CRAP SERVICE
February 10, 2023

Brand new recliners delivered and not checked on delivery. One headrest broken and one chair completely dead. Money up front, now I know why. Try getting someone out. Good luck. Why don't you give me my $10k back until you deliver a working lounge? The most useless phone system ever. Cant even call my local branch. Do not buy from this overpriced under service organization.

Never Again

We bought 2 chairs from Nick Scali Cockburn in September we were told they would arive in January we told the saleasman we would be overseas until the 4th of Feb and he said that was ok they would hold them until then we also asked them not to call us as we dont have roaming on our phone.
We got a phone call from them I asked them not to contact us we were in Thailand and did not have roaming after that we received 25 text messages we had to turn our phone onto airoplane mode which meant we were unable to access the music on our phone,. We contacted our daughter and asked her to call them they were very hard to contact and not helpful when they were contacted. The sales staff seem to be hamstrung to help with our complaints. The delivery driver went to the wrong house and would only take cash or bank deposit we have a vehicle that we could have picked them up but were told they had to be assebled which was a lie.We have only had the chairs 2 days the leather appears to be loosening which were not expecting.The Nick Scali review sent to my phone jumped from one star to two as I pressed the send button

Daughter brought a lounge from them and just inside the warranty period there was a breakage with the reclining framework, when she rang to report they said that they would make an appointment with a specialist technician to come and inspect the lounge and decide what action to take. When the date was set my daughter realized that she would be overseas, (mind you this was quite a few weeks after first reporting problem) so asked me her mum to be there to let the technician in. Technician arrived a day early so no one home so he sent a message to daughter that he rescheduled in 5 weeks time, meanwhile I am at the house waiting for him to show up on the correct day. When daughter informs me of this I ring the service number to tell them that he came on wrong day and I am waiting for him to show up now but they refuse to speak to me as I'm not authorized on their end to be able to represent my daughter? There was no mention of this being a requirement before, I was only there to enable access to the lounge. They refused to deal with me they were very hard to understand, and they also told me that they were located offshore as I said that I was going to the Kotara store to sort it out which I did and they also were not able to help me as the service team is located overseas and they can only communicate to them via email also while I was there I got my daughter on messenger to verify that I was acting on her behalf, made no difference as they also need to go through overseas service team, what a joke of a set up, so much room for error and can't just ring service technician to just return to house on correct day, still waiting on a new date for repair as 5 weeks later not good enough...

Please do not purchase any Item from this Retailer.

We have been told our item will be delivered in 10 working days.

When we checked for an update, they advised it would come in the next three fracking months.
I thought the solution was to cancel it, but they have a very dodgy sales condition.
"cancellation beyond the 3rd day from the date of the order can be accepted, but this means you will forfeit all deposit monies."
Does this sound fair? Would be fair if you told us there would be a long delay before we signed your sales condition. I hope someday you will get what you get... just saying Karma EXITS!

Appalling service from Nick Scali from the day I ordered, through to a year later when the product finally arrived (without any comms on the delay), then when I was overcharged on delivery, then when the lounge suite battery stopped working, then again when the second battery stopped working and Nick Scali refused to replace it under warranty. I would never buy from Nick Scali again. Keep away.

Really disappointed

The delivery times gives are not accurate times keep getting extended out by months with empty I'm sorry statements given to you as the customer. And you can only talk to someone on a 1300 number ( if you can understand them they also take no responsibility) you can't talk to your local store you ordered through.
Then when your finally long overdue sofa is due to be delivered their incompetent staff book you in on the wrong delivery day ( a day when they don't do deliveries to your area) so then your delivery is Even further delayed. They are really happy to take your money in advance but not take any responsibility or pride is delivering your product as promised
Crappy service crappy excuses incompetent staff if I could give a zero star I would

While my experince in store was accepable, I was highly unimpressed with the massive mount of rubbish left on delivery. On calling the company, they claim that disposal of the packaging is our reponsibility which will now require a trailer and waste disposal fees. I'm very unimpressed by their lack service and flexibility. As someone who has worked in furniture retail, charging $320 for delivery and then leaving rubbish is not acceptable. I certianly expect more for the price we paid. We won'
T be purchasing through Nick Scali again. At this rate, we'll be supporting family owned furniture businesses that actually care about their customers.

It is very ironic that your shops at Wairau are displaying items like the one on the picture that you do not want to sell. Take it down and do not display it if you do not intend to sell it. So annoying.

After waiting 4 months for our lounge to arrive, it was completely different to what we were led to believe in-store - pattern. Our concerns have been disregarded by Nick Scali, both online service (4 weeks contacting them to try and resolve, with never one call to us) and store manager - Bundall store. Not willing to help in any way, we have just been disregarded, after the thousands and thousands spent over the years. We have been misled in how the lounge would appear and will never shop there again.

We purchased 4 pieces of furniture from Nick Scali costing a lot of money - many months of waiting and 2 of those arrived broken we did not want to accept them on arrival but NS delivery refused to take them back. After over 6 months of fighting they took one piece back and had to involve my bank to get our refund months later - still fighting as we have a lounge that is broken that we can't use. Had to go out and buy another lounge. We saved for ages to get this furniture and the company just does't care once they have your money.

Purchased a sofa from this joke of a place in Klemzig, ask if that's the best they can do as we all do. Couldn't drop Price as this was as low as they could possibly go. Two days later advert showing the Sofa dropped $300.
Rang them up to see what they could do nobody wants to talk to you apparently they can't make a decision without the wanker State manager Who apparently has no customer skills and doesn't talk to anyone.
Had to ring them back multiple times as no one returned your call.
After begging for the discount they finally come back and said we will give you $150 credit off your next purchase even though we have only paid a deposit. What in the hell I'm gonna do with $150 at their overpriced shop how insulting what they want me to pay another 2 to 5 grand for a couch to save $150.
I've already talked 2 people out of buying sofas from this place.
Amazing how much business they will lose from word-of-mouth because of their poor customer service

I waited well over 24 weeks for a lounge suite to arrive, quoted 12/16 weeks. Their customer service
Both in Australia and offshore is woeful they have insufficent phone service. The owners of this
Company treat both the customers and the staff with contempt due to penny pinching with the whole business model. The only money spent is via their ongoing television advertisements on TV in prime time.
As for customers, there is not customer service. I eventually received my sofa with problems

WORST COMPANY EVER... Service is a joke... SO many things have gone wrong with our lounge suit and now they wont even help.
They gave me a number of a service agent who had never worked for them or even heard of them... WHAT A JOKE.
Next step will be the Ombudsman and small claims to see if they can help...
STAY AWAY!

All about the dollars at the clients expense

Purchased a $2000 leather electric recliner-the warranty has just elapsed, by 2months, when I phoned the service team, and I was not looking for a freebie, was happy to pay, was told by their service team your warranty is out of time find a dealer in your area we cannot help?( what dealer, who, where, how?)
Hells teeth, what type of company is this?, what inferior product ranges do they carry that they cannot even entertain the thought of assisting a client who spent a fair bit of money for a chair?... how UN client focused are they that they just tell you that you are essentially to get lost you are on your own... they don't stand by the products they sell... their service is all about getting as many dollars from the client as possible then moving on... shame on NICK SCALI... what a terrible company to do business with-my advice, stay as far away from them as possible... they are not ethical and really do not care a hoot about the client.

This company does not value customers. Their store representatives are second to none at offering their service to sell you a product. Unfortunately this is where the happy part of the story ends.
We ordered 4 seperate items as part of a new house and in each case we had all sorts of problems with deliveries. Two products were delivered damaged. One product was taken back to warehouse and lost in their system for weeks.

Whilst problems can occur in any business, it is the companies ability to respond to these problems at minimum distruption, inconvenience and or cost to the customer that counts and this is where Nick Scalie fails and fails miserably. When our couch was delivered damaged, we had to follow up with them rather than the other way around. When you call this company, you end up in an off-shore office where they will not put you through to anyone. Be ready to spend hours trying to get your problem heard and a bunch more hours trying to get it fixed. Unfortunately the world of Nick Scali is on their terms and their timeframes as noone excepts responsibility.

Save yourself a lot of frustration and give these guys are miss. You could be lucky and everything goes to plan, but if it doesn't then good luck.

I waited 7 months for my new lounge and lounge arrived with chaise on backwards- see photo. I could have coped with wrong side but backwards! After 3 days I am still chasing them to resolve the matter. According to their website if I want to return the item I need to pay for shipping. Such a joke. No sense of urgency, no feedback, nothing. I am expected to keep waiting in a phone queue to talk to someone at their off shore call centre who knows nothing. I would not buy from this store again under any circumstances.

Wait Times Rediculous

I purchased floor stock of a side table, but couldn't take the floor stock even though it was advertised as floor stock for sale. I had to wait 3 weeks for the table to be transferred from the Midland Store to the warehouse, when I called to collect from the warehouse, I was told I had to wait another 2 weeks for the next available timeslot to organise pickup and only between Mon - Thurs 10 - 12.30pm and 1.30pm - 3. Not very convenient and a very arcaic system to work with. If I would have know this whole process I would not have purchased through them. Unfortunately I have a lounge on order which is expected to take 11-13 weeks, which I'm sure will be more like 18 weeks. I won't be purchasing through them again.
