I saw all the reviews but really liked what I saw so I ordered it. It took SIX MONTHS to receive the item and I had to call many times to finally get it. They said I would get it within a week, by next week, by the weekend... whatever. FINALLY, I called and they did send it out but it came from New Jersey! REALLY? So, why did it have to go through customs? Not only that, the return address said California but the zip code was New Jersey. Being the internet sleuth that I am, I tried every possibility on the planet to get their phone number but to no avail. The number I previously called had been disconnected. The shirt is of poor quality and does not fit. If they will not take it back, I am ready to file a claim with the government to shut them down. Anyone interested in starting a "class action" suit with me? If you want to buy from them, please know you might as well throw the money in the garbage. (Or send it to me... I'll buy stuff for the poor and give it to them!)
I fell in love with the ad for the geometric swimsuit as I have shown to the far right of my pictures (click bait). I received very faded material that doesn't match the blackness of the bottoms. There is a distinct orange mark that didn't show on the original picture. Best yet, it wasn't even hemmed! I've got it marked and taped up and thought I should at least tell everyone about my rip off purchase before I get sewing!
I love almost everything they show on their website. I ordered a top, just to see. You could tell right away that it is made with a cheap wrinkly fabric. You should be able to throw a polyester garment into a bag and it comes out looking perfect. Not this one. You do have the option to return for a full refund, but because they want a tracking number, mailing it back is very expensive. It would have cost me almost $20. So I chose to keep the garment and take the partial refund. They gave me back a little over $5 USD ( paid $30 USD). Won't be doing that again.
The swimming costume I ordered is different from the one I received. Poor quality and I would definately not recommend. Cheap stuff! I'm very disappointed.
I bought 4 ladies tops that looked adorable on line but when received were cheap, shoddy, apparently poor knock offs of the pictured tops on line. Don't buy anything from this China based web site! I wasted $100 on these "sale" items.
I was excited to see so many fun and unique tops and dresses at reasonable prices. But the reality was very different. I ordered 2 tops and 1 dress. The tops were cheap looking and one felt like wearing a plastic bag. But the biggest disappointment was the dress. The color, which looked red on the site, was actually pink. And the quality of the materials and workmanship was also cheap! Had planned to wear it to a wedding but now, I'm back to shopping. Save your money and time. And btw, it took a month to get the two tops!
Received sizes so small that couldn't be worn by a midget. Poor material on which they lied, poor sewing. I still have their email where they state that I must return the merchandise to Shangai at my own expenses plus taxes.The shipping would have been 220 Eu, my purchase 200, right out the window! No guarantee of money back. They didn't comply with my PayPal and refused to return the money. Clothes are such poor quality that non one would buy them in Italy. Sadly enough this company pairs with New Chich and Floryday, with same unfortunate policy. Stay away from them all!
I ordered a top from them and it was a "large" size. When I got it, it was maybe an American small-medium. I used the return pages on their website to get a "ticket" to return the item and I requested an exchange for a large size. Even that replacement was way too snug. I filled out another ticket for a refund. I could not convince them that I did not want another size but I wanted a refund. Through many email exchanges, I decided to send the two "large" blouses back and request a refund. They defaulted to their policy of not honoring refunds after 30 days. It took me that long to get someone to acknowledge what I was requesting. Just save yourself time and money and do not do business with them.
Ordered a top hideous cheap looking fabric. Have requested a return label, need to pay to send it to the US, although the return address on package is UK! Will see if I get my money back. I've heard that they often claim items are damaged or soiled so refund cannot be given. I only wish I'd read reviews first.

This company is a complete and total ripoff. I order four blouses from them. First it took over three weeks to get them. When they finally arrived two of them were the wrong size and were of very cheap quality. When I said I wanted to return them, they sent me a return label. I waited over two weeks to hear back. They responded that they would not refund the money because they were damaged and used. I never wore them nor did I damage them. I wish I would have read reviews before purchasing.
I wish I had read reviews before buying from this company. Returned 2 items that didn't fit and was told that 1 of them had stains so they would not refund my money. NO WAY it had stains. I had immediately put it back in the bag after trying it on. What a scam.
Its unfortunate because I did like many of the styles they show on website and may have bought more clothes, but I won't do business with a company with an unfair return policy. They are liars and scammers.
Ordered a bathing suit. Was out of stock. Instead of instantly refunding my $, I get an email that my $ was posted to my account and I can use it for future orders. First of all, they shouldn't be selling something online that they have no stock on. Second of all, issue an immediate refund for purchases out of stock! Don't make a customer have to jump thru hoops to get their $$ back!
Avoid Modlily. My story: I created an order, received it, shipped back one item for a size exchange as per Modlilys instructions (which was a ridiculous process btw). I waited for my new suit and I have since received no item back! Its been months. Nobody responded to my initial, multiple inquires on their live chat and every time I want to talk to them, I have to create a new ticket. Its very hard to contact them. They are refusing to Acknowledge my request saying I'm now past 30 days (which I original dealt with the return within 30days). I have now paid them for an item I do not have (they have it) and suspect they will NEVER make good on or refund. Avoid this company! They have no integrity.
Don't fall for it, yes they look cute but they are sized incorrectly, they are shorter than advertised, and they FEEL LIKE PLASTIC. I'm pretty sure they come from overseas because it took almost a month to get here and there was no tracking available.

Received my swim suit Friday and it's very poor quality material and has snags in material. The fit is good and it's cute so I'm really disappointed that it's not what I thought it would be!
I returned a bathing suit for exchange on a smaller size. They told me it was used and stained. Impossible! Then the sent me a very large bathing suit I didn't order in it's place. They requested pictures. I obliged. They said they already sent a replacement. I repeated it's the wrong bathing suit. It is like banging your head against the wall. I donated the bathing suit to good will because I'm obviously not getting what I ordered or charged for.
I wish that I had read reviews about modlily before purchasing. I knew that their prices were too good to be true. It took way too long to receive my items, which did not work out so I requested an exchange for two different items. To do this, I was required to provide the information for the items I wanted to exchange them for. I'm still confused as to why, since they obviously don't pay attention to this. When I received my "exchange", the items were the same originally purchased. I expressed my frustration between the length of time to receive my order, the lack of fulfillment in my exchange request, and determination not pay for the return due to their mess up. I also asked to speak with someone over the phone regarding the issue. Then I had no more responses from "customer service". I hate to have lost the money invested, but I may be better off finding something else to do with my order, than to pull my hair and eyes out trying to get the issue resolved. There's no resolution with these people, and it's such poor service.
I tried 3 or 4 times to checkout with PayPal and their computer wouldn't let me. One time I waited 45 min. While it said " processing ". After reading some of these reviews, I'm going to take that as a good thing.

Answer: You probably received same aweful material that I did but different color and design! My top was advertised as 95% cotton. Modlily LIED. I received a unbelievably ugly top in polyester. I wouldnt give it away to my worst enemy. I ordered through Paypal who has a new division solely dedicated to Modlily returns and complaints! Paypal will get my money back and I will be posting all over the interner to warn people of these chinese thieves!
