We have had our account with my builder for almost a year and during this time we have had been shortlisted and charged for jobs that apparently had been taken off within hours of us being shortlisted so we were unable to even contact customers. They still charged the full amount even though we didn't get the opportunity to quote.

Worse still and we had a customer that we refused to work for because of her abusive behavior regarding her posted job. Basically this woman insisted that we do work to her landlords house without his permission and when we refused without written permission she became very angry and so refused to do the work. We hadn't even done any work for this woman and had no intentions of doing so. This woman even sent us an email to say that if we did not do her work as soon as possible she would go onto the my builder site and give us negative feedback. We refused to give into blackmail, however, this woman clicked on the 'your hired' button, despite knowing we would not work for her, and proceeded to trash us. She said we had let her down and that she had had to wait months! None of this was true, she was angry and vengeful because we refused to give into blackmail.

Despite the fact that she could prove no evidence to my builder that we had ever agreed to her work, and we could provide evidence to my builder with the email she sent blackmailing us into trying to do her work, they refused to take this womans lies off our feedback. Our feedback has dropped for 100% to 90% because of this.

So basically if I was a rival carpentry firm I could set any poor tradesman up by positing a fake job, clicking on the hire button and then leave defamatory lies about any aspect of their service and my builder would not do anything to protect us. They'll take tradesman hard earned money but they won't protect you from any sort of slander from any customer even when you can prove that you have been treated badly and blackmailed by the customer, how can anyone even post feedback when you haven't done any work for them... this obviously means that any one who is in the slightest bit disgruntled with maybe your quote, your van, your smile etc etc... can post filthy damaging lies on the my builder site and that won't give a crap as long as they are taking your money!

Customer services... what's that with this company, They would be as well to remember why they are able to exist in the first place... it's because people like us, hard working conscientious tradespeople pay them a lot of money every day just to be treated so badly... This company has no respect for the people who pay their wages

I do not recommend anyone to use Neil Mclaren of MPH Plumbing & Heating based in Bury St Edmunds to carry out work.
Neil Mclaren of MPH plumbing and Heating is found on MyBuilder and gives all plumbers a bad name with his con man activities. This person could be classified along with common criminals.

I don't wish anyone to have to deal with the situation I have where Neil Mclaren MPH plumbing and Heating Bury St Edmunds has taken my money provided sub standard service then delayed his return to complete work then never returned leaving me with no water, Heating or toilet facilities and setting back my project by months as well as further knock on costs.

Neil Mclaren MPH plumbing and Heating Bury St Edmunds refused to finish the work having installed some first fix pipework that does not comply to building regulations due to it not being insulated.
Neil damaged new electrical wiring installation and told my electrician not to tell me about it, which is very dishonest.

Neil Mclaren MPH plumbing and Heating did not deliver materials to my premises like my boiler, radiators, thermostats, all high value items that I have paid him money for and he said he had ordered and paid for with my 50% deposit.

Neil Mclaren MPH plumbing and Heating delayed his return to finish the job laying blame on a van that "packed in". Then never returned or responded to contact.

Neil Mclaren MPH plumbing and Heating has taken money amounting to 75% of the value of the quote and never returned.
Neil Mclaren MPH plumbing and Heating Bury St Edmunds is not responding to my letters to resolve the situation.
Neil is in possession of a substantial amount of money of which he told me he owes me as a refund and I cannot see being returned without a long drawn out process and court.

Find a local trade person close to your own home and who is recommended by local citizens/neighbours.
Never pay money upfront to Neil Mclaren MPH plumbing and Heating Bury St Edmunds.
