Scammed by motobuys
July 3, 2023

I paid $2300 for a vitacci penthora 250cc ATV and they did not send all the parts, some parts were for a different ATV, I have received better instructions for a toaster they make no sense and for instance the battery doesn't go anywhere near where they have it on the instructions.it shows under the seat and it goes on the left back fender which doesn't sit well, they still haven't sent the title paperwork I paid an extra $40 for and that was almost 6 weeks ago, they send a bag of nuts and bolts with some you need, some extras, and not enough of some you need. They don't offer to put the ATV together for a price which says it ALL! They put together other items but not the ATV and I think the reason is that they know there is no way to put it together. My husband is an engineer and he couldn't get because the parts we got are all incorrect. Tried to reach them for 5 weeks. No response to a phone call or email and when I did threated to file a lawsuit they sent me an email saying that they would take it back if I agreed with their "new" return policy that even more greatly favors them. They said if "their mechanic says that the issue is that the carbonator doesn't work, a broken gas tank" and anything other than the engine not working or cut wires from shipping then they are keeping the 15% restocking fee and 2 way freight shipping charges...they say that if it is damaged in shipping they will keep that $ also but they had steal around it and it was damaged getting to me and they just want me to shrink wrap it and tie it down on a pallet then trust their freight company not to break it. They broke it getting it to me with steal and when it was damaged I said I was worried it was broken the driver said I couldn't refuse it even tho I was told I couldnt refuse it.The carb and gas tank are things that come pre installed so they are clearly stating they know that their affixed parts don't work and you can't get all your money back if the parts they put on are bad...think about that. The only reason you can get all your money back on the refund policy is if the engine is broken but what about missing parts? I have to send back parts they never gave me to get all my money back too but I have been telling them I'm missing parts and have the wrong parts for 6 weeks. I know I have to go to court because they are not keeping my money and getting the bike back so they can just resell it to someone else like this. They say they know you will have damage to the paint and stuff because of the way they ship it and boy did we have cosmetic damage! I read all of the reviews I could at the time and now I know that they put in their own reviews. Any good ones are most likely theirs. They say they have a tech person they have you work with to figure out issues...well they only have one and he takes appts wed-fri from 11am to 4 pm and it is appt only first come first serve. I got an appt with their tech person after freaking out on emails and phone calls and the tech person had no idea what to do.he said he would reach out to the maker if the ATV for picks but he said they didn't have any and then that was the appt I have not heard back since except the policy they want me to agree to that I will not do. The tech person Ken he said if we needed help go text him but he has never answered EVER.Carlos is the only person answering the phones and they must have called id because before I bought I got right through to get my someone to ask questions the moment I bought I never got through again. Believe me...buy elsewhere. PLEASE do not go to motobuys to buy...they are a scam. Had an expert take a look and they said it will cost me about $800 to get the parts needed to get this atv to work.
The seat came with a severely bent post and the seat will. Never fit properly. Buy from somewhere you trust or at least you can get a response from if something happens. I'm going to file a lawsuit. I have so far had to buy a carburetor and cdi, 1 tire, a battery, various nuts and bolts, cotter pins, had an expert and paid them $150 to look at it (he laughed and said "that's not even all for the same kind of ATV)

Tip for consumers:

Don't trust them or their fake reviews. Go somewhere else

Couldn't use anything they gave me..I bought a vitacci pentora 250cc ATV that is non operable and they won't return without keeping hundreds and hundreds of dollars with the only oversight is trusting them. I can't trust them. They refuse to communicate and refuse to give me all my money back for the ATV. I am owed a title I paid $40 extra for and still don't have it. It was supposed to be sent out 7-10 days after shipping me my atv. I do not trust them so how can I take what they say or mechanic says especially when they already know their parts are not going to work and that isn't a reason to take it back and when I have been telling them I don't have all the parts they say they will keep alot of my money if I don't send them back. I can't send what I don't have

Received Damaged Product - Do Not Buy From Motobuys!
September 1, 2022

My children purchased a new 2022 Cheetah 200X from Motobuys (after working for 4 years to earn the money). We received a damaged, and non-working 2021 model.

The box it came in was horribly damaged (see photos), so I contacted Motobuys, to request a replacement. I expressed that I wanted to get a replacement because the damage to the box was so severe that there was certain to be damage to the UTV. I was told by Carlos, the manager at Motobuys, that I had to assemble the UTV first, so as to determine the extent of the damage, after which they would help us. Carlos reassured us that Motobuys would get the unit fixed or exchanged it for a replacement at no charge.

Right away I noticed damage to the body of the UTV, as well as scratches, and rust. Parts of the metal from the shipping container had been physically bent and had come in contact with the vehicle frame and caused damage as well. Every side of the UTV was hit with extreme force, prior to our receiving it. There were dents in the frame, and even damage to the underside of the vehicle (see photos), you'll see, the driver side floorboard had been completely dented and damaged, which had to take alot of force to do so. Whatever did it even sheared off the bottoms of the rubber foot pads, making them unusable.

Once assembled the vehicle ran for about 15 minutes (under 10 miles an hour as we have a governor), before it died and would not start back up. I had to take several hours off of work, to troubleshoot the issue, as Ken, the mechanic at Motobuys was only available during my regular work hours. I spent, several hours, over three days, on the phone, with Ken, trying to troubleshoot the problem, all while trying to stay positive for my children. We were able to finally get it to start, but it still dies when we go over minor bumps, and at speeds less than 10 miles an hour (about every 10 minutes or so). When it does, I have to stop what we are doing, and work on getting it up and running again.

All of this has resulted in the UTV sitting, damaged, broken, and unused in my garage, and has killed any excitement my kids have had to ride it.

I again contacted Motobuys customer service department, to have it exchanged out for an undamaged vehicle, as I was reassured by Carlos. I spoke to Ken, who said, among other things that I could take a hammer and beat the dents out of the vehicle frame. Ken blamed the shipping company for the damage, saying that "the shipping companies are horrible" and that "all the shipments are arriving damaged". I then asked for a partial refund, in the amount, equal to what they would discount a similarly damaged UTV off of their showroom floor. Ken then admitted that they wouldn't put a vehicle in that damaged of a condition on their showroom floor in the first place.

I was transferred to Carlos the Motobuys manager. I asked to exchange it for an undamaged UTV. When I asked for the replacement, I was told that I would be charged for 2 way shipping and a 15% restocking fee, in order to get another "unassembled" UTV. He again reiterated that I could bang the dents in the frame out with a hammer. Carlos, still not addressing that it is non fully functioning UTV.

This has been a horrible experience for me and my family. We did look over the reviews on Motobuys's website, but we wish we would have looked deeper at the reviews on the Better Business Bureau, Trustpilot, and SiteJabber, as those reviews paint a different picture about Motobuys. We will be adding our own review to those websites as well.

Tip for consumers:

If your shipment is damaged at all, refuse delivery

Worst experience I ever had with a merchant. AVOID THEM
August 28, 2015

I saw on their website that they give a $75 discount if you order 2 Dirt bikes. I was going to ship them both to one locations, however I decided to call them and ask if I get the discount if both bikes are shipped to different locations. I spoke with Bob and he said yes, however I had to place the order over the phone. After placing my order he asked to send him a copy of credit card and drivers license which I did. I asked Bob if I will get an email confirmation with my order information. Once again he said yes.
After 4 days I still did not receive any order confirmation. Called them, asked for Bob but spoke to Chris who said I will not receive any confirmation because it was a phone order. Bob never called me back so I called again and finally got him. He said email confirmation is on it's way but they never sent it. I called again to inquire about my order (not sure who I spoke to this time) and they asked for an order number. I told him I have no information regarding my order because I never received a receipt nor any confirmation. They finally send me a tracking number for one bike that didn't provide any information regarding the destination... unbelievable...
I decided to check my credit card account and saw that they charged me the full price without the $75 discount and still no order confirmation with itemized purchased receipt.
Once again I call them and now spoke to Joe ( I believe he gave me a fake name because he paused after I ask him) I explained to him that Bob took my order by phone to insure I get $75 discount. He said that was a mistake and that I will be charged full price. I asked him 'Do I have to pay for Bobs mistake?" He said "Yes basically you do".
So now they will not pickup my calls and decided to email them again. In my message I asked Bill (the manager) if there was any way we can resolved this issue other than cancelling my order? Maybe throw in a Peewee chest protector ($60 item). He said no and cancelled my order.
Do not trust these people. They will lie to you. I had to go as far as cancelling my credit card because they had a copy. Bill as a big ego and employs a bunch of thugs. This is an internet based business so they probably do a lot of volume sales and can care less about their customers. This bad review will join dozens of others.
Ultimately they did me a favor. I used tboltusa.com/ to get my bikes. They were pure gentlemen and I save $150. I also received my order confirmation with an itemized receipt.

Flamingo Hotel LAS VEGAS AWFUL, THE WORST!
January 21, 2014

This was the worst exp we have ever had in Las Vegas. We have stayed there many times before. We got to the check-in counter at 12:10pm and was told we had to pay $35 more if unless we waited 20 minutes to 12:30pm. We were in a hurry to get to a convention. So we stood there for 20 minutes and wasted our time.

From the time we checked in, the agent was rude and seemed angry because we did not agree to an upgrade. She then gave us the key and told us and she wrote on our key card holder to the habitat elevators. We get in push the button for the 4th floor and it goes right past it a bunch of stops at higher floors. Then a bunch stops back to the lobby, never stops at our floor. So we get into the next bank of elevators and the exact same thing happens. It now 20 minutes later, so now having to stand there 20 minutes to check in and now another 20 minutes with the elevator issue. So go out into the casino nobody can tell us what to do, all the way back to the front desk where some one. Then calls someone else after another 10 minutes they then tell us the floor is under construction take the elevator that is right there by the check in desk. Now 50+ minutes has passed by. Go to the room and the lights dont work by the mirrors. My wife calls down and they say someone will come up right away and fix it. We are now late to our meeting at the convention due to all this and we leave to go there.

So we spend the rest of the day at the convention and go out to dinner with business partners. Get back the Hotel at 12:30am. Go into the room the light has not been fixed. I then want to take a shower and go to bed. NO HOT WATER in the room. I call down to the front desk to get another room. The clerk could have cared less and told me they have no rooms available to move us to. I ask to speak to a manager, I am put on hold over 15 minutes now. While we are waiting I had my wife call the hotel on her cell to see if there are rooms, Speak to an Amber who says no problem we have lots of rooms come on in.

Finally the Manager who did not give me a name says no rooms available, So now both clerks have lied to us. I tell her we just spoke to Amber who said they have plenty of rooms, again put hold on, and another 7 or 8 minutes and someone else comes on, oh we just found you another room on the 14th floor. Come down to the front desk and get the key. So I get dressed and hike back down there and theagent is the same person who I first person I spoke with and she then says we now have a room on the 20th floor. So I get the card key and go back the room on the 4th floor, re-pack up all our stuff and hike down to the casino dragging our bags and back the other bank of elevators. Get to the room on the 20th floor and again unpack. Its now about 2: am,

I take off shoes and decide to get some ice, walk out into the hall (I have socks on) and right out side our room the entire hallway is flooded and the carpet is soaked and sopping wet from a leak somewhere.

So I go back into the room, get in the shower, and it does not work, no water pressure at all. Now its 2:30am I forget the shower we go to bed. We get up in the morning to find our room also has flooding in it. My wifes suitcase was all wet and some her clothes that were on the floor were drenched from flooding.

We pack up all our stuff again and we leave, I go down to the desk and tell them we are checking out early. The agent asks why we are leaving early, I tell her this complete story, she never calls a manager or supervisor, her answer is I took off your $10 bar tab. Really, that is suppose to be a solution.

Dont know what happened, have stayed there many many times as well as at Ceasars and I have never had such crappy service, lack of caring and downright bad management ever in the 40 years I have be going to Vegas. We moved to another hotel and salvaged the rest of our trip.

We checked in on 3/12/18 and out on 3/13/18 2 days early.

Ordered 2XL Snowmobile Helmet with XL Riding Gloves
March 31, 2012

Ordered 2XL Snowmobile Helmet with XL Riding Gloves. Get email that Riding Gloves will be shipped separately. Received Helmet... but in wrong size (XL instead of 2XL). Emails and phone calls to get return info. Had to ship helmet back at MY EXPENSE. Had to call/email multiple times to get helmet... finally delivered 3 weeks later. No word on gloves after multiple emails and phone calls. Received gloves in mail today: 1.not riding gloves as shown on website, 2.one-size-fits-all (not XL as ordered) Resolution Sought: 1. Reimburse my mailing expense 2. Send me snowmobile riding gloves as ordered 3. Pay for mailing on return of these generic one size fits all non-riding gloves received
Company's Response: The Gloves were a FREE gift and they are leather riding gloves exactly as advertised. The ad is at http://www.motobuys.com/hjc-helmet-001-95.html The ad reads leather riding gloves and that is what they received. Nowhere on the ad does it say Snowmobile gloves. The cost the customer paid for these gloves was FREE. These gloves are a one size fits all real Leather riding gloves. No where on the ad does it read anything other than that. We are sorry if the customer does not like them however since the customer paid nothing for them the customer cost for these gloves is ZERO. The helmet was sent direct from HJC factory and the helmet was exchanged for customer as soon as we received the helmet back that customer wanted exchanged. We are disappointed that our efforts did not meet there expectations.
Consumer's Rebuttal: Photo of "free" riding gloves was of snowmbobile riding gloves. Website asked for size for riding gloves: which was entered as "XL". The "one size fits all" riding gloves were not XL and since the "free" riding gloves were part of a package for a snowmobile helmet, the assumption would be the riding gloves being for a snowmobile as pictured on the site. They are generic cheap leather gloves with minimal lining that could never be used on a snowmobile. As far as "free" gloves... I had found the helmet for a lesser amount on another website, but b/c this ad included the "free" gloves as a package... I paid more for the helmet assuming the extra cost would be made up with the new gloves. Lastly, nobody addressing the issue of MY EXPENSE for mailing for a mistake by Motobuys
Company's Final Response: This customer ordered a HJC helmet which he claims was not the correct size when received. He was promptly given a return auth # and we exchanged the helmet free of charge. The ad for the Helmet says clearly FREE leather riding gloves. Nothing about snowmobile or anything else. The point here is that the gloves are a "FREE GIFT" with purchase. Customer paid zero, nada, nothing for these gloves. So the main basis for this complaint is he does like the FREE GLOVES that he paid ($0) for? Whats next, someone filing a BBB complaint at Cracker Jack because they don"t like that FREE toy in the box
