I now wish I had read these reviews prior to my own purchase - I would not have bothered to purchase my lounge - very disappointed and it seems you need to hire full time staff just to respond to negative reviews! What does that say.

Purchased mid July - advised about 11 weeks til delivery but paperwork states 12-14 weeks with another (up to) 3 weeks up their sleeves... they still couldn't deliver in that time frame and declined my request for a full refund even though they themselves breached the contract.
Totally disappointed and now realise why the manager offer me a $120 in store credit - what good is that to me.
No thanks - I will NEVER purchase from Nick Scali again and will make it my mission to let others know of my concerns.
I have lodged with the Dept of Fair Trading - they should be in touch soon.

Then the manager Ross sends back a generic reply.
Took 3 months to arrive, and straight away there were problems. Footrest didn't work, misaligned back and back rests, tight stitching causing creased everywhere. Therefore first call,out, oiled underneath, fixed but not working properly after technician left. He also stated the sofa will calm down and the alignment will come good (lol).
Second call out, an independent reviewer examined and wrote a report to state, sofa is passable…but not Nick Scali quality. So very unhappy. Got a phone call stating NO WARRANTY, so now I writing here and any other sites I can. Go somewhere else.

After rejecting 4 dining chairs weeks ago due to poor workmanship, & being promised 2 deliveries since, been told today to wait a further 2 weeks for delivery! Even though stock is available. Over the last 19 years, have spent thousands of dollars on sofas, dining room tables, lounge chairs etc purchased from Nick Scali so extremely disappointed with the poor service & tired of not having any chairs to sit on at our Scali table
Hi I just wanted to say I'm very dissapointed with the delivery drivers that have left the mess in the middle of my floor why couldn't they take the boxes and the plastic from unwrapping the couch and get rid of them now I have to pay to take them to the tip I would not come back and shop at nick scalli again

It takes 3 months to actually get the lounge. Do you know why? Because it is made in China
We bought our lounge before we moved, just over 3 years ago. When the lounge arrived, it had to be assembled.
We have dogs, so it was always covered with blankets to protect it.
We paid extra for one off accidental damage.
When I removed the blanket to give it a wash, I spotted a slight spot on the leather. I got the leather cleaner (bought from Nick Scali) and as I was cleaning it, the spot got bigger
I filed a report, a guy came and took lots of pics and said I would hear from the Manager.

We have called you before and advised that we are unable to proceed with any further repairs since the damage has been gradually aggravated due to usage and period of time since the damaged occurred.
There were also cracked skin damage that was not disclosed, cracking on the leather is caused by lack of maintenance and using hard cleaning agents that dries out the moisture on the leather. Plus there were lots of scratches as well, pet damage is not covered under your warranty and damages caused by lack of maintenance.
Does that look like scratches caused by dogs?
NICK SCALI your leather lounge is not what you advertise and the damage was caused because the leather is poor quality IMHO.
We have spent approximately $20k outfitting our new home with Nick Scali furniture. One of the items purchased was a leather corner lounge. We paid for this lounge 12 months ago and only realised when we moved into our new home 2 months ago, that one of the recliners is missing. Since then we have been dealing with the store direct and the 'No Resolutions' team. Over the past 7 weeks we have dealt with different people all promising to get back to us with a resolution, but they never do. All we want is what we paid for, but it seems that they have our money so they don't care. Do not purchase from Nick Scali - sales team very helpful, but any issues and they put their heads in the sand and hope ypu go away. Very dissapointed, this has been the worst customer experience ever!
We purchased a reclining couch which was poorly constructed, however, the ensuing two replacements were seamless, at all times we were not without a couch while we waited. In the case of the third replacement, I was offered more money to choose a different style which worked well. In every instance, the manager at the Wairau Park Store made sure that I was not too stressed by the experience as a customer. I had paid more for the second couch than the value of the third, therefore requiring an overpayment which was promptly returned to my account. Level of customer service was very good.
Nick Scali Mackay had the worst service and worst experience in delivery. Got told a delivery date, made full payment. Waited 3 months only for delivery day not to be met, called up and they said I hadnt paid in full which the confirmation email and text message and my bank showed otherwise, called up the Townsville warehouse as Mackay advised that after there story changed that I actually did pay in full for both couch and delivery over $500 as I live two hour sun land of Mackay. Got told to call Townsville warehouse on why it was not delivered. Townsville said mackay had told them it was pickup only. So then had to pay another delivery fee to get the couch delivered. Couch came, discolouring on the couch and they have sewed the zip on the cushions upside down so the cushions are separated
So tell me why Nick Scali has so many specials when they can't even keep up with the current customers waiting on deliveries but instead they keep on extending delivery dates…. When i call Nick Scali bundall QLD all you get is a Cowboy salesman that should be working in a budget furniture shop he just says this is in your contracts. Is this really a prestige furniture company absolutely not?! Also to top it off. I rang the complaints department which is also outsourced all she said you will need to spoke to the shop or you can email I can't help you!
The furniture is made in China and Vietnam. Marble tables are made of concrete with a thin layer of marble wrapped around the concrete.
They have a guy that wheels a trolley of paint and paint brushes who's job is to do "touch ups" as they leave the warehouse door on route for the unsuspecting customer.
Underpaid, over worked with no acknowledgment you even exist in their company.

Was forced to sign papers (during covid) so head office could claim extra $$$ from government and I was a casual worker which I had no rights sign. They did eventually get caught and had to pay the $$$ back!

We bought a sofa from Nick Scali Joondalup in Perth. There was an initial problem that's been fixed - now a second problem I'm about to report. I'd avoid buying anything from them again.
After waiting nearly 3 months for my item I was given a deliver date then cancelled as the console table didn't pass quality control I was then given another date for a new one to arrive waited in all day and it didn't arrive customer service don't have a clue what's going on I was even given a tracking link saying my order was on its way never again
Purchased the Valeria lounge L shaped in 2017. Beautiful lounge but since then have had to have multiple call outs to have the frame repaired, which also included lounge picked up and returned to the factory for repair. We do not have young children jumping on the lounge and are all within average body mass weight ranges. The customer service is excellent for sending out technician and the technicians are all very professional but how many times do I need to call Nick Scali to send out a technician? Very frustrating that this keep occurring and I cannot relax and enjoy my lounge. Spoke to team multiple times without much resolve. Just received a very generic email. So disappointing.
All I can say about nick scali is very poor quality, very poor customer service and they don't care about the customer at all. I have had my lounge replaced 3 times and it's still crap! Have had to wait 20 weeks for replacement, and I'm pretty sure the 3rd lounge is the first one that I had a problem with. DONT BUY FROM THEM or you will be sorry. This is after just a couple of weeks being replaced.
I so wish I had read the reviews before buying from Nick Scali! Thought I was dealing with a good company with integrity - how wrong I was - I spent $5500 on a lounge suite and was assisted by a new inexperienced salesman in the McGregor store who was very amenable but did not have the knowledge or experience to be dealing with customers spending a lot of money on lounge furniture - the store even acknowledged in an email to me that he was new and still learning, this being the case I would have thought his work would have been checked by an experience person! As many people say on these reviews once they have your money they don't care. So far there is nothing wrong with the suite other than it is not what we thought we were ordering but they are not interested in sorting this out. I only hope from reading these reviews that we don't find after a while it is also inferior quality. I will never buy anything from them again. I visited Focus Furniture very close to Nick Scali at the same time when I was looking and really wish I had bought from them - the lady was professional, knowledgeable and so deserving of my business, I regret not spending my money at their store.
After just 2 years my couch looks a wreck. It now makes loud cluncking sounds when reclining. Will be getting rid of it asap.

Disgusting customer service and equally disgusting behaviour and false sales tactics from Anthony Scali (Yes, even worse - he is a relation!) and their Bundall store Manager, Scott.
When my Husband and I purchased the couch from Nick Scali at Bundall, QLD, 2 years ago our Salesperson was Anthony Scali who is related to the Scali family. Anthony's words were "This is a 5 year guarantee to re-cover the couch should anything happen, no questions asked" We thought fantastic and didn't ask anything else and purchased the warranty, especially with 2 young children we for sure would be needing this - Something Anthony also agreed with.
However since purchasing the couch, we have read NUMEROUS bad reviews online around how terrible and unsatisfactory the customer service is and about the warranty being rubbish - I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt however be warned, all of the reviews are very true.
Anthony Scali's promise was a verbal agreement and one I'll be sure to pursue with a fight, in conjunction with the ACCC.
All we are expecting is the re-covering of the couch. As promised to us when we purchased the warranty.
I would recommend that you DO NOT purchase any products from Nick Scali, especially not a warranty as it's sold in a false manner.
Today, on 21st June, I nearly fell off my chair when Anthony Scali called me - I was excited that we may come to an agreement, however NO SUCH LUCK. Anthony has an extremely terrible phone manner and could not listen without interrupting, was extremely defensive and hung up on me!
There was no trying to resolve the issue or come to an agreement. It was clear that I was not going to get anywhere with him on the phone as he was unable to listen to anything I had to say, and so I asked for a refund on the warranty which was also shot down and denied just as quickly. I was basically told that I was a liar and that he did not say what myself and my Husband were told by him. He could not get off the phone fast enough.
Despicable service, all of the reviews you read are very true. Avoid at all costs.
Table arrived with the base unevenly painted and rust.
Six or more emails and numerous text messages and finally got a response on change over date, then Nick Scali cancelled the delivery at last moment, still waiting and no contact.
I bought the table in October 2022, it's now June 2023. I will never buy from Nick Scali again.
