Bought a $5k Trailmaster Blazer i2k go-kart for my son. The battery was defective upon arrival and failed to last a single charging cycle. That's not MotoBuy's issue. They actually quickly sent out a new battery without an argument. The issue is they put the wrong dang shipping label on it and sent it to someone 200 miles away from me. I called them once I noticed the city was wrong on the tracking number. They said "oh, those mistakes never happen, but we'll try to contact our shipping department." Huh? Where is the shipping department? China? Then I got the photo confirmation that the batter was delivered somewhere else. Emailed them and they finally got back to me confirming what I already confrimed for them. "Not to worry, we will get the battery to you!" Great, so I wait and finally get the notification that night that they created a shipping label. It was Friday, so I knew it wouldn't get shipped till Monday. No biggie, that was plenty of time to get the battery and install it before our weekend trip to the off-road park. Well, when I looked closer at the new tracking, it was coming from the customer they incorrectly shipped it to. So, instead of asking that customer to ship it to them and Motobuy immediately ship a replacement to me, they expect me to rely on their customer to ship it back with no real incentive to do so. Meanwhile, this is like an $800 battery, so I wouldn't be shocked if the other customer just tries to sell it. Called them today to express my disbelief that they would have a customer send a part to another customer just to prevent them from having to potentially eat the cost of another battery. The woman who answered the phone was once again thoroughly clueless as to what was going on. I called at 10:30 am and she stammered around and said she'll call back once she figures it out. They are closed now, and no phone call. What company does that? Asks another customer to ship a part to the right customer!?!?
We bought our kids a go cart for Christmas and it won't work. They sent the wrong battery twice and won't help us diagnose the issue. They won't respond to emails or calls, only ship new batteries. We jumped the first one and it turned over but died mid run and they refuse to help us. This company is the worst I've ever dealt with. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! We want a refund and they have ghosted us.
On June 3 my rear axle started grinding, so I called and spoke to a gentleman named Charlie. He assured me that it would be taken care of. I followed his instructions to the letter. I even sent him a video of the axle, making the noise but after 4 or 5 phone calls and emails he stopped responding to my attempts to get a hold of him. I tried other departments, but no answer. It is now July 28 and still no answer or axle. My scooter is my primary transportation to and from my stage 4 cancer appointments and the grocery store. There are times when I must ride with the axle still grinding but I know one of these days it's just going to give out and leave me stranded, even though Charlie said it would be OK to ride. I wish someone would respond to my emails and texts but it looks like on my head against the wall. I only had 8 km on my scooter when the axle started grinding. Don't expect much if you have a warranty issue. Issue resolved after calling the distributor and finding out that my axle was still sitting waiting for a shipping label from Motobuys. It turned out that guy that was handling my claim just up and quit with no notice after locking up the computers. So I wish to withdraw my complaint since it wasn't Motobuys fault that the guy chose to sabotage the computer system.
DO NOT purchase anything as a Christmas gift or birthday gift from this company. Received a go kart that had a bad carburetor that was supposed to be a Christmas present for my six year old. Submitted request to tech support on Dec 17. Scheduled a consultation for Dec 21 and no one called me. Called several times, left voicemails and sent emails. No one called back until January 5. Needless to say I am not happy with my experience. No one offered any help to resolve this problem in time for Christmas. Received a carburetor from them on Jan 12. The only solution they offered was sending a new carburetor, no care or concern with my kid not getting what they wanted for Christmas. Will never buy from here again.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment you and your child experienced with the go-kart purchase, especially during the holiday season.
We understand how frustrating it must have been to deal with a faulty carburetor, and we deeply regret that our response time was not up to the standard you expected or deserved. The delay in resolving the issue and the impact it had on your child’s Christmas is something we never want our customers to go through.
While we were able to send a replacement carburetor, we recognize that this did not fully address the timing and emotional impact of the situation. Your feedback highlights an important area where we need to improve, and we want to assure you that we are taking steps to prevent this from happening in the future.
We appreciate your feedback and hope that you will consider giving us another chance in the future.
After 3 attempts I have not received warranty parts for our go cart. Boys haven't ridden for months and summer is going to be over soon
Seems to be a helpless situation.
Purchased a bike with electric start- they sent me a bike that still had gas in it. Would not start. A week later tech support confirmed I was sent the wrong bike. They offered me 100.00 to keep a bike that didn't work and wasn't what I ordered. Took several calls to reach someone. They offered an exchange. After picking the exchange bike I was told they couldn't do that. Then they told me the bike they advertised as electric start did not have electric start it was a mistake online (which is still listed)
They refused the exchange said I had to return but didn't promise a full refund. Here is where they get tricky. Their return policy has so many loopholes to keep them from paying you a full refund.
They offered me 300 to keep the bike that didn't work (I accepted but never received it)
Contacted the BBB and Texas state atty general. Still no refund:
They claimed I yelled at them. No I didn't yell. I was assertive due to them dropping the ball and trying to weasel out of taking responsibility for their mistakes. Not one apology. Nothing.
They treated me like dirt because I'm female then tried to gaslight me into this being my fault somehow.
Had to take bike to a mechanic, bad carb and they didn't assemble the brakes properly:
Buyer beware
