Purchased a brand new $7,300 leather lounge suit with a so called reputable company Nick Scali who are far the worst people ive dealt with, the suit was 12 months old when the mechanism failed broke in two, they finally replaced it after months of circle work. When the technician came out i also mentioned too him the foam was junk and was also loosing its firmness, he told me they are crap and was going to fwd my complaint, didnt happen so i rang them and they told me there was no cover for this ring a local upholsterer... if you get 2 years out of your lounge suit you are doing well absolute junk F... U NickScali,

Appalling and disgusting so called customer service. It's been 27 weeks since I purchased a couch and then I get a message stating my couch was being delivered this Friday, I asked to move the delivery to earlier had I had made plans and the representative tells me if you can't have it Friday then it will be Sept 1st because her hands are tied and to call the driver to work it out with them.

Asked for a call back from a manager and never received it, I received better customer service from the delivery driver.

Purchased a Kylie Lounge 3 x Recliners, as a lounge suite 2 with one arm on each end with a console between the first two chairs. Purchased in Jan 2022 and Delivered in July 2022. Within a month armchair cushioning collapsed on seat and in sinks in one one side.
When you sit on the chair you fall to one side. Nick Scali sent a person out on the 1st Aug 2022 to view it and agreed that the chair needs to be replaced. Then on the 9 Aug 2022 received a call from head office that they are not going to replace the armchair and advised us to sit in another chair as the cushion will come back up after time. We have an issue that our family need all seats as we are sitting watching TV at night. How do we swap the seat to avoid the faulty seat when all are in use. We were totally disgusted in the comment Nick Scali made. We will keep onto this on a weekly basis till action is taken

Delivery deceit
August 7, 2022

It has become apparent at Nic Scali Furniture that it is normal for the salespeople to just promise a delivery date to get the sale over the line.

We were promised delivery first week of August for items purchased in early July. They then switched that to the third week of August and when I contacted them last week, they changed it to maybe middle of September at best. While I can understand a week or so delayed because of freight issues, well over a month is just a straight out lie about the original delivery date.

Customer service hotline simple reverts you back to the store you purchased from and the store blames head office but nobody actually rectifies anything for you so BUYER BEWARE. The date you are promised or expect delivery is NOT the date you will actually get delivery.

As you will see from the chain of comments on this and other sites, this is not just me but many of their customers.

I had to give them one star but for delivery, customer service and integrity I would have given zero if I could.

Remember too that even though they push their European background, almost all items are made in Asia or China specifically. This is not a comment about the quality, just about the fact that they like you to think you are buying "European"

Crap quality
July 31, 2022

Purchased a cavendish lounge just over two years ago, the frame is cutting a hole in the leather due to insufficient padding between the frame and the outer upholstery. Nick Scale response too bad it's out of warranty not that it's been manufactured poorly!

I am in NZ... the delivery was so delayed that I had to get an Airbnb when my family came for a visit. Upholstery was stained and NO SERVICE if you have an issue with the mechanics. BUYER BEWARE!

Terrible service. Purchased a faulty lounge, technician could not repair it so they would send a new one. New one arrived with the same problem. I sent it back with the delivery driver, told them I was not happy with it. They tried to send the same lounge back to me the following week. I have made dozens of phone calls and left messages trying to talk to a manager but they never reply to my calls. Stay clear of this company. Wish I would have $8000 for a 1 piece 3 seater lounge. So dissatisfied

Buyer beware
July 27, 2022

We had a new table delivered on Tuesday 5/7/22.
We were offered a form to sign and told it was to confirm delivery. In fact it is also to confirm that the item is in perfect condition. We were not told this and not given the opportunity to check the table. Because we have to wait many months for the rest of our order from Nick Scali the table sat untouched for 10 days or so when we happened to notice a fairly significant gouge in the underside of the table.
We went into the store, told the sales staff and showed photos of the mark. We were told someone would be in contact to find out what we can do within 24 hours. No one contacted us so we rang to find out what was happening and the next day we received a call to say the photo had been assessed as customer inflicted. No other feedback, no request for our side of the story or details about what had happened. Just that we had signed the form and therefore they would take not responsibility. This is a bit hard to take as we have not been able to use the dining table as we have no chairs. No one came out to see the damage and everything was assessed by photos.
So beware with this company - long wait times, everything has a fee attached, and minimal responsibility taken. Check the small print of what you are signing for because they won't tell you what it all means.

I purchased a recliner couch which was delivered after 4 months on 23 March 2022. The couch smells like chemical rubbish. No one can use it. I can't go to my living area because the smell bothering my respiratory system. During the past 4 months, I've contacted Nick Scali several times. They sent a person who couldn't find any resolution. I sent a letter to return their faulty product. After 11 days, Brett (escalations manager) respond to me rudely and said it is not the manufacturer's fault and they won't return it. He said I can get an inspector by my cost. I'm going to forward my case to consumer affairs. I will never buy from them and never recommend them to anyone. They don't care about their customers and they don't take responsibility for their faulty products.

New Lounge

Don't try and deal with the warehouse staff, all they do is say you don't have booking, wont listen, blamed my phone. Despite booking by us and truck drive who drove 6 hours they wouldn't release our furniture, unbelievable hopeless staff on the phone who couldn't care less about your requests.
Still unwilling to provide any solution besides you will have to book again.

Ordered 2 in stock items from the same store on the same day because I do not want to wait until stock is delivered to Australia from overseas.

Only 1 item was delivered as promised and a text message saying the other item was being rescheduled to one week later due to 'no truck in the area' on the day of delivery. This is NOT true because the other item is being delivered to the same address.

Long story short - after hours on the phone with the many different department, store and dispatch, I have decided to cancel the order as no one took the responsibility when thing goes wrong. 'I can't help you, I will refer you on'

Very frustrating experience. Apparent escalation to 'manager' but I have not received any phone calls from said manager.

I feel helpless as a customer.

After paying the full price for well over $10k worth of furniture and being promised it within a few months 10 months later most of it arrived, most of it ok but some of it damaged. So lets go with several more months of drama, time wasting "nick will do it all his way and you need to be happy" crap. They are surely the worst furniture retailers in australia. They have no ethics, no sense of reality or common sense. They are the worst of the worst

We bought two Davoli 3-seater electric lounge chairs from Nick Scali Castle Hill on 30 Jan 2022 that costs >$4000. The furniture was finally delivered on 27 Jun 2022 and the chairs are very heavy requiring 2 strong men to deliver them. The delivery men are from Enviro-Man. We were surprised when we were told that we have to install the legs to each of these heavy chairs ourselves. We asked them to install the legs for us. They refused, but collected $90 from us anyway. We attempted to install the legs ourselves and we found that there are no screw holes for the screws supplied to get in. This requires a lot of force to turn the screws in manually, to the detriment of your own hands! We still could not turn the screws in fully at the end. In addition, the heavy chair has to be turned after installing the legs which is almost impossible unless you have 2 strong men in your household to do it.
On the original invoice, it stated "Total delivery and installation fee = $90". I contacted Nick Scali customer service the next day and spoke to Jana. I argued that the installation should have been done as stated in the invoice. She had to communicate with her manager several times about the issue. She told me that they could only offer a technician to install 10 days later. I told her that is not good enough. She then told me that her manager said that I refused the delivery men's offer to install which is a total lie! A lie to avoid responsibility by her manager!
My warning to all of you who want to buy furniture from Nick Scali: you'd better think twice because you may be asked to install the legs yourself on a very heavy furniture that needs 2 strong men to do it! In addition, there are no screw holes. You will be struggling trying to do it yourself when you have actually paid for the service but the service is not provided.
Nick Scali provides such a poor customer service that they do not care once you have fully paid.

Terrible Service
June 16, 2022

After being late for over 2 months with the delivery time frame given. This was extremely inconvenient for us for personal reasons, but believe me, it was extremely inconvenient. Not only no one ever got in contact with us to keep us updated about the delivery but only $80 delivery fees were offered to me as compensation when I spent around $6000 in their shop. I asked for "stain insurance" or something like that, for the sofa we purchased, which shouldn't cost them anything, but even that was too much asking. What a joke, I will never purchase anything from them agin, what a disappointment.

Our order was rescheduled for delivery 14 times, then all the furniture didn't arrive. The remaining order has since been delayed a further four times. It's been over ten months and we haven't had our order filled.
I didn't ever think ordering a table, chairs and a sideboard would be so difficult and stressful. Please do not listen to Nick Scali's promises of 'slight' delays with delivery of items.

I have been bullied, ignored, treated with complete disrespect and lied to for 7months. When my new lounge finally arrived it is actually A SECOND HAND LOUNGE! Round and round in circles, despite all the photographic evidence (6 pages of photos) they have not approved a refund but are sending a technician to assess. ACCC and Fair Trading have been notified.
Do not buy from this company - BTW Plush is also owned by Nick Scali

In general the service is quite bad quality, I bought a leather sofa from them, which comes with factory defect. Tried to call the hot line within the same day of delivery to sort out the issue, however their customer service team runs in a circle and repeat the same question over and over again. No solution and pointing fingers to me, if there is a negative star I will rate them that will be good.
