I had an issue with a file I could not find after not using the software for some years. The support service has been great trying to help in every possible way. Even if the lost file could'nt be found, I have been satisfied by the involvement of the the three persons that handled my issue. They also offered a free backup service as a compensation. Greatly satisfying support service.
I could not access my family tree which I started several years ago. I left a message and was contacted from customer service by AARON who very patiently and politely tried every possibility until he managed to find out my business email address which I had used upon establishing my account with My heritage. That email does not exist anymore. Unless AARON's kind assistance, the tree would have been lost. Many thanks!
Purchased 3 DNA kits 6 months ago. Took the samples and posted them back, and... nothing. Got no info back and impossible to contact them. Emails bounce back. Calls to their listed numbers fail. Thieves without a doubt
After a few consulting questions, not only the problem with the mixed picture was resolved, but also a newer version of the Family Tree Builder was recommend and sufficient instructions were provided to prevent the error from re-occurring and should this happen I am can now simply repair that

The site has lots of pluses, but a few irritants as well. After several tries at support I found courtesy and good intentions, but I didn't get the answer that worked until my 3rd or 4th try. Also it is frustratingly difficult to extend known lines of descent.
However MyHeritage has superb tools for finding links to possible relatives and for getting in touch with whoever posted given information.

I want to make everyone aware of what a great service Hertiage.com performs. My sister and I did DNA tests through Heritage, hoping to find out more about our background and who we were. However more importantly, we had been involved in a lifelong search for our sister Eva, who our Mother got separated from during the Holocaust. She was 2 so it was doubtful that she would know her name. We tried everything humanly possible to find her. We got a match, a DNA match that could not be ignored. We found our sister and her family. We took this match to Heritages team, we were lucky enough ro find Sophie and Nitay on the team These two are so compassionate and caring I am so honored to know them. They are such a valuable asset to Heritage. Thank you Heritage and Thank you Nitay and Sophie We will never forget what you have done for us.

MyHeritage has enabled me to go as far back as 870 A. D./C. E. I enrolled in two different DNA sites (one that goes 10s to 100s of thousands years in the past BY DNA) and MyHeritage. Both concluded that I was not as "Irish" as I thought. I had been going off of recent name only. With all the wars that occurred in Europe over the years, it would be hard to determine country heritage since even the boundaries and countries have changed often. I have been please with MyHeritage and even upgraded my account. PERSONALLY I ran into a problem with the "health" aspect because of trying to activate the health portion. I have had many relatives die from cancer, which included my father. To activate my health portion, I needed to list what kind of cancer to continue. My father died from colon cancer but for my uncles and aunts, their cancers weren't listed and I couldn't continue with the activation. I would have given a higher rating except for the problem I had with the health aspect.
I needed to find my great grandparents & so on, on paternal & maternall side! My Great Grandfather Duvid was the Kosher Butcher in Poland before being murdered in The Holcaust! My father Fiszel was The Longest Recorded Survivor of The Holocaust in The World having taken his father's place on The Transport List in! 940! I was on BBC1 talking about him & the demise of his Family.My mum's parents came over from Poland to escape The Pogroms & my eldest Aunt was born in London in 1914! Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team (support@myheritage.com).

They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to support@myheritage.com and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
