If you want a heating engineer, look no further than NG Heating Services. They diagnosed my water problem which no-one else had been able to do, researched the best water softener for my circumstances and fitted it efficiently. Charles and his colleague arrived promptly and could not be faulted for efficiency, charm and friendliness. There was a small leak subsequently and this was dealt with within 2 days.

In our opinion and the information we have collated, MyBuilder website do little if anything to check out the Traders that they charge for using their website. And whilst with everything, there are genuine people and tradesmen out there, there are also those who are most definitely not. We have encountered a really poor bathroom/kitchen fitter from Abingdon, who is bankrupt, did not turn up, did not finish the job ect. However, as the Tradesman can put his advert on, do a couple of jobs and take the advert down, you are not able to leave a review, thus accurate records are not evident. The Tradesman can then, just re-open his account a few weeks later, and all previous feedback is closed. Take care

No quality control on tradesmen. They do no checks on tradesmen. Anyone can join. In my case they said they can't even contact the tradesman who has left the with half done and never returned. Later I found the tradesman had bailiffs and police after him. My Builder washed their hands off and took no responsibility. This is what they wrote:

"They are not our client, they are a member of MyBuilder, we provide them with a service. You are their customer and they should be addressing your complaint. I'm very sorry but I will have to close this case".

Joined as a trader, getting leads but they go out to all tradesmen and to many get shortlisted, they take about £250 for a loft project and no one get the job, client can list bogus projects or just list for a quotation without even wanting the works done, the only one that earns from it is my builder. Absolute bad management, rip off company. Even after my account is restricted they still allow client to shortlist you and charge you approx £50 a time. Absolute joke. There are much better company's out there. Watchdog need to investigate.

I have been a member for 12 months and I can honestly say that my builder is a complete rip off and the only ones making money is them, you will often get shortlisted then charged and no contact from the job poster or a nice message to say sorry we have sorted the job now and you won't even get to price the job, its about time my builder was shut down and sued for making fictional customers, really bad company, please stay well away

Excellent site. As landlords we often need assistance very quickly, MyBuilder has been wonderful at getting a response from builders to jobs without the time consuming effort of looking through pages and pages of tradesmen, not knowing what they are like. The feedback reviews are priceless.

Posted an urgent cry for help for a gas engineer after my dad accidently drilled a hole in the gas pipe within 10 minutes I got the response I needed from Phil Johnson Gas Engineers. He came out early next morning got it sorted re-plastered over the tiles he had to remove and isolated my dad's fire as he noticed there was a gas leak on that too! (no extra charge) 100% recommend this guy

An excellent site well mapped out and a hassle free way of sourcing quality trades people, you can see genuine feedback from other people who have used the trade men which is very helpful when making your decision
We have been doing a number of jobs to our home and on all occasions have found the whole experience faultless i would not hesitate in recommending friends and family to the site and also any trade men that i know i will send the link for them to sign up

Although the start of the contract was delayed, due to an over run of the job before, Steve from AGH Plastering kept us informed, turned up early the following day, and worked through. The walls were very dry and sucking the water out of the plaster, making the job more difficult for Steve and his team. But nothing phased them. Within 2.5 days we had three rooms re plastered and all cleaning up done. Very pleased with the quality of the work, their professionalism, and their friendliness. Will keep a note of their number, if I ever need another plastering job done, they will be top of my list.
