My preference is for V-neck T shirts however this style has limited availability in NZ. Browsing on-line I came across NEXT which I knew of, having lived in the UK (nearly 30 years ago...) $44 NZD for two T's including delivery to NZ - bargain!
NEXT kept me informed as to delivery timing, updating for the effects on airline flights of the devastating cyclone Gabrielle that hit NZ. Goods duly arrived approx. 12 days after ordered on-line. All good so far.
Tried on one T - perfect fit, great quality cotton.
Tried on the 2nd T - different fit / sizing despite both being labelled "L" regular fit.
Contact NEXT on line to advise of the problem - Saturday NZ time - did not expect a reply until our Monday afternoon (UK am) - Confirmed nature of the problem and sent a picture of the two T's overlaid with a tape measure to show sizing discrepancy (this was not asked for but I supplied as courtesy).
Refund given for incorrectly sized T and advised to keep or give it away.
My son will be the beneficiary.

Ruined Event, my trousers were supposed to arrive Friday after 1 o'clock I received a message that my parcel was ready to collect in the store but nobody had seen it in that store. Customer service said that they experienced a wee glitch and actually after receiving the text confirming that my parcel I ready to collect I always needed to wait 24 hours to collect it, Is it some kind of joke? Avoid as a covid-19
Had a jumper bought me online it did not fit so thought I would have a journey to store to change, But NO if its bought online money refunded to purchaser. So do not buy gifts online if they don't fit you have to keep returning. Not Happy
Slightly hyperbolic title I know however the website is glitchy slow and unreliable. I am posting this review around Christmas where demand is no doubt high, however this just exacerbates issues with a poor website at any time of the year. Rubbish. Do better.
I am a next account card holder. This years womens range is appalling. I wouldnt wear 95% of it if you paid me. Please... sack this awfull buyer. Its boring.drab. Cheap looking. Over priced cr.p.. What is going on!. I gave the benefit of the doubt throughout covid. Well you need to get your act together! Very poor. Im considering cutting up my card.!
I write to warn everyone who wanna place any order from NEXT think TWICE! This company is the worst company I ever seen.
I have been a loyal NEXT VIP and Unlimited customer, I ordered over £******* with this company, they send out faulty and broken items so I returned items by their EVRI courier collection with tags and all in original packaging I had all the proof of online purchase and NEXT refused to refund me, I need to dispute each transactions with my bank and still in process. After I raised dispute with my bank, few days later NEXT sent two guys from agency to my home address with my private details and my family personal details as well all printed on paper obviously NEXT did a hard search without customer permission and they use camera recorded our faces and vehicles, they are threatening and harassing me and my family. NEXT are clearly using this as a way to avoid refunds which is absolutely disgusted! I will NEVER EVER shop with NEXT again, extremely rude staff ( Female Manager of BICESTER NEXT store), shocking online customer service, shame on them! Be prepare to deal with many phone calls, emails, worries, waste of time and losing your money if you wanna order from this SCUMBAGS company!
EDIT: Since leaving this review, Next has exacerbated the issues and is harassing me continuously with weird/random text messages and emails. It has not refunded my original order or responded to my complaint. Emailing the CEO Mr Simon Wolfson was a waste of time as the response comes from the same incompetent complaints department. I am now having to take legal and regulatory action against this company. Simply from having placed an order correctly. Shop here at your own risk!
Placed a large order, added a new shipping address which was correctly showing at start of checkout but Next system decided to randomly select another shipping address at point of taking payment. It had nothing to do with Paypal. Immediately noticed on the confirmation email and called them (the most dreadful Indian call centre - you've been warned!) and then began the circus of trying to get the order cancelled. Took up an entire afternoon not to mention the stress involved due to dreadful handling in India. The next day I received an email saying cancellation is not possible despite calling them immediately, explaining the error was on their part and with dispatch/delivery still 6 days from that point. Emailed a complaint and so far have not received a response. This company has gone completely down the pan! It has no values and clearly doesn't give two hoots about its customers. I shopped here regularly in the past but I will not be shopping here again. It's just not worth the risk in case something goes wrong! And this has been the case with last two orders.
The management staff are so rude they should be dismissed I have been told to get out of shop I'm always moaning and the manager David called me a liar so I asked for cctv footage of the incident which I have every right to request but was told no
Maybe your manager needs to read the government legislation on this before he refuses a customers request as it's my right again very disappointed

10 July in Tandem centre Colliers wood Next store around 14:30pm I entered that store to buy some clothes for myself (important note is that i was with my wife and with my 2 kids on is 5 and the other is 2), I'm a once a month client (so kind of regular one) and today whem I went inside to search for specific clothes for a event so I could match with my 5year old son (we bought his clothes there last month)
Whem I was looking for the fitting room I saw another customer asking one of the staff member where he could try and I ask the same, that staff member man age around 50 and 55 years old and collar skin was very rude saying when they have sales they don't open the fitting room. Otherwise they would have ques from boots (other side of the shopping centre, quite sure taht would be impossible but...) when I asked how can we buy the cloths if we can't trying them? He related very rude saying no clothes store is obliged to have fitting room and that when they have sales that is close.
So my first question: is this policy from Next UK? When you have sales your fitting rooms are closed?
Important not I'm was on the suits side and all clothes I was looking and wanted to try were not on sale.
This gentleman kept saying to come other day during the week.
When I said if I can't try I will not buy it and I left the clothes on tope of some angers in front of me. This staff member grabbed the cloths and came after me shouting " we're not Primark and you need to respect our clothes". If you have CCTV you will notice I put the clothes on top of other clothes on a hanger... he also says we needed to put everywhere it was...
I don't need to put anything back, usually I do for respect of the people that works on those store
I'm not British but would really like to see if I was British this staff member would have the same reaction and attitude, this was pure racism (I'm a white person and the staff member is a colour person) but this was pure racism/description...
I start walking to go out of the sore, again with my wife and my 2 under age kids, and this staff member start to walk after us and kept saying they were not Primark and they don't need Primark clients.
I have to say that the few times I went to Primark (not a regular customer on their store) I was always been treated with respect never tried their fitting room but the few time I went inside a Primark store they were always open.
Really Horrible store and Horrible Staff member, i do believe that not everyone working there is the same, Serious believe this guy is Racist and has some issues against foreigners.
I am not sure Next know what they are doing. I ordered items online and as you would expect I thought I would get next day delivery as advertised but once I got to the pay section it came up 3-4 weeks…ok I said I can wait. Then 2 days later an email to say one of the items as become available and if they can take the money from my account by a certain date then they will send the items. Then i got an email to say they have the money but as yet no email mentioning when it will be delivered. Since then i have had 3 more items "supposedly on the way" but no confirmation of delivery.
So many emails but no items.
Disappointing to be honest and not what you expect from a big "name" store. Won't be ordering online from them again as I'm not convinced they know what they are doing
I ordered curtain poles from Next online on 1st of June, then I started receiving calls from them to schedule the delivery. The only option they gave me was 15th, which I knew I wouldn't be at home, but they said they can't change it. Why am I supposed to go in a call and to confirm if the delivery date is immutable? Then I asked if the delivery location can be changed to one of their stores for pickup, but the answer was again no. They told me that courier will call me on the day of delivery so that I can make the rescheduling with them and on 15th courier personnel called me, and he couldn't reschedule and told me that I need to call their company. There is no delivery information nor an ID for the shipment on Next's website, so I called Next again. That day my call transferred many times within Next's system, it took almost an hour, and I was late to my meeting because of that. The sixth support personnel on the call told me that I have to wait three days so that the item will be back in warehouse, then I have to call Next again for rescheduling. So I called them on a Wednesday, and I had to wait until Monday. I expressed my dissatisfaction, and she said she will email the courier company, and they will call me the same day or the day after, which means 16th, for rescheduling. Today is 16th, nobody called me nor contacted, I don't know if anybody is taking any action. I also sent a long complaint email to Next on 15th, which took around 15 minutes since I gave all details, and today on 16th they answered with a template email with mentioning they hope they will do better on my next order. My problem is still ongoing, so they even didn't read my email. I am actually a returning customer to this company, ordered curtain poles before, and I should say the products are in good quality. However, their service is terrible, the previous purchase I made was to their store for pick-up, and they delivered to an incorrect store in a different city, which I needed to go there to resolve the issue, because the same reason, their service is terrible, their support service is reckless. I wish I will receive the items that I ordered, their system is relying on chance.
It was my first and of course my last experience with Next. I bought a jacket from their eshop. Although the transaction was successful and I was waiting for the confirmation for the order, instead I received an email informing me that due to technical reasons the order won't be processed and the money will be refunded. After 24 hours I contacted the customer care service. They said that the amount is temporarily blocked and that it would be refunded in 48 hours. One week later I'm still waiting...

Even though I have shopped with NEXT for a long time and I have had issues in the past but tolerable. However lately, it's been insanely ridiculous as to the issues coming up each time I order something. Twice, I have placed an order. The first one, after confirming and taking out $800 out of my bank account in one go, a few days later they canceled the order without giving me a reason. When I called, the stupid excuse was " it was a large order" and to do separate orders next time. Then they have the infantry to return my money in bits and pieces of $15,$18,$17 etc instead of the one chunk of $800 they were so quickly to pull-out and they said 3-5 business days. The second time, I placed an order in 3 separate orders, the deducted money in the big chunk right away and sent a confirmation. Nine days later, I am yet to receive any status update on my purchase. So I called them to inquire, not for them to have the infantry to tell me, they did not see the order placed on the 28th(the day I placed the order with confirmation) but they see an order placed on the 4th April which is canceled. I said, first if, I never placed an order on the 4th and second I was not notified anything was canceled and I had to call them to get that information? I lost it and went off on whoever was on the phone asking for a supervisor which they said was not available but will be in an hour. They said a refund was already initiated and I said I want my refund now and in the big chunks they took it out and not bits and pieces. Their reason this time was " some security issue" which they could not even elaborate on. I have purchased with NEXT for a long time using same account to do purchases. So what stupid ridiculous security issue are they talking about? Then, they did not even have the courtesy to let the customer know about the security issues before canceling their orders and worse of all did not even have the courstesy to let the customer know their order was canceled! Unprofessional, not allowed for a business as this! I will NEVER EVER shop with NEXT again and I will make sure to let all my friends and everyone I know, not to shop with this company again. Complete rubbish of a company! Stay away, they have better clothing companies out there with far more better policies and customer service. Such idiots! I would give zero star if I could!
Wanted some more of the lovely Next harem pants, which I have bought often in the past - a light jersey, tapered at ankle. Found what I thought looked the same on line but what arrived was a poor quality, poor imitation, wide legs - not as good as the original. Won't bother buying Next on line again.
I have used next for several years lately the quality and range of female clothing has rapidly gone downhill.
I've called them multiple times on 3 different numbers to ask them about something and they kept declining the call and they used the excuse of "your signal is bad" which absolutely sounded so fake I won't take this F U NEXT.
Good quality they have n good variety of clothes keep it up u guys amazing i got my shoes from here and they are very good
Had a credit account, never missed a payment, always cleared quickly and then suddenly 'temporarily' restricted for no apparent reason (it's been a few months now and still in place). I'd paid for a years worth of unlimited delivery on the basis that the service would continue to be frictionless, won't be doing that again. Good job I'd cleared my entire balance ahead of this mystery restriction.
On top of that, the website now seems to be falling apart at the seams, errors when trying to access the account area, search not returning results despite accurate keywords, poor interface, especially on mobile. Weeks long delays on 'in stock' items I'd shut down my account if I didn't have to call them.
I'd rate them as 0 out of 5 if it were possible.
I have been a loyal customer and have purchased loads of clothes online earning VIP status. However, that status was short lived as August and September 2021 I have experienced unexpected dodgy sales and poor customer service. First, I bought an item online sale and paid for the good. I waited for the item to arrive but nothing for weeks. When I called to check and trace, I was told the item was sold out! Second incident happened the same where I bought addidas trainers size 10. However, I was sent baby trainers (size 1). I was really angry. As if not enough, on 03/09/2021, I bought puffer superdry jacket on offer and paid online as I have online account. The item was supposed to be delivered at local store in Stockport on 08/09/21. However, that did not happened and no update about the progress. On 10/09/21 I contacted customer services to trace item progress but was told the item was in the warehouse ready to be dispatched. Couple of days later, I called again to check but was told "sorry the item you ordered has sold out". I was disgusted and upset. I demanded to speak to a duty manager. I was put through another customer service officer who wrong the first colleague I spoke to. I was told the item was not sold out but was lost at warehouse. How can goods ordered and paid for get lost or sold out! I don't get it. I think staff members who are dealing with online orders are playing the games. Good quality items with reasonable prices online are mishandled by dodgy sales staff. Though I have been a loyal customer with hundreds of clothes bought from them, the above-mentioned incidents angered me and I will never go back to next nor encourage friends and families to shop at next anymore. Shame on them!
