I'm browsing and see a lot of things i like but they have "sold" on them whey not take them off so legitimate items have a fair shot of being seen. It's like that with a few other sites as well. Why can't or won't an item be deleted when it's no longer available so people like me don't waste time emailing and browsing through items that are no longer available.
At one time OfferUp was nice. It was just neighbors buying and selling used items they didn't need anything more. Now it's full of retailers like Amazon and Wayfair bombarding the app with new and expensive items flooding out the person that just wants to sell their item at a low price. My solution... I just donated my nice couch to The Salvation Army instead of dealing with the BS on Offer Up.
OfferUp is the most useless app on the planet. Usually when I sell something I post it on both OfferUp and craigslist. To this day I have never sold anything through OfferUp. It's always been a craigslist buyer. People on OfferUp inquire about your item and then never answer back or they will make plans to meet you and not show up. I'm pretty sure that it's a fake app with fake users.
Offerup is the worst selling app I've ever tried.
They won't allow you to list your phone number or email.
They are the worst place to advertise anything of some value like a vehicle because you won't get any serious replies even when you pay up the nose and promote.
I use to love offer up and was on it several times through the day all day long seeing what's new. But for some reason they decided to change the app after they got together with let go. It is a strong word I know but I Hate the new app so much I'm maybe on it 4 or 5 times a week now. Can't seam to find things easily anymore so I went back to Craigslist.
FORGET about customer Service if you have an issue. Their own instructions to request a refund do not show up where it tells you to go and click. Their support is less than Pathetic. I've had 2 good purchases where I picked up... BUT not worth anything for when you run into a problem... (and you WILL)... You'll find so many repetitive complaints if you google Complaints and reviews for Offerup.com. I recommend Highly for you to Not use Offer Up.
Tried to buy from a reputable seller. After purchasing, seller politely explained state of item didn't match description and suggested I cancel the purchase, apologizing.
Guidance on website on how to cancel the order as the buyer was incorrect and options presented did not match the guidance. Customer service is handled through Twitter posts and DMs. After asking to use my e-mail to finish the support request, customer service hasn't followed up about it.
Issue was resolved with the seller external of support.
Would not use website again knowing that site personnel intervention is non-existent in case of an issue. If you order, know how to dispute credit card charges in case there is an issue.
This site or app offers no way of posting items that you would like to sell unless you have an Android or IOS phone to install their app, and not everyone has one of those types of phones. I mean seriously why even build a website if you can't post items for sell on the website through your pc, it's just a big waste of time and I don't like having my time wasted. This is just my personal opinion but they could really improve there service if they offered a version for pc or even for windows phone, in conclusion if you must use this app use it at your own discretion as for me I'll just stick to Ebay or other sell and buy groups accordingly.
I was selling all my items on Letgo very successfully with no problems and meeting good honest people. Since OfferUp bought Letgo I've had nothing but scams, and people that just want to gain your email of phone numbers. Find someplace else to do your selling and buying. I mean who sells a $52,000 RV for $3,000 except on OfferUp?
Purchased a men's wallet on their platform through shipping method. When i got the wallet, immediately i know its counterfeit. I reported to offerup about it and a auto message tell me a offerup team member will get back to me. I waited and waited with no reply. I contacted them again and they finally reply back. I ask them about my claim i filed two weeks again and to my surprise they said i didn't filed a claim properly. What a shock! After few message exchange they said they can't do any about it. Guys, please stay away from buying through shipping because offerup is on the seller side because that's how they get a commission from the items they sell.
Stay away from this scam seller (picture).
Both times the seller told me to send them money through cash app before they delivered it, and both times I did not receive the item. The sellers on this website are not trustworthy so I would highly recommend buying from eBay instead.
I Was banned due to "unacceptable risk" whatever that means, I have already shipped several orders and never got paid for them
Do not use this company for buying or selling. They are terrible.
I cannot login and never got my $550.00 owed
I have 20 items for sale with not even an offer. On Facebook marketplace my items are sold within a day or two. Same thing on Letgo. OfferUp is a waste of time... hardly any views and no offers at all. I do get lots of weirdos asking for my phone number. Not a good site at all.
Offer up sucks. All they try to do is get you to pay to advertise your stuff in order to sell anything. On let go i sold tons of different stuff super fast all the time. That all changed when it got bought by offerup. Im deleting my offerup account. Its sucks and is a waste of time.
I have made (1) successful purchase through offerup. Trying to sort through all of the ads that were posted over 1 or 2 years ago or contacting sellers on an item that was sold but the post wasnt removed or marked as sold is just to frustrating and a waste of time. There should be a way that offerup could improve on this.
I've been trying to join Offerup for months. Initially, I wanted to buy a stove but could not join since they said my phone number which I use every day and have had for about 20 years isn't a phone number. My handyman is a member, so he got it for me. Still wanted to join and tried numerous times and was always told my phone doesn't exist. Finally told them I'd be writing a bad review and they said they would check further. Now they say my phone is a VoIP. Just in case, I called Consumer Cellular to make sure they don't do something strange. They confirmed that it is NOT a VoIP. So here is one more review to add to the 4,181 others on this review site to point out how bad the company is. Don't waste your time with them.
In my experience, I've messaged every seller of interest with the intent to buy their item but none of them have cared enough to get back to me. How hard is it to take your listed item down if it's been sold? It's frustrating to say the least. The offers on this site are great but it's been just a waste of time for me
My son was looking at a quad - found one for $500 when he asked why so cheap he was told the bike belonged to their son who was recently killed in a car accident and they couldnt bear to look at it. Then stole $500 from my son. Hes only 17 and was trusting - lesson learned the hard way for him that people just SUCK!
Received goods damaged in shipping. OfferUp said I needed to return by January 6. I shipped on January 6 and have the USPS receipt to prove it. On January 6, OfferUp denied my refund, saying I missed the deadline and had zero interest in proof otherwise. Their customer service are the same overseas scammers who phone you all day long. They want me to provide my confidential information to TruYou to remain on site. Why? They've already proved they are inept or thieves. Plus, they already have my financial information. So I cancelled my credit card, I got my refund through a VISA dispute and will never to business on OfferUp again.
I sold three items and the people all received and had no issues. Had a total of $300 (approx) I was paid for one item and it was cheapest! They don't answer emails and when they do you receive BS form answers! I will serve them with papers! Thieves!
Answer: No limit to how many items you can post. To delete the post. Just click on offers. Them there will be a mark as sold button, edit button, then next to that is a button with 3 dots. Click that. Then click archive. Done. No affiliation
