No surprise to me that Miles Kimball has a litany of bad reviews. I ordered some yucca seedlings, not available at my local nursery, and they arrived after many weeks as nonviable plants. In plain words, dried out and dead. I made several requests for a refund, or at least a resubmission, in which the MK staff spent far more time and resources rebuffing my requests than it would've taken to simply make a refund. Really bad business practice. Stay away from this place.
What a waste of my time! I got a catalog in the mail with a Customer Number & Source Code. Wouldn't it make sense if this were the very first info you input before ordering? Nope! Not with Miles Kimball! They make you waste your time going through the catalog, looking at products, carefully personalizing, etc, then it's time to pay. There is NOWHERE to put this info. Pay with credit card or PayPal only. I emailed customer service. They were no help. They want me to call in. I'm not placing orders for personalization by phone. You lost a customer before you even had one, Miles Kimball! Too bad for you. I'll find similar products elsewhere. Buh-Bye!
I ordered a product on Dec. 19 and paid for 2 day shipping. It is now Dec. 28 and I have yet to receive my order. My 2 day shipping fee was refunded after I sent the company at least 2 emails. I will never order from them again.
Miles Kimball catalog mailed me a $10 gift certificate. There was also an ad for soup spoons costing $9.99. After ordering this product I was shocked to see they had not honored the sale price. They raised the price of 8 spoons to $14.99. The gift certificate is a lie.Its a worthless piece of paper. I also received a bill for $4.69. Customer service would not honor their sales prices or gift certificates. I decided to pay the extra cost rather than go through the trouble of returning the spoons. It'd be about the same price. We have been trying to pay the balance of our account since December and with no one capable of doing it. I got a confirmation number, and we received a new notice today. What is the problem!. We will not pay another $9.95. Fix it or we will have to contact our attorney.
I have ordered from this company before with no real issues. This to. E I was so disappointed I doubt I will ever order from here again. This company has their own website, but also sells on Amazon. I placed an order thru Amazon and a day later received a pop up for the same item directly thru their website. To my surprise the exact same item they sold me third party thru Amazon I could purchase directly thru their website for less than half. I contacted Miles Kimball asking to cancel the order placed third party thru Amazon so I could reorder direct and of course was told it had already shipped. I was told to refuse delivery of it and I would get a refund when they received the item back at their warehouse. I could then place the order thru them directly. I explained this was a gift and it seemed tacky to ask the recipient to refuse the package and then have another sent. Not to mention this was a lot of extra shipping for Miles Kimball to flip the bill for. I asked for a refund of the difference to avoid all that hassle and extra cost. I was denied. Beware of buying from this company.
Everything i ordered on one order was not good quality. Sock helper broke at the weld site after one week of use. Microwave bacon cooker not deep enough and bacon is in the grease while its cooking and splatters all over the microwave. The plastic head of the pins to hold down the arm protectors on both recliners were breaking off after one week. Valuable lesson learned. Always reads reviews before ordering from any company.
I ordered an ornament weeks ago. Received it. It was nice. Then I look at my credit card statement, and I have a charge for a "miles rewards charge" that I never knew anything about, weeks after the ornament charge. What the hell.
I ordered 2 sets of solar lights they charged me $31.77 got their money never got my lights then they told me they were out of stock and never charge until shipped i never got them then somehow without my knowledge they started charging me $14.95 a month for vip rewards I didn't sign up for not buying from them again.
I made a purchase from the Miles Kimball website and clicked the box for "free Shipping". I received a $12.97 fee on my credit card from "freeshipping.com". I called them and was told that "i signed up for it on the Miles Kimball website. I told them I didn't and they said I would be refunded the money.
Zero stars. Do not purchase anything and definitely do not give them any credit or debit card information. These people are sociopathic, and they are just plain terrible and running a business. They must have attended the Charles Ponzi School of Business.
Payed Miles Kimball through their payment plan. The first payment was declined even though the funds were in my account. I gave them the credit card number, again and the payment went through, the following month I payed again, on time, and the payment was declined once again. The money was there to make the payment. Both times I was charged a late fee, Called them and told them I will pay off the balance, and will never order from them again. What a seedy way to make extra money. Wonder how many other people they do this to?

I was told that I could cancel the 30 day trial for membership at any time. She gave me the number and her name and told me to ask for her and she would take care of it. When I called they told me they couldn't cancel anything, when I asked for the girl that I originally talked to ( mind you it had only been 30 minutes since I talked to her) they said she was no longer there. They have the worst customer relation skills I have ever dealt with in my life. Seriously told me they could not go into their system and cancel what had just been set up. Even though she swore to me that I could cancel at any time. Very disappointed and unimpressed
I had ordered 2 personalized ornaments at the beginning of december thinking they would get to me well before Christmas (their delivery says 4-8 business days). It is now 3 days after christmas and I have yet to see my package. I've called customer serivce twice and was told my package had been sent to the wrong state and then to another wrong state and no one in customer service was able to offer an answer or apology. I called to get a refund and they told me they couldn't issue one as the package may still get to me. Totally unhelpful customer service! 4-8 business days doesn't mean 3+ weeks!
Tried three times to get to customer service. Very hard and when I finally got the right number they weren't open yet. I've never had such poor customer service. One of the order takers transferred me to customer service knowing that they weren't open yet. She could have told me what time they opened. The store itself is fine.
Placed order for six items with free shipping and received one item with the others canceled. Called company about and was advised others out of stock. I was charged shipping and handling charge. Called about refund and was told check is in the mail, week later still no check. Don't do any business with these people.
They sell no good cheap flimsy products from China. I bought a bath brush for 12.99 that looked like a toy. It looked like something out the Dollar store. Just about everything on this website is no good made in china crap that's a complete ripoff. So unless you want to be screwed out your money buying no good crap dont ship on this site. Even their kichen appliances are crap and dont seem to be made of good quality. This is a complete ripoff. I spend $80. On some crap that was worth no more than $5. I definitely dont recommend. Get your refund and shop some where else!
Answer: They were reputable at one time, but it's been my bad experience that they are definitely scammers. Good luck trying to get a live customer service rep on the phone. If by chance you do, hopefully they won't be as rude to you as they were to me. Bottom line, I had to pay shipping both ways for a runner that was nothing short of cheap garbage. Definitely not what was pictured on the website and nowhere near the inflated cost they were charging. Please, be cautious and look around for other companies before you seriously consider purchasing from Miles Kimball.
