It's become harder and harder to score points, especially when the links in their e-mail redirects you to the MyPoints site instead of the vendor. They don't bother to respond to questions, either. I've activated MyPoints for some purchases only to never receive confirmation/points. Swagbucks messed them up royally, so much so that I find myself using Rakuten more than MyPoints.

It's not uncommon to take an entire survey and not get paid. Sometimes you can have a half hour invested and it be obvious the survey is complete and you still don't get paid.

Tip for consumers:
You can get gift cards but it’s pretty minimal for the time required

I was kicked out of taking surveys and the site is basically calling me a liar. Last time I checked I am still a female and every time I select that answer I am banned from surveys for an incorrect answer? Cashing out my points after over 10 years and will try to find another site that is actually coherent and can fix issues. Have contacted customer service numerous times and I use that term sarcastically.

Tip for consumers:
Beware of poor customer service and being called a liar.

I have been a customer for 19 years and something or someone must have taken over and the place is going down the toilet. I have been waiting 3 weeks for one redemption for a $25.00 Amazon card. I put in for another smaller card and then closed my account. Customer service is terrible now. You just get an automated reply. It use to be a good site and they took care of their customers. Do not waste your time.

Tip for consumers:
They do not redeem your points in a timely manner at all. Still waiting for 3 weeks to get my ecard for Amazon.

MyPoints has always been good but over the last few years it has really been lacking videos and other fun ways to earn. Also, along with Swagbucks, you can't log in on the apps as it says invalid credentials and along with others has made sure our log in names & passes are indeed correct and CS doesn't help at all. It has become increasingly frustrating with this for a long time now but the regular web page is ok despite no vids. I would really appreciate if the previously mention concerns are fixed however.

I would like to see a daily 5 list that didn't require adding your credit card to shopping list or buying something. The video play list and watch activities bog my computer down so much with cookies it is not worth it. I do like the attempt a survey option as I have a hard time finding surveys I qualify for. I don't like to spend 15 minutes doing a 20 minute survey only to be told I didn't qualify. I also don't do a lot of on line shopping so am unable to earn many points these days. The monthly goals use to be doable but now that the daily 5 is so hard to complete it takes more time to do than it is worth. There are not nearly as many click through emails to make 5 points here and 5 points there as there use to be. I have found other venues recently that pay better and are not as picky on qualifying for surveys. I have been spending more time on some of these recently.

I have been a member of My Points since 2004, and I have gathered up a lot of points to cash in for some great rewards.

Then, several years ago, things started to get worse and worse. The Surveys page, which My Points tries very hard to tout, does not always (make that usually) work. One is supposed to earn 5 points (used to be 10) every time one gets kicked off a survey. I find myself starting, what is shown as a "5 minute survey" only to get kicked off within a few seconds. However, instead of awarding me 5 points, it puts me straight into another one, and another, and another. By the time I get my 5 points, I've completed 5 surveys, 90% towards completion and My Points has all of my information. I've also completed surveys and not earned any points! But try to contact them to dispute this, and you can't! I mean, it takes FOREVER, and if you didn't note the number of the Survey you completed, you're not getting any points.

Final straw for me was when I completed a Survey 4 weeks ago, and it showed that payment of the points would be delayed (60 days, it said). I have been watching the countdown of days for the past 4 weeks until all of a sudden I woke up on Saturday to see that my points were missing, and that there was NO notice of any points due to me. What's more, I'm going around in circles trying to find someone to contact about this, but cannot without the Survey number.

So. I'm done. I'm unsubscribing. After close to 20 years, I'll go find something else to do with my time.

Tip for consumers:
Don't. Unless you like wasting your time!

You took away watching videos/movies, physical gift cards, and other things so it's so hard to get points now, and your surveys are a joke, i've done them and some take 25 minutes or longer, and when i get to the end with honest answers, it says something like sorry you do not qualify for this survey, its just a big waste of my time

This is not going to make you rich but it can buy you a beer now and then. I would feel like a loser if I wasted very much time on the site.

Tip for consumers:
In my opinion it is a waste of time. What I could accomplish if I were not on the site has much more value.

My points is too strict if you mistakenly put a wrong answer. I enjoyed during the surveys because it actually strengthen my memory and thinking after fighting breast cancer and enduring so much chemotherapy which can cause memory issues. However, I use other sites now to earn points and boost my memory

Long time MyPoints member, and I am saddened to see how this site has fallen over the years. They have always been able to devalue what you earn after the fact by simply raising the number of points required for a particular redemption. This is a business model that works great for them, but not so great for their loyal members. I wish I had cashed out years ago, because I can no longer afford the gift card I wanted. Shame on me for not being more vigilant and cashing out sooner. I won't waste my time on this program to have my points devalued again.

It worked fine for a while, but now, OMG. A lot of the times the site does not function so you can earn points. Always have a lot of trouble communicating with Customer Service. This time around whomever replied was not even referring to my issue. After I sent a detailed explanation, AGAIN, they asked for a photo ID and sent me a link for an actual picture of myself. I blocked out my license # so who knows if they will accept my ID. I certainly do not feel comfortable send my picture ID in the first place. Wonder if this has grounds for a class action suit? Anyway, they really have issues with their site as it DOES NOT work well and points are NOT always awarded. And, when you try to get issue resolved one might as well be talking to a brick wall.

At one time I would highly have recommended MyPoints. But lately they haven't been honoring the promises they make in their offers. I'll buy a particular product I'm excited to try after they offer me a set number of points, only to have them later renege without so much as a shrug. My advice is avoid their deals and shopping offers altogether. Stick to their surveys. You won't earn as many points, but they nearly always honor the points offered, you can feel good about giving honest feedback to market research companies and you won't have to constantly go behind them to remind them of the deals they should honor.

Been a member for at least 12 years. At first it was great. Then slowly it got to where it was harder & harder to earn points, took up wayyyyyy too much time, they added too many new regulations, and basically made it too time consuming. I will say I've never had a problem getting my gift cards promptly. But the surveys were one of the few ways I could earn points, then that changed. I NEVER qualify for them anymore, and after spending over 40 minutes every time answering inane, stupid questions that have been asked over & over in nearly every survey, I'd suddenly not qualify. Sometimes I would get 5 points for it but that's hardly worth the time spent. The Ipsos interactive surveys are the worst, and I won't even do them because you don't even get the five points for trying.
Recently it seems swagbucks & mypoints have merged. No notice to the members that I know of. All I know is that since they revamped the website, offers that don't expire for 7 days come up as expired & I get nothing for clicking on them. I can't watch videos because of my crappy internet service so I don't get those points (which also seem hardly worth the time it takes), the website often won't open an offer because the browser will say the site or the connection is insecure, which is never a good thing. When I've needed to contact customer service I was lucky enough to get good service once. After that it was mostly canned responses or promises to do something and not following through on the issue. So, I recently cashed in my points, and am going to delete my account and look for a better program. Mypoints has become a huge waste of time, it takes four times longer to try & accumulate points, if your points aren't credited, too bad, because they won't do anything about it.

I don't recommend MyPoints unless you like being ignored, having your time wasted, waiting 18-24 months to accumulate enough points for a gift card with more than ten bucks on it, and going to a website that has become dysfunctional.

I miss getting 10 points if I don't qualify for a survey, especially when I spend quite a while trying to do it only to get a response telling me I don't qualify. It's really annoying and unfair. Sometimes I believe that my surveys take advantage of the information I provide when I spend time doing them without giving us the points we deserve to do them. Several times I've gone through an entire survey, then some technical clich would happen and didn't get any of the points I deserved. These problems have discouraged me from doing them again. I don't want to waste my time and honest, thoughtful responses and not get anything for them.

Seniors, did you ever try to get Survey Points and find you don't meet the criteria or just plain get bumped off the site due to a technical error. Could it be they are discriminating to older adults, or this a valid action. Makes you wonder!

This was once one of the best "points for clicks" sites out there, despite its total absence of customer service. Contact with MyPoints only consists of standard replies which are clearly computer generated, as they're never quite on topic. But, hey, it's free and you could rack up a lot of points, so a few glitches or whatever were acceptable.

The site has changed quite a bit, though, over the years. Points are scarcer and mistakes are frequent. About the third time you've done twenty minutes of a survey and don't even get the participation points, you'll be over it. Not to mention promised points that don't get added and a survey site that will glitch so badly as to get kicked off the browser.

I'm not dropping this site, as I'm willing to settle for less than half the rewards I used to get, and I'm patient. I'd not recommend you bother with this one if you're just starting, however. Many other sites are much better.

The site is just mediocre. I hate that they give you so few points when you make a purchase and the surveys they have are horribly long... way too long so I don't bother.

It's too bad as this site used to be really great!

Points are so low that it is not worth your time, search engine sucks since it takes 100's of searches to earn a few points, surveys con't get credited alot of times, also shopping points don't get credited, when you complain to customer service, they never answer you. I have been a member for over 10 years but i am about to call it quits because they have gone downhill ALOT in past months!

I don't the lack of efficiency the surveys have. For example I keep getting screens that will say, "Congrats you qualify for our survey! Please proceed." So I do proceed and the very next screen says, "Sorry this wasn't a match blah blah". That is BEYOND frustrating when 90% of the surveys I try to take say that immediately after I do qualify! There were even times when I was 10-15 minutes into a survey, answering legit questions about electronics that I own and use when suddenly it dropped me out saying I didn't qualify even though I was told in the very beginning that I did. And no... I wasn't speeding through answering willy-nilly without reading their trick questions. *SIGH* I'll just scrape together what points I have earned and not come back because this is wasting my time.

But when we're selling our info to their partners, I would like a cut as big as before they sold out to Swagbucks! I've tried SB, and there is a reason I abandoned them in favor of using only Mypoints. Before the sell-out, the Search and Earn garnered me at least 200 points a month... now I'm lucky to get 9 a week. The rewards for redemption went up, and the points available to earn plummeted. Emails used to be a few a day with some of them 10 points (the Best Buy weekly ad!), now one or two a day for 5. Surveys are capped... yes, there are more, but you can only do a set small number a day before you don't earn points and the surveys disappear. Overall, this is just another SB failure, they took a great company I loved shopping and searching through for the past 11 years, and made it a time-consuming, low-rewards mess.

Many merchants will not except your e-gift cards and it has to be a physical gift card. If you offer that option it costs many more points or you don't offer physical cards at all. I stopped doing the Daily 5 because you never credited my points properly. The surveys are impossible to complete and get points so I stopped doing them as well. What used to be a great website is a C- website now. It would be great if you went back to doing things the way you used to. One more thing, you know longer give a point in the Daily 5 for completing the daily survey. Another reason I stopped the Daily 5.

I have found that I am being kicked out of surveys more and more, well past the 1/2 way point. When I complained about this I was told, "MyPoints surveys are hosted by survey partners and as such MyPoints has little control over the experience."
The upshot is that if you are working on a survey and you get kicked off you will get NO support from my points. To bad, I used to like doing these surveys.
