Fungerar bra för mig just nu med hjälpen jag fick
I went through the process several times to receive notifications for family events.birthdays, anniversaries, etc. But it did not work and still not receiving. Settings, preferences, and checked off the options. Need an intervention at your end.
This is such a great site for family history research. I love receiving hints from other users' family trees who are related to me, even if it's a far distant relationship. It all helps to fill in the gaps in my own knowledge. It's fabulous to see my tree growing so many branches!
I enjoy spending hours sifting through many the suggested members of my ancestors. It keeps me off other social media sites, lol. Over a few years I have grown my family tree to be many thousands of people now.
Easy to set up your family tree and plenty of matches arrive via email, not always connected to your family so you have to be a little careful. Certainly helped me grow my tree, expanding every day with new far distant relatives.
Some of the screens don't totally load large enough to see them. One can not expand the margins either. And the family tree options are tad frustrating. The fan option with the hand...awful, that grab and release is annoying. I find clicking on the BACK arrow does not take me to the previous screen, but another screen. I would like to be able to move between screens without having to start the 'selected option', all over again.
Since joining My Heritage, the information I have obtained regarding my past family members and ancestry has been more than I could have imagined going back almost 30 generations. Even though it can be addictive, it is also most rewarding and valuable for future interested generations to have at hand and explore..
Thanks to the information on MyHeritage, I was able to thoroughly research my maternal family history. I have been doing research with MyHeritage for over 2 years, it has been a wonderful period full of discoveries. Professional data, contact with people researching their roots from practically all over the world, the database is constantly updated.
My DNA had very strange results, at odds with my 40 years of research. To help me, Myheritage gave DNA tests to my half brother and children. Once the results arrived, knowing how stressed I was, they contacted me, helped find my birth father's family, and paid for me to meet my unexpected family.I can't set date below but it was around 2018.
MyHeritage was a real discovery for me! I took a DNA test and learned so much about my origins — some results were truly surprising. Thanks to the service, I found relatives I had never heard of before and even saw rare photos of my ancestors. It was a very interesting and heartwarming experience that brought me closer to my roots. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about their family.
In a nutshell, it works well. Value for money, maybe a 7 out of 10, after a while I found I would need additional add ons like Newspapers to get the full picture which incur extra fee's. To create the basic tree My Heritage works very well, to add all the leaves takes much longer and needs more $$$ spent. Starting from scratch the building of a family tree can be a rewarding experience, as you get deeply involved this site has some limitations, still I consider it a useful site to be connected with.
I have the following problems: In family trees, there are for example two (or more) different dates of birth/marriages or deaths. It's not possible to enter them into the family tree until they are verified in the registry record.
In the case of additional children and siblings that I don't want to include further in the family tree, I miss the option to mention them in a note, so that they would be visible but not subject to Smart/Record Matches searches.
If I make a mistake by accident and assign a person to someone else or if some person is accidentally listed twice, then it's very difficult to fix this error.
MyHeritage is a wonderful experience. I like the weekly suggestions with newspapers, finds, and etc. Sometimes they come faster than I have the time to look at all of them, but when I get a chance the hints are helpful and appreciated.
I've been with My Heritage for a while now and enjoy the looking through the helpful hints they send me. This has helped me yo follow one branch of my tree to 1520. And other branches I hadn't realised, like a French ancestors family before he came to marry a Yorkshire lass and make England his home.
I think the title speaks for itself. What could you offer costumers like me who have reached their personal goal with the family tree. My current premium package is far too expensive to just maintain what you have fulfilled.
I've gotten matches and documents from My Heritage that I haven't been able to get from some of the other apps that I used. Especially dealing with Maryland records such as birth, marriage, and death. I was extremely surprised to find birth records for some of my family members that midwives were present at the birth giving me another surname that is in my genealogy tree
It's easy to use. The interface is welcoming. My favourite functions are:
- Theory of Relativity - it helps me see potential whakapapa lines that would take me months to break
- Adding family members is easy on laptop and my mobile phone
- The records and grave information - soo good
-being able to read digital images and zoom in and out. High quality images
My Heritage has been a great resource in completing our family history. It has been a wonderful resource for locating information on extended members of our families. The regular emails on searches also, whilst containing new information, act as a stimulus to get active again.
Fun discovering new relatives. Growing up although some of the persons were around, we had no idea we were related. Discovering my grandfather having the name McDougall, it took us a while to find out that his mother never gave him the name of his father that was Rigg, but she gave him her father's name McDougall. A surprise.
I wanted to merge two large trees on My heritage. Instead I have ended up with 2 large and 2 small.
Yes they are all trees I had created over the years but now I keep getting hints for the older smaller ones which Zi don't want.
Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
