I have a bag of unused Coke Rewards points. They are so "valuable" that I couldn't even give them away on Craig's list.
Ask any Coca-Cola representative that has any say on the new My Coke Rewards program why they changed to the new rewards system, and they'll all say "it's what the customers wanted"... But ask any Coca-Cola fans that loved the older rewards program, and you won't find one single customer that even asked for such a decline! If you have an issue or complaint and try to take it up with any Coca-Cola representative, rather than listen to the feedback on the new rewards system, they keep trying to bend over backwards to convince everyone "it's what everyone was wanting, and we hope you enjoy the new rewards system", thus completely forcing themselves to be oblivious to any and all complaints or valuable feedback from Coca-Cola fans. This new rewards program sucks, it's all about contests nobody is going to ever win, donations to give your points away to charity (which I don't even believe it's of any help either... after all, they lie to the customers about how "wonderful" this new rewards system is, they can easily lie and say that your coke points are going toward donations for your local schools.) I used to save up every Coca-Cola code I got to apply toward Amazon credit. Now I couldn't care less! Coca-Cola does not listen to any feedback whatsoever, they have automated and inaccurate responses whenever you voice your concerns on their Facebook page, and furthermore, they certainly don't care what you think about the new rewards system, so why should we care to continue supporting them? Do yourself a favor and don't clutter your living space with useless Coke points. You're not going to get any reward out of them anymore.
Talk about a devaluation of a rewards program--even worse than the airlines. Coke has now left quite a bitter taste in my mouth...
I have three plastic bottle caps and every one of them states there is an error. I tried several times but just kept getting an error. CokeRewards website won't even publish a contact telephone, so had to do research. Finally got hold of an agent (with an Indian accent) and credited me two caps (6points) and told me the rest I have to mail it in. I asked if she's kidding... for a mere 3 points, she wants me to pay postage and send it to Coke HQ, just because their system is bogus (and not the first time this has happened).
And the useless/cheap items you can select... see it to believe! AND you will notice, most solicitations for redemptions are "for a good cause" or charity. MCR wants you to donate your hard-earned points to the charities they sponsor! I have my own charitable institutions I support. All these bogus programs are just for suckers. AND LOSERS! I am through---MY FAMILY WILL NOW BOYCOTT ALL COKE PRODUCTS. And I am even going to convince my company to drop COKE from their beverage purchases.
I loved the old program. This one is beyond terrible. I thought it might get better, but I don't see it happening. I'll be drinking more Dr. Pepper!
The new Coke website is such a disappointment. Thanks for getting everyone all excited in January with all the "wonderful changes and improvements" coming in July. Coke did not make it clear that we should not discard any code caps after mycokerewards ended. I thought the program was coming to an end and that any remaining codes would be useless. Just like when they stopped accepting 13 digit codes and moved to 14 digit codes, I was expecting something newer and easier. Wrong! I told a few people who collect codes that the program was ending and they threw away 100's of codes! Why did you not tell us to hold onto codes so they could be entered on the new site? Plus, nowhere on the new site, except for the FAQs, can one even make sense of the so-called new changes. The new rewards system is a joke, once you figure it out. They want you to buy other Coke brands, like Mello Yello to enter some sweepstakes. Or they require a 12 pak code for other rewards, so forget it if you don't drink out of aluminum cans. As a matter of fact, there are only a few "awful" rewards being offered right now. The rewards have been trimmed down. The worst part has to be the fact that you don't keep a running tally of your coke points any longer. No, you have to hold on to caps and wait for a decent reward to enter the caps. Who knows how long you will have to keep the plastic trash around before you can enter them and discard them. You should've consulted with your "loyal" customers before making such fruitless changes. Do a trial run before introducing a dud site. Not only that, did anyone out there ever win anything from their reward program? I doubt it.
Terrible, F! This new "rewards" program is the WORST loyalty program ever created! Back to Pepsi I go...
Rewards program gone and there is not a replacement. Entering in codes so coke can donate money and take the public and tax credit? Bwahahahahaha
Dasani water is bottled by the Coca Cola Company.
Besides, water is better for us to drink. Coke Rewards has turned into a pathetic program.
Why is this new coke program
1) so difficult to use.
2) lacks reward benefits and prizes
3) can only use certain coke products for certain rewards
Not save and switch to Pepsi as I think I like it better. Guess it was costing to much money for Coke to keep up but maybe more in the end?
No selection... no value... no incentive... waste of time... gives the coke product families a bad name and bad reputation.
Used to strictly buy Powerade. Buy more gatorade and other drinks now. Sorry Coke you blew it New Coke all over again Marketing nightmare
This "new and improved" program sucks... gonna eff. The whole thing and just buy the generic version at least that way I save money..
What a total waste of EVERYONE'S time this new system is! My wife and I used to love looking at all the things we could get for our hard-earned points. Then, all of a sudden, we were told we had to redeem them all by a certain date because "a new Coke Rewards program was coming and it will be even more fun than before!" I should have known this was a crappy cheap sales pitch by Coke when they didn't offer ANY details about it. When the new program came on board, I was like "wait, am I not doing this right? How do I get points?" I realized soon that it wasn't me - YOU CANNOT ACCUMULATE POINTS ANYMORE! Instead, you can either enter lame sweepstakes for things that we know NOBODY is going to win, or "share" your points, or make "gifts". How can Coke call this a "rewards" program? You don't get rewarded unless you win, and the odds are really against you. Why did Coke do this? Anybody with half a brain in their marketing department should have said "hmmm, a lot of people are not going to be happy with this new system". Well, ADD ME TO THE G-D LIST!
How in the WORLD did Coke think that doing this would NOT have HUGE levels of negative repurcussions? Did they think people would just be like "oh wow, I get to waste my points now, YIPPEE!?" IDIOTS!
I'm done with Coke products. We drink Pepsi now!
I love this website personally because I drink a lot of coke products and i can get rewards for doing so.
Mycokerewards WAS a great reward system. What they are doing now is a joke. I buy way less coke now.
Your new coke rewards program is horrible! Please go back to old program with an easier way to enter codes
Answer: I still buy Coke products... but I've starting buying other brands and now split my Coke product purchases by 50%! If more customers did that, maybe Coke will wonder where their fizz went.
Answer: I'm not sure. I know prior to the change I was getting a lot of emails announcing they were updating the program with new rewards, etc. it seems like they either upped the points on my favorite rewards and/or put more restrictions on point submissions. "Update" seemed to actually mean "downgrade" the program.
Answer: They're arrogant and think that they are too big to fail.
MyCokeRewards has a rating of 1.6 stars from 386 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with MyCokeRewards most frequently mention new program, coca cola and gift cards. MyCokeRewards ranks 11th among Sweepstakes sites.
