Northbound Gear

The pants arrived on schedule. They are warm and comfortable and the zip at the bottoms of the legs helps get them on/off when wearing shoes. My one surprise was that they have a very high rise, so the waistband is around my navel. I normally wear my pants just above my hips and initially thought they made the inseam much too long. A high rise makes sense for pants designed to keep you warm, but customers should be aware of this when deciding whether to buy the pants.

Excellent service and support for an excellent product. Received feedback to a query pre purchase; no import tax to UK; product just as described with good fit which matchesd sizing description. Good "green" packaging. Recommended ( camo trousers).

I ordered 1 pr of pants, the site was easy to use and although delivery took 2-3 weeks the product is of good quality and sized slightly on the large side but fine. I tried to order a second pair a size smaller, payment made and I thought all was good. Only to be told I needed to pay an extra 35 dollars to cover "remote" delivery. This wasn't mentioned on first order. The order was cancelled and refund given. I'm in Great Britain and covered by parcel force and similar. As I said "Great Product" "questionable service"

Ok I thought a review from am older group was needed. I purchased a pair of pants for a trip I was making to Newfoundland Canada for my 65th birthday. Doing several sea tours, I wanted a pant that was light but rain resistant. These pants worked out beautifully! I picked a size 10 and 12. The 10 are a bit snug, the 12 a bit loose, but being at an age where my weight changes and going on vacation where I love to sample the local food, I wanted the extra room. My only complaint is that the fabric is rough, you need to wear your top inside the pants to be comfortable. There were lots of sea birds, I'll let you guess why the pants had to be washed right after the trip! Hung them to dry and they were dry by the next morning. That'll come in handy for my camping trips! All in all, I'm satisfied with my purchase. Very comfy, perfect in rain and wind conditions! Keep on moving!

I ordered a pair of outdoor lined pants according to the size chart.
They are at least one size too large, probably two.
I am still waiting for the procedure to return them and exchange for smaller ones.
Except for this sad situation, the pants are good quality and arrived quickly.

There were a host of issues dealing with Northbound Gear all of which is documented in emails between myself and the company. Now, I have received my order and have to return the garment (pants) because the quality of the item - specifically the fabric and finish - are well below my expectations.

6 emails and 5 phone calls and you never returned my call emails were not much better said u would look into where my pants were no follow up got message that they were clearing customs ….really Vancouver to Toronto north to Bracebridge…3 weeks

The product is fantastic, placing an order is super easy, the shipping delay was not good at all. We were advised that they were experiencing shipping issues...but only after we had been waiting for 3 weeks.

The delivery of these pants took longer than expected, but the product was everything I had hoped for. I have even taken to wearing them curling (stick curling) and the warmth and flex is welcomed. Thanks!

Except for the occasional long wait for items to be delivered, purchasing from Northbound Gear has been a great experience. The products I've ordered have all been consistently well designed and the quality is excellent. My outdoor gear gets used regularly and all of my Northbound clothing is proving to be very durable. I am a happy camper!

Pants were ordered November 25 and never arrived until December 28. Their site speaks of long, long order times but I am not sure why the delay. I ordered because the address was in B.C Canada. The delivery came from off shore I am sure. The pants came as ordered. Not happy with customer service. They have none. I called twice and emailed a few times.
No actual "human" interaction. Based on other reviews, I got what I ordered in the timeline given even with a storm in Ontario. They NEED a true customer service department. Based on my experience though, I do not think I would order again.

Northbound came recommended by my hiking friends and I can see why, their backpack and tactical pants are truly impressive. The adventure pants especially are well made, very warm and reasonably waterproof.

Took awhile to receive the pants. Material is lovely. Tried the pants on but the waist is very very stretchy (you will need a belt) and the inner label that's sewn into pants scratches your skin. I'll have to have it removed carefully. I'll try these pants out this winter. It's cold in

Took 20 days to deliver my order. Was expecting it in 6-10 days but when time passed I checked with customer service that it can take as much as 6 weeks in some cases. Customer service is very responsive.

Easy for an old guy. I'm not comfortable shopping online. I'm a boomer, I like to touch before I buy. The transaction was easy, the product is as described and would recommend to anyone who would ask about it.

Website was suggested to us by a friend & turned out to be exactly what my husband was looking for. He in turn suggested that I get a pair of waterproof pants too. Husband loves his but I will have to return mine for a smaller size. According to website, returns & exchanges seem easy.

Recently purchased adventure pants and the fit and styling weren't worth the price tag. I asked to return them, and all i got was a label to a factory in Canada, plus the news that there would also be a $5. Restocking fee. Combined w mailing cost ($30.), I can't get my purchase price back and that is not satisfactory customer care.

I have found Northbound Gear a great place to shop. As I'm living in Ireland I was a little nervous about the sizes and wondered whether the parcel would arrive.
Size was perfect and delivery took a few weeks as I expected but I wasn't charged anything extra from customs.
Great communication from this company. They genuinely seem to be lovely humans.

The pants are excellent! They are warm and comfortable to hike in. I've taken them snowshoing and regular hiking and they've not disappointed. I ordered mine to be a little bigger so that I can comfortably wear long underwear underneath.
