This site advertises "in stock" merchandise that leaves the warehouse in "24 hours" from their business which the site declares to be "open and shipping on time". When i chatted with a sales rep through the site, they stated that they actually take 5-6 weeks to make the items being sold, and that it would take another 1-2 weeks after that to ship them out. They were unable to point to any information on their site that explained this long delay. A college student ordering al oft bed today would not receive it for about 7 weeks, despite the "leave the warehouse in 24 hours" message in the loft bed's detail page on the site. Steer away from this dishonest business!

I would give 0 stars if I could! Stay away from this company! Customer service is a joke! They say they can custom build anything but somehow they can't even build items that are listed on their website! And disregard the claim that "most items leave the warehouse within a week", that's a bunch of baloney! They have no problem charging your credit card the the moment you place the order, but I've been waiting 8 weeks now & still haven't received my order! This company is a scam! SO disappointed!

I'd not go so far as to call it a scam business - they'll basically send you what you ordered eventually. So first the good part:

I ordered a loft bed from them, which was supposed to include the lumber, cut and sanded, and optionally stained (didn't go for this, wanted to stain myself).

It arrived after a few weeks and was missing an option, which they promptly mailed me without charging me for shipping again. So that's the good.

Here's the bad: the wood is very poor quality, with knots, cracks, and spliters. It's not well cut - the pieces don't fit together nicely. The sanding job is laughable. It's like they passed a sander over it once as ceremony rather than actually to make a quality product. It's a rushed job that's not worth the money. Honestly it'd be better to buy the plans and get the lumber from Home Depot or something and cut it your self.

The other thing that's not bad with a capital B, but a fairly skeezy, is that one of the owners or workers of the business Sam Marion puts fake 5 star reviews everywhere (including here).

Complete garbage. I could have made a better bed if I had sculpted it out of $#*!. And SOOOOOOO over priced. The "accessories" are Walmart rejects. Really, keep your money and look elsewhere. I wish I had.

The wood is not sanded, does not fit properly, has big chunks just ripped off, the parts do not match what is in the instructions. I honestly could have made it myself for 1/4 the price and it would have looked 1000% better.

Basically our purchase amounted to a Home Depot delivery - lumber and hardware. The online instructions and the paper ones don't align/difficult to follow. This is a business without a conscience, milking a niche adult loft bed, made in USA market.
Pro: American Made
Con: Took 6+ weeks to produce, poor quality wood, instructions don't align with actual items, overall craftsmanship is shoddy/cuts are imprecise.
Expensive mistake - should have researched the company/reviews. As someone else said, I wish we'd gone to IKEA.

This company is a sham. The customer service is horrible. I paid for painted wood, it was primer and the wood had crack and holes throughout. I immediately called Jonah and his response was "tell the driver to take it back." They are trying to charge me a restocking fee - for a bunch of poor pieces of wood.

Tip for consumers:
Read reviews before you buy. The good reviews are ones that the company puts to look good.

I thought I was doing something good by buying American Made. NOPE. The bed is made of the crappiest lumber they can buy. It wasnt sanded AT ALL. I paid for it to be painted and it wasnt. TOTAL CRAP!
Dont buy from these people!

The beds are ok,, the brackets are not spaced correctly, The beds rub when folded, the support bars rub, not amazing. They will work, for the amount of money i spent, i would not buy again. I would buy something else, or build them myself. I also bought the Install brackets, they also were way more money than what they were worth once received them, they did not end up working and would have required modifying more than it was worth. Upon trying to return them i would have to pay shipping which i was 100% ok with. I expected that, and then they also charged me 25%, for some bent over priced metal brackets. Not happy with the situation at all.

Tip for consumers:
Dont, find someone else to purchase from, or build them yourself.

I would have given zero stars if I could. I ordered an adult loft bed and the quality of wood should never be used as furniture. The pieces of wood are not sanded and look they have been chewed up. Some of the beams are even curved. My child uses this and it is not sturdy. They said they would paint it antique white but when it came it was half painted. When my husband called in they said they do not paint stuff only distressed. Its not distressed though, its half done. It looks like a bad diy project. My husband is handy and could have built this but we did not have time so we ordered it and I was excited to but American made. Any way, this is an embarrassment and I should have never put it together. My child had been sleeping on the floor for two months while I waited for it to arrive and I was thinking the shipping would cost to much to send back. I wish I had cut my losses and paid to send it back. It is awful, I am so disappointed and lastly, I will have to explain to everyone that sees that my husband did not make it and that we swindled by this company because I DO NOT want anyone thinking my husband built this hideous thing. IT is AWFUL! I am going to call customer service one more time and see how I may be able to send it back. This review only touches the surface on how awful this is. Just go to Ikea, I wish we had.

I just recently ordered from this furniture store wish I would of looked into them better. I have not received my order yet tried contacting customer service but I was told to email them with my order number I said but I'm talking to you right now and I have the order number he said this is company policy I and I said this is not true I read there policy no we're states this anyway I'm now so stressed about receiving my daughters bed all the horrible things people has went through with this company, so I started to research about horrible business and BBB is not trustworthy and that is a whole other story, so please people for all of you that had problems with this company call the general attorney if we're the business is located and also call the Federal trade commission because they are a apart of the government so they well investigate your claims so you don't have to go to small claims court which we'll take forever are hire a expensive lawyer if they get all of these complaints so much more could be done

DO NOT GIVE THESE THIEVES YOUR BUSINESS! I ordered a loft bed made to size at the end of 2018. With it I ordered the J staircase & a bookshelf. When I received all the items the instructions were hard to read, pieces were missing, and finally after many attempts I returned the j stairs and bookshelf because they came with no instructions and were impossible to build. It was unidentifiable which pieces went where. I repackaged the items, they came and picked them up, and promised full reimbursement of those two items. It has now been over a year of calling, emailing, leaving voicemails to no avail. I am still waiting for hundreds of dollars for both items. The bed after building it as they instructed was wobbly. I ended up paying a friend who's a carpenter to secures it and building stairs. I have been patient waiting for my reimbursement but they are thieves and not worth your business. I've never left a review for anyone, so you know I'm beyond my threshold.

Let's start with the misleading website:
"Loft Bed Orders usually ship within 1-2 Weeks. Painted or Stained orders will take a week longer".

How about 6 weeks. I guess I have to account for the fact that they sent the bed to the complete wrong address - in Missouri instead of New Jersey!

Once bed finally arrived, I did not receive ANY hardward. Assembly was, to put it mildly, a bit of a hassle. Also received the wrong size Bunkie board which was another aggravation having to send that back/get correct size. Additionally, there was a missing long support - which made the bed completely unstable. No Safety Rail included either.

Now let's talk stain. Call me a sucker, I went for the $150.00 additional charge for the "Dark Walnut" Stain. What a complete RIP OFF. It looks as though someone barely wiped a light wash across the wood. Does not look AT ALL like the stain selection pictured on the website. Just shameful.

Overall - can't emphasize enough how utterly disappointed I am in this purchase. I do feel like the fool since I spent this much money on a purchase without researching first. Never again. Should have done my homework & read the reviews.

I spent, literally, hours researching bedrooms sets before deciding on one this company offered on their website. It stated it was "in stock." The day after placing my order, I received an email from Eric stating they no longer carried that model. No apology, no "sorry for the inconvenience," nothing. I replied how frustrating that was because I had spent so much time researching and that it made me wary of their company since their website was out of date and inaccurate, and I asked them to cancel my entire order so I could think about it (I had ordered a dresser and trunk as well). Eric replied a confirmation of the cancellation, but again, no acknowledgment of the failure on their part. That settled it for me - I won't buy from a company that doesn't care about wasting people's time. Now after seeing all these reviews, I'm relieved with the way things worked out. Buyer beware!

]the wood was so badly damaged and poorly made, that this is not an acceptable product every piece of wood has cracks or holes or chips in it, the stairs had screw holes in the center of every step. The sides of the stairs were stapled on poorly and are coming off, there were no tracks to open and close drawers. The stain on wood was poorly applied

Don't purchase anything at this site and expect to be treated with any regard! Owner is rude... argumentative and just plain nasty! Fault customer for his On-Line Order process where the site does not process the payment to the bank... but sends out a paid invoice. No follow up on the status and therefore workers aren't reviewing the orders for final shipment. Ask for credit card to be read over the phone when the credit card has previously been submitted. A simply apology for your mistake won't kill you! Treated first time customer the equivalent of garbage. Just awful!

The customer service was polite and accommodating, but I cannot recommend National Home Store to anyone looking for furniture.

1. The packages arrived in torn and damaged boxes, with some pieces of wood splintered. This is where customer service was helpful in getting parts replaced, but

2. The quality of the job was terrible. I had paid for a stain and it was applied absolutely shabbily. I had to smooth the wood down because it was rough and unsanded in places and ended up staining it myself. The wood for the stairs was warped. Holes weren't drilled where they should have been, as per the directions. Considering I had paid over a thousand dollars on this product, I expected to get something I could keep for a long time. Instead, now I have something I'm going to try to sell to the next renter, because that would mean taking apart all of my necessary additional structural reinforcements.

3. After Christmas, NHS dropped the price by 60%: this more accurately reflects the quality and also goes to show that they were trying to make easy money off of the holiday. Well, they successfully took advantage of this new customer who was unaware of the reality of their products.

4. The furniture is not structurally sound. Even if it weren't warped, it would still rock, shudder, and shift due to the design itself. My father had to add a cross bar across the bottom and bolt the stairs to the bed in order to keep it from falling over like Davinci's Cradle.

After these adjustments, I'm now happy with the bed, but I didn't pay for such an extensive DIY project. I'm very disappointed in their product.

I ordered a lofted bed from this company.

The parts came with extremely low quality wood. Some of it cracked trying to put it together.
Everything came in boxes with nothing labeled and the directions were not helpful.
The bed wobbles even after I modified it for more structure.
The stain job is horrible.
The sanding is worse.
Multiple things came without the parts.
The "desk" looked like a nice item online. It came as a plywood slab.
The "J" stairs came with the wrong heights.
It took 6 weeks of regularly checking in and finally threatening the BBB and small claims court to get the items returned. They claimed they didn't do returns for "custom orders," but most of what I was returning wasn't custom. I was returning it because it came such low quality or with the wrong specs.

Don't buy from this company. They may be cheap, but it is worth 3x the price to get decent furniture.

I ordered a loft bed that was very poor quality wood. I added a double bookcase to it, and they didn't ship the right pieces for the bookcase, and the bedposts that the bookcase was supposed to attach to were not cut high enough. There was no way to tell this until I put it together. That was after I painted and sanded it, because as others have sad, it is barely sanded. The owner, Jonah, was very nice to deal with, not rude at all, and agreed to take the bed back. I specifically asked if he would be covering the return postage, and he assured me he would. So after wasting a few weeks of my time and labor, $40 on paint, and 2 hours of a friend's time taking it apart for me and driving it to UPS, and another $78.44 on return shipping, Jonah informed me he never said he would cover the return postage. When I sent him the email showing him what he said, he told me he was already losing money and made a comment on the bed being painted. I sent him pictures of the bed before I decided to return it when I questioned if all the pieces were there, so there should've been no surprise that it was painted. Maybe he thought he could resell it?

My experiece... I got hung up on by the management yet later to find out it was owner. I ordered my bed on12/29/2018 03:57:49 AM It is now Feb 27th and i still have no loft put together. Totally and completely disappointed with the extremely rude customer service. The gentleman I was speaking to asked me what I wanted you to do then rudely interrupted me while I was speaking then proceeded to hang up on! And then my number blocked.

What happened
I received the bed on feb 7th when I received it and it was damaged I called right away. I told the person the pieces that were damaged, gave them the demotions, and they said they would call the warehouse and get them out that day. On that call they asked me to please just send pics of damage so they would have documentation. I sent pics on the 7th. On feb 14 I received an email stating that theyneeded me to send the demotions of pieces needed which I had already spoke with their rep that assured me on the 7th that it was gonna be sent out. 7 days later and my replacement has not been sent out. On feb 22nd I received the other pieces. I called when putting loft together saying that they send the wrong size slats. I called and again your manager assured me that the slats at 60inches would be sent out on Friday the 22nd. On Friday I called leaving a message to call me asap as I wanted you to just order the lumber from a local place as my apt is tiny and I am sleeping on the floor as the loft is up except for my bed being in it. On Saturday the 23rd after calling to see if they can do what I asked I got a hold of what they called manager. As I was telling him what I wanted he was interrupting me and then proceeded to hang up on me. I then called back a few times as I know he is there and getting calls. He then blocked my number. The next day i get an email saying it was actually the owner i was speaking with and he hung up on me.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.
