer service responsiveness. Many customers report being charged exorbitant fees, receiving invalid tickets, and facing unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations and claims of being scammed. While some customers appreciate the variety of events offered, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of trust and reliability. The company's rigid policies regarding refunds, particularly for postponed events, further exacerbate negative perceptions, suggesting a need for improved customer service and clearer communication.

This website is simple to use and has an enormous amount of concerts listed. My only complaint is the outrageous service charges per ticket. I purchased 2 tickets and the service charges were over $150.00. Ridiculous!
It took 2 minutes to find the seats i could afford. I entered my information, charged the tickets. I got an email that my purchase was approved, i printed out, my tickets, and have them in my hand, this was so fast and so easy, this is a great! Website!
I purchased 2 tickets for Book of Mormon at the Kennedy Center. I quickly realized that I purchased via third party and emailed them less than an hour after noticing my mistake, they never replied, ever. I tried to call but their system kept leading me to a dead end and would simply end the call. It cost me $140 MORE than had I purchased through the direct site. I strongly warn everyone to avoid this site unless absolutely last resort. I'm the sucker this time but will NEVER do this again.
I used this appl while I was at work and it litteraly took me less than 5 minutes for the whole process.!
Ordered Roger Waters tickets, it was easy and fast and the price was
The best. Would order from this group again. Carol B. L
The counting crows and matchbox20 concert on Friday night got postponed to the following Tuesday without the counting crows. Clearly not great and the host of the events is issuing refunds. But if you bought your tickets through 'online city tickets' then you don't get a refund according to their terms of service. So who is getting the refunds and where does all that cash go? Is it possible that 'online city tickets' is collecting the refunds and not passing them into customers? Mmmm?
It was quick and easy to purchase the tickets. Very easy to find and buy. I would definitely use this website again.
Received the tickets within minutes. Very easy! In fact, the longest part of the process was putting the ink cartridges in my printer as it was out of ink!
Very easy and fast. I will definitely order tickets from this site again. I will also recommend this site to friends to order tickets in the future
Very easy to use and great prices. I received my e- tickets the same day. No problems occurred trying to print them as well. I will use this site again for future concert purchases.
Why do I have to write an essay? I've gone through school already! Glad I bought the tickets! Woohoo! Freaking Chris Stapleton!
The only reason I'm not giving 5 is because I'm waiting for the event to happen to make sure these are legit tickets. Other than that love how easy it was to purchase!
Bought Friday night Matchbox Twenty and Counting Crows tickets. They cancelled the show as we were parking. They "rescheduled" the event on Tuesday without Counting Crows. Not the same event. We paid for Matchbox Twenty and Counting Crows and the venue substituted the show with just Matchbox Twenty.
Spoke with Eva and extension 2594. What a $#*!. I'm sure she was reading from a script but she kept saying "we see this as a cancelled and rescheduled event, hence no refunds. Not the same event! It's not like Counting Crows is some scrub garage band that doesn't even have a demo CD.
I will never give OnlineCityTickets another penny of my money and rest assured, I will tell anyone who will listen about the crappy service and weak unilateral, self-serving decisions they make that will potentially screw their customers.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS JUNK COMPANY!
When I looked up the amphitheater to buy tickets for a concert I was automatically directed to Online city tickets website which looked a lot the venue website. I quickly ordered the tickets as I knew they would go fast. The person selling me the tickets was friendly but talked very fast. He did explain everything about the tickets and when they would be delivered. My total cost was more than double what I would have paid if I bought them directly from the venue. After buying them what I didn't like was the idea that I had to wait until two days before the show before my e-tickets were delivered. I didn't have a good feeling about my purchase and looked up a bunch of articles about ticket resellers. Not good. So I stressed about it right up until the day of the show. Iworried about arriving at the concert which I invited my sis and her husband to come join us and getting turned away because our tickets were not valid. On the morning my tickets were to be delivered they were there by mid morning without any calling or anything so that was a good sign, they were easy to print and fortunately they were valid so no problems. So all in all they were up front about everything and did deliver on time with valid tickets. But I will know better next time and be sure I go through the venue or artist to get a better deal. You just have to get on it right away because companies like these buy up all the tickets right away so they can sell them for twice the price. I didn't get scammed but it's not worth the stress
Reasonably priced, good optics easy to follow will use again and recommend to others thanks much keep up the good workk
I have not yet received my e tickets. The concert is tomorrow evening so I hope the email arrives soon. I tried to "live chat: however no one accepts the chat.
Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
