MyHeritage has clean, well-organized software that is easy to use. It makes searching for your ancestors rewarding and straightforward. It encourages further research and accomplishment by the user. I love it and have made it my #1 site where I do my genealogy! Thank you, MyHeritage!
Easy to understand and use even if you are not a specialist in computing and ancester research.
I had no experience building a family tree. I found MyHeritage very helpful and responsive if I ran into problems, but that didn't even happen often. Excellent site to preserve family history for future generations.
Easy to collect data from the past from many sources creating a fenominal picture of your ancestors.
Has created new connections to my relatives and I have even found some new ones..
A very proactive and intuitive website. It's a shame all the extras are so costly.
Very easy to research, and a way of meeting unknown relatives. Help only a phone call away
If you are unable to follow the help e:mails.
I like using MyHeritage. There is much useful information about my ancestors to be found here. Often this information is not found on other websites. I also like the connection with Geni.
A couple of things that could be improved.
- I am not sure if it is possible toe easily merge duplicate profiles. Is is certainly not intuitive.
- DNA matches shared are only low centigram matches, very distant possible cousins. I have not found them useful for the most part.
After spending far too long and much frustration with another service/site, I am so happy to have joined My Heritage. A number of people in my genealogy group use this and it is easy to see why. I str8bgkt recommend it,
It can take a while to get used to all the intricacies of the site, but once that hurdle is dealt with you will find a wealth of information out there. The entries are stored in a fashion that is easy to follow, and allows for updates as further information becomes available. The record matches are the more reliable information.the smart matches can be helpful, but are not necessarily accurate as it is someone else's research and may not be as rigorous as your own. Be careful to check their dates. You can end up having an ancestor who dies before they are born.
All,round I have been extremely happy with other the programme and the backup from the company.
MyHeritage is absolutely the best platform for anyone interested in genealogy and DNA research. Their extensive database makes it easy to find relatives and uncover family history. The family tree-building tools are intuitive and incredibly useful, while the DNA test results provide fascinating insights into ancestry.
Additionally, their customer service deserves the highest praise – every inquiry is handled professionally and seriously, with a team that is always ready to help. Support is fast, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about customer satisfaction. If you're looking for the best genealogy service, MyHeritage is unbeatable!
I have used different genealogy services but in my experience, MyHeritage is the best. Their records are extensive, their automatic match finders are very helpful, their autosomal DNA features are the best available, and the company is exceptionally innovative, regularly coming out with new features. Other companies have their good points but if I could only choose one provider, it would definately be Myheritage.
This is a great company who I have been with for some years. My experience with them has always been very positive. Their support team has always been first rate. I highly recommend them.
I have received many emails altering me of hints, new information about different individuals, as well as notifications of birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Their site is easy to navigate and to find information.
A good source if you want to see your connections with all your relatives in all directions. If you are focused, for example, on only earlier Scottish connections, you may get overwhelmed with information coming mostly from the U.S. But you can learn how to weed this out.
Learned a lot about my ancestors. Family tree is easy to navigate. To fully utilize the website, you have to upgrade.
My wife accidentally pressed the wrong button and was charged for something she didn't want. We met a very forthcoming woman on the support phone who fully understood the situation and resolved the matter in a short time. To day we received the total amount and we are very happy with the help we got.
I love history. So why not try to find out my family's history.Where we come from. My Heritage is a great tool to find that out. Who your ancestors are and your distant relatives. It is a great hobby you can pursue rain or shine. Sincerely: Taco. P.L Wijthoff
The many sources of historical records make researching my family's ancestry so much easier and enjoyable. I am currently approaching 2700 relatives spanning 8 generations, many interesting facts have come to light.
Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
