I've been a subscriber to My Heritage for several years now, since I had my DNA done & a friend who also did that discovered that she was half Spanish. Since that time not only have I traced my family tree back some way, but we've been able to trace both her birth parents trees (she was adopted at birth) back & have discovered not only her English Mother but her Spanish Father as well. My Heritage seems to be better at tracing Spanish records than other Ancestry websites so very pleased with the site.

Contacted customer service to update payment information. Agent kept trying to get me t purchase an extension to my subscription at a reduced rate. I'm not due t renew until next August. The agent said that he could not change my credit card information without changing the terms of my subscription. The only solution is too wait until next August when it comes up for renewal. I will do that and may not renew.
A better solution would be a simple page on the website that will allow a change of payment details directly instead of forcing the customer to be open it these high pressure sales tactics when trying to make a simple change.

Neste mesmo dia, cancelei os serviços que iriam se iniciar, ou seja, não usei. Passei um e-mail com o comporvante de cancelamento. Em 29/09/25 o Alejandro, pessoa responsável na My Heritage me ligou e expliquei p motivo - preciso deste valor, pois meu cão está com câncer e tenho tido inúmeras despesas. Ele, muito atencioso, disse que me devolveriam o valor e que isto iria se providenciado com rapidez. Paguei a fatura do cartão, ou seja, paguei o valor e até hoje não recebi meu reembolso. Tenho passado e-mails informando isso - não recebi meu reembolso. Daí ontem o Nick quer começar o assunto todos de novo - quer meu telefone para eu contar tudo de novo. Então respondi ´para ele isso - que já fizeram contato comigo me dizendo que iriam me devolver o valor e que é só isso que eu quero. Então estou bem descontente com esta falta de cordenação entre que me atendeu e o ´pessoal do finaceiro do My Heritage e mais ainda porque não existe um histórico na minha conta, pois estão querendo que eu comente de novo o assunto com um novo atendente.

Not knowing where I came from was a real worry for me. It was kept from me most of my entire life. I had a suspicion who my biological father might have been but nothing really to substantiate it. I took a DNA test not really thinking that it would help but hopeful that it would. Now, I am so excited because my father's family name is very much present in my DNA results. I now know who made me. Although he has been gone many years the facts that have been revealed have filled a void in my life.
Myheritage is a very helpfull tool, when you are seeking family all round the globe.
Through DNA test I found a unknown nephew, and a unknown halfbrother, that had passed away.
Habe durch My Heritage viele Infos zu meiner Familien Geschichte Gefunden. Leider nicht so viel wie ich es mir gewünscht hätte. Dies liegt aber an manchen Vorschriften zum Datenschutz. Der Gen Test ist zu empfehlen genau wie die Fotobearbeitung.

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team (support@myheritage.com).

They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to support@myheritage.com and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
