THEY ARE THE WORST. NO HELP AT ALL MILES KIMBALL SENDED ME CONGRATULATION YOU ARE PRE-APPROVED FOR A LITTLE $100.00 DOLLARS. SO I ORDER $44.00 DOLLARS ONE TIME ANDE TRYED TO PLACE ANOTHER ORDER FOR $54.00 DOLLARS AND THEY TOLD ME I GOT TO PAY 10% DOWN. WHY? IF I'M NOT AT MY LIMIT OF $100.00. SO I SPOKE TO SOMEONE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE CREDIT DEPT. AND BOTH DEPT. WAS SO RULED MILES KIMBALL YOU SUCK. I CANCEL EVERYTHING. SO IF ANY ONE IS THINKING ABOUT ORDERING ANYTHING FROM THEM PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS FIRST AND YOU WILL SEE HOW RULED THEY ARE. GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE ARE NOT WITH THEM.
False advertising! I ordered an L-Shaped pillow that says it included a damask cover. Upon arrival, no cover. After emailing customer service TWICE, I was told that it doesn't come with a cover and that should be removed from the site, yet it is still advertised to include it, almost a week later. I asked for them to make it right and send the cover that they sell separately, since it is their mistake. I was told they are unwilling to do that but I am more than welcome to purchase it. Being offered a gift voucher of $5 wouldn't even cover the cost of the pillowcase or the shipping. So now, I would have to pay processing, and S&H TWICE, and extra money, to get what was promised in the description of the item. REALLY?! This item is MUCH cheaper elsewhere, I only ordered it here because it said it came with a cover. FALSE ADVERTISING! BEWARE! Customer no-service refuses to make it right. #mileskimballscam #mileskimball #falseadvertising #baitandswitch #thieves #badcustomerservice
I recently ordered Sponge Candy and when I received it the bag was open and it was stale never again
Wow - I really wish I had read the reviews online before I placed the order. I ordered a Christmas decoration online on Dec 1,2018. Information stated that with shipping it would arrive 5-12 business days. Even with 12 business days, we still had a solid cushion for it as a Christmas present. On Dec 10, I had not received a shipping notice so I contacted them via email. I received an answer a few days later (not within the 24-48 committed) that told me that it was in the warehouse on Dec 10 getting ready to ship. I waited two more days and sent another email asking where is the tracking number, I received no response. I finally recieved an automated email with the tracking number and now the order will not arrive until Dec 28.
Thanks for missing Christmas. I really wish the dates were realistic - I get the season makes it busy, but now I am stuck and can't make another decision.
And to finish it, yoiu would have thought they would have sent it express or priority, instead, it is regular parcel service.
I ordered and requested and paid for 3 days express delivery, after the order was processed the estimated delivery was 7 days after the approval, however i had to the footwork and contact them and ask for a refund of the express shipping, they are the slowest to respond to email and they are horrible to focus on the problem you are trying to get help with, finally after numeous emails i was credited back the 3 days express shipping charge that they try to scam me for. I also ordered the strawberry Daqui cake and it was HORRIBLE, i ordered the rum balls and it was the same they dont have real rum and it says in the catalog it suppose to have nuts included and they dont
Miles Kimball has just stolen 7k from my sister! She placed an order and they wiped her bank account out!
I ordered a toy pizza oven for a Christmas present on line. After a week or so I got an email saying it would not arrive until February. I ordered the same item from Walter Drake, paid for expedited shipping and it did not arrive, I called Christmas Eve and they said it would arrive in February. I cancelled the order. I called MilesKimball right after Christmas and cancelled that order also. I have the phone logs to prove it. Here is where it gets good. At the very end of January I received the Pizza Oven! I called Mikes Kimball and explained I had cancelled the order. They said I ordered two and only canceled one. That is when I found out Walter Drake and MilesKimball were the same company! I told the very rude customer service rep I had cancelled both orders and they said they would refund my money after I returned the canceled item and it would take two billing cycles to be refunded to my card. So now I have to box the thing I should never have received up, drive to the post office mail the item back and wait two months to receive my refund. Again I have proof of both cancellations and ask they refund my money right away and they basically laughed and were like to bad for you. Never again
I will never order from them again. Customer service was in India so I could hardly understand the woman.
I ordered Christmas cards and deals on November 25th, I got one set of cards and it said I would get the other set December 4th, I called on the 7th and was told I would get them the following week was told I would get the seals after Christmas. I was shocked I would have ordered somewhere else if I knew that, I got the cards on December 11th a week after said I would stay away
Ordered two lighted topiary trees in urns for the front stoop for Christmas. Delivery was exceptionally slow compared with other companies and so much closer to Christmas than expected. BOTH topiaries had defective urns in EXACTLY the same area, so obviously poor manufacturing. Despite explaining this we had to return both items (VERY heavy) by repackaging and hauling to the post office... no pick up available! This so Miles Kimball could toss them in the trash upon receipt? Explained I could email pictures of the defects, that we are senior citizens, that my husband had just suffered a heart attack and that these two items were too heavy for me to handle but they demanded physical return. THIS IS A COMPANY SELLING INFERIOR MERCHANDISE AND THEN DEMANDING THAT THE VICTIMIZED CUSTOMER BEAR THE BRUNT OF THE COMPANY'S ERROR! This is our first AND last order with Miles Kimball. Fortunately, we found high quality trees from a different catalog company that were sent quickly, arriving in time for Christmas.
This company is a total ripoff, as many of you have indicated. I cannot imagine, nor have I seen such a horrible review graph. Mostly 1 star, because you cannot rate a no star. Not only did package arrive severely damaged (could have been UPS) but much later than stated. Then, top that off with overcharging me because 2 of the items I purchased in a reduced price for quantity of 3 ($7.99 per item if ordering 2 or more) were sold out, so they charged me the original price of $9.99 for the one. Tried to tell me original price was $11.99 for the chintzy item - a personalized kite) Now, add to that, no notification that 2 other items I ordered would be delayed until August (order was 5/23) until 2 weeks ago. There's more folks... the customer relations person argued with me about the pricing on the 3 items. Luckily I had saved the page for each of the items I had ordered and he took over 5 min to "check" the catalog, then said I was not correct in the price. I had it in my hand, gave him the page # so he said he would accept the reorder at that price. I reordered 2 items at $7.99 ea, and then he said the total would be $23.? Including shipping! I had been understanding with him, and even apologized because I missed an email re the delay in shipping of backorders. BUT then I blew my top. I cancelled my order and told him to note in my account that I was extremely unhappy. I know the guy is trying to make a living, so I think the onus is on MK for poor training and obviously not keeping proper catalog records. So, to those of you thinking about doing business with MK, you might want to think again. Just take time to read the reviews.
I ordered a table cloth, they sent the wrong size, I waited to long to return it, I was out of luck.
I placed an order on December 15th. They had an email sent out that if you ordered by December 16th your gift was GUARANTEED delivery by Christmas if it was non-personalized. I ordered a NFL coffee cup for my dad so this was non-personalized. My delivery date on the shipping tracker says my package will be here on December 27th! I called customer service and they flat out tried to lie to me by saying that was for premium shipping only. I had the email right in front of me that says it was for standard shipping. The woman in the phone proceeded to reply, "Ohhhhh yeahhhhhh... I see that." HA! She said there was nothing they could do since the package was already sent out and that where they ship out from there was bad weather for 2 days. Might I add that my shipping confirmation was sent out yesterday, December 20th. They should have known when they sent it out late with the weather they should have upgraded my shipping for free. News flash Miles Kimball, if you guarentee shipping by Christmas and there's a storm it is on YOU to ship out my package with express delivery and pay for the extra charge since it's your error and guarantee. Now I'm going to have to give my father a late present. They offered me a $10 gift certificate to go forwards a future purchase. That doesn't help my problem. Absolutely ridiculous.
Returned 2 items on dec 18,2020,
Been calling for 2 months keeps telling me its been processed
But still never received
Buyer beware
Every year, I order my son a personalized ornament that is related to something he loves. Last year it was an airplane ornament from personalization mall, which I received in a timely manner and it was very cute. This year, robots are his favorite thing, and Miles Kimball had a personalized one that looked very cute! On December 2nd, 2016, I ordered this item and excitedly looked forward to seeing him hang it on the tree. It's now December 19th. Our tree has been up for weeks, with no special robot ornament. I have tried to check the tracking number given by miles kimball and all I get is an error message. I've written three emails to their customer service department, and all have gone ignored despite promising a reply within 48 hours. Today, was finally able to reach a representative by phone, who spoke so fast without asking any questions or showing interest in my reason for calling - all she wanted to do was get me off the phone. She told me the order was shipped on December 12th (TEN days after I ordered), and exasperatedly explained to me that they've been "really busy". I can totally understand that a company that sells Christmas Ornaments and gifts would be busy during the Christmas Season... just surprised that they haven't seemed to grasp that concept ahead of time yet? Other companies must plan ahead and staff appropriately for the Christmas rush, but not Miles Kimball. Instead, it takes them a month to paint a five letter name onto a child's Christmas ornament and have it sent to the proper location. If you ask me, that's pathetic. The representative was able to inform me that as of today, my item is at a post office one state away, en route to my local post office. Oh yeah, that sounds real promising, considering I ordered this thing 17 days ago. Glad to hear that it's making progress. Hopefully it will be here in time to hang on our dried out Christmas tree for a day or so before we have to take all the ornaments off and haul the tree out of the house.
Moral of the story: AVOID Miles Kimball!
I ordered several personalized ornaments across multiple orders. The products I have received thus far are great, but I think shipping is too slow. I ordered two exact ornaments with different personalizations on December 7th and only received one of them on December 27th. Granted, even though I had hoped they would arrive at least by December 24th, I may have been late in ordering them... but was puzzled why I only received 1. I call customer service and tell them to cancel the other one since it hadn't shipped, but they said they couldn't. I asked why I was going to receive the 2nd one so late, and the rep gave me this song and dance about how they bulk ship only once a week and I said "You do that during the holiday season? That doesn't make sense." The rep starting arguing with me! It just turned out to be a bad phone call. I had to call two more times to get something else straightened out. I think the call center is in a foreign country (they all have the same Carribean or Thai accent). The other rep was nasty as well. The third rep ended up being very polite and helpful.
Answer: They were reputable at one time, but it's been my bad experience that they are definitely scammers. Good luck trying to get a live customer service rep on the phone. If by chance you do, hopefully they won't be as rude to you as they were to me. Bottom line, I had to pay shipping both ways for a runner that was nothing short of cheap garbage. Definitely not what was pictured on the website and nowhere near the inflated cost they were charging. Please, be cautious and look around for other companies before you seriously consider purchasing from Miles Kimball.
Answer: This is an older question. But my response more than a year later is - no, they are not reputable. Find somewhere else to buy what you need.
Answer: This question is almost 3 years old - and this company STILL has a lot of shipping and customer service problems. Nothing got better. Shop somewhere else.
