Horrible company

Absolutely horrible company to deal with. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. I received a damaged product and after three weeks they still havent resolved the issue. They will blame the seller and take no responsibility, take ages to reply to emails and have no concern for their customers. Unfortunately I will have no option but to go to consumer affairs and VCAT to try and get it resolved.

VERY CONCERNING CONDUCT
February 11, 2022

I purchased a puzzle through My Deal, believing at the time that I was buying it directly from them. It wasn't until later, when there was a problem, that I realised the item I bought, came from a third party seller. That wouldn't normally cause a problem for me, but when the puzzle arrived to me damaged due to poor packaging, I followed My Deal's process to request a replacement or refund. That was four weeks ago, and I haven't had any resolve to my issue, and haven't received a replacement or a refund, despite numerous attempts. I then did some research into the store the puzzle was being sold by (Get Puzzled), and they appeared to have a lot of complaints from previous customers, so I let My Deal know of my concerns about them, but again, heard nothing back. This company appears to be very, very dodgy, and I would warn anyone thinking about purchasing anything through this website, to definitely think again. It's just not worth the risk. Do your research first at least, to be safe - there's so much public information about companies, businesses and websites that's all free, quick and easy to access online, so do your research first to protect yourself and your rights.

I bought a scandinavian retro chair for $431. You have to assemble the legs yourself by screwing in a sturdy looking 2 screws into each corner of the chair. What you don't see is under the fabric the frame that the legs are attached to is thin plywood that is stapled together. One leg collapsed when my 14 year old daughter was sitting in it hurting herself in the process. After having a look underneath the fabric at the broken frame, there was only one staple holding one side of the frame together. Stephanie from My Deal says the supplier doesn't believe my daughter was sitting in it and says she must've been rocking in the chair (which you can't do because the legs angle outwards) or pushing it back with force, which she was absolutely not doing, and that therefore I don't get a refund. What recourse do you have when a supplier flips you off like that and blames you when it's clearly because the construction is poor quality
I also at the same time bought a "high density" rug which I vacuum up about 10% of the rug every week because the tufts continuously come out of the base and the rug is now "balding"
The 3rd purchase around the same time was a dog bed where the canvas was a large size and the bent frames were for a medium size. I was sent a replacement but the frames bend easily so the bed doesn't sit level and my dogs are not interested in sitting on it

Hello, I have had great customer satisfaction from My Deal in the past but currently having issue with the return of a pool cleaner that keeps getting stuck on the steps. Having had my pool guy come out and adjust the weights and no change I asked My Deal if I could return the product (at no cost to myself) which clearly is not fit for purpose at least in my pool and get a store credit so I could buy a better more expensive robot pool cleaner from them. They originally said that I could get a store credit but would have to wear the return postage and a stocking fee, however I did not accept this as appropriate given the product was clearly not doing what it should be doing. I then made a video of it getting stuck and explained the situation in good faith but have been consistently stonewalled by the so called customer service team who seem to only look at the previous email so I have to keep drawing their attention to what has already been tried and discussed. The run around Ive had is truly frustrating and very disappointing so 0 out of 10 on this one for me...

Nowhere to be found...

Ordered Covid washable facemasks (3) - expected a delay in delivery due stage 4 shutdown - but this is unbelievable! - despatch was due 2-14 days! - been waiting 21 days! - STILL NOT DESPATCHED! - probably won't need them when they arrive! Tried customer service - stated l would receive a reply in approx 2 days - THAT WAS 8 DAYS AGO! - DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE CLOWNS!

The first time we used MyDeal the sofa arrived ok (Melburnian Furniture). All good. Unfortunately, with the second item ordered I have had to CANCEL and seek REFUND as the Courier kept "No Showing" after requesting and agreeing to a date. Twice Delivery lifts times were booked.
Very disappointing- as had to come into CBD from being on holiday in the country! - and TWICE Courier a "NO SHOW" and with NO communication from Hunter Courier Co at all. Not good enough at all.

One purchase on MyDeal gets you inundated with unsolicited ads and referred sites through Messages that will drive you INSANE!

We ordered Kasa outdoor storage bench for $188 from My deal after carefully examining all the dimensions and photos on the website. When product arrived its depth was a full 150 mm less. The hinges shown in the photos weren't there at all. The way all the parts were connected was so different that it made the storage compartment half of what it was shown to be. We wrote to My deal immediately to return the product and packed it in its original packing.
They got us in touch with the manufacturer over email and asked us to directly communicate with them about the problem. It has been several days of back and forth emails. We have have sent them all the photos and dimensions and every single email asks us the same question. What is the issue with the product? We are fed up now and need a quick resolution and planning to approach the consumer court if the product is not picked up and refunded. Please be very wary when ordering from this website. After writing reviews the company got in touch with us but they haven't done anything to resolve the issue. It has been over 20 days and we are now registering a case with fair trading.

Beware of this company and it's pathetic service and the suppliers who are even worse than MyDeal themselves. Go elsewhere and be warned, that alot of what they offer is from China, with instructions in Chinese and with Chinese powerpoints, making them useless. Then you will wait months, if it actually gets resolved at all. I bought some in Oct 2019 and still waiting for a full refund. MyDeal guaratee refunds and will process within 2 business days. YEAH RIGHT WHAT A LOAD LIES!

Do not buy from this website! It is a scam and the products are counterfeit.
On top of that they refuse to refund!
I purchased a brand new "Genuine" Apple Lightening Charger, it arrived and is clearly a fake.
The serial number doesn't match the box, all the Apple security seals were removed and the box was sliced open and the cord wasn't even inside the box.
I reported this and have sent photos - The seller refuses to refund even though they have admitted tampering with the box, so I escalated the matter to My Deal, which is an option on their website.
My Deal has been nothing short of useless! They have provided no assistance, continually try to get me to pay out of my pocket to send the item back, lie that they haven't received the information they need from me when they have already confirmed receiving it, don't respond for days, try to tell you to deal directly with the seller even after escalating the matter to them and hang up when you call them.
They are just as bad as the scam sellers they allow on their site - who by the way they refuse to take down even when proven to sell. Counterfeit items.
All over their website states "Refund Guarantee" and "Quick Refunds" - don't believe any of it! It's all lies and part of their scam.
The so called "Customer Service" staff are all a joke and wouldn't know what service is.
I will be reporting them for the scammers they are.
Warning to anyone thinking of buying from this site - DON'T! You will lose your money!
