South Lansing, MI. The fat blond's watch runs fast so get there early and I guess plan ahead for the toilet handle to break because if not, when you get there at 7:58 she'll be rushing to lock the door as you're two steps from it. I could have been in and out before 8:00 really happened. Add this to slow lines at regular hours, skeleton crew cashiers (4-5 people behind the counter/standing at the exit talking...), disinterested and unqualified floor staff. I go here because it is the closest and I shop twice a week, not anymore. $#*! Menards. Lowes and Home Depot will be getting my business from now on.
Ordered a snow blower on line that never delivered, am now being charged with a restocking fee and delivery costs. Trying to get the situation resolved is impossible. Poor customer service just keep getting sent from one customer service rep to another. Very Frustrating Shop Amazon.
Received something damaged in shipping. No customer service telephone number. Email and it takes days to respond. Then they says things like you should not have tried that. We can't refund now since you opened damaged item. Four days later
I only give a star to be able to make the review. Buyer Beware! Of Lawnmower buying.
Bought a lawnmower 2 weeks ago today, finally got it out to use today and the string will not pull back. Menards will not take it back with it in original box and receipt! So we now own a $300+ dollar brand new piece of junk.
I am used to shopping at Lowes or Home depot, both 15 minutes from my home. But now I drive 35 minutes to Menards. Why? How about being able to find a person when you need help? And that person generally knows the answer. Their wood is head and shoulders above the other two and is also cheaper. I recently needed a single 4x4 to finish up a decking project. Menards was a dollar cheaper, the post was better, and I got an 11% rebate on it. Did I actually save money driving an extra 20 minutes? No. But sooner or later it becomes the principle of the thing.
When Lowes refused to accommodate us we went to Menards for our patio furniture online. We were pleasantly surprised with the product. It was delivered a day ahead of schedule. An employee actually called to make sure I knew it was a display.! Top service. Thankyou!
Bought my kitchen flooring and cabinets from Menard's. So busy it took a while to get to a designer but once we did the designer took time to show us selections and answer the many questions we had. Pricing was outstanding. Checkout for a first-timer takes some getting used to. Be certain to pick up your rebate slips before you leave the store.
Delivery fulfillment was not too good. The delivery team (outside contracting) was wonderful however, store gave us one date then changed to another. Then store cancelled the delivery due to weather and never told us. Following day they only delivered 1/3 of order and one cabinet was damaged. Day after, we thought we had it all but found out one cabinet was still missing. Delivered after the weekend. Had to cancel the installation for the scheduled weekend.
Overall, it was pretty good and the kitchen looks fantastic!
Menard's rebates are a scam. If you need to return anything (without the receipt) and there has been an 11% rebate (always is) then that 11% is deducted from the value of the lowest price offered for that item. I do not give them my business anytime I can avoid them even though their prices are better (usually) and their selection is better just because of their return policy. If they want my business call up my history and credit me what I paid. You could also get a long way with just a percentage off rather than those stupid rebates. (Most places stopped with the rebates back in the early 2000s.)
Our cabinets came in damaged and of the cheapest quality the legs in them broke when ya went to move it. Their laminate butcher block counter tops are vastly overpriced and we asked for real ones and paid for real ones. They sent us the wrong counter tops this was the worst waste of 7000 dollars I have ever seen in my life I will no longer be shopping at menards ever again it's pathetic that you pay for quality and get the bottom of the barrel crap shoot that's cheaper than the shoes on my feet. It took forever to get them and worst than that they had them for a month and a half and never texted or called the measurements were completely off and the staff were so unprofessional it wasn't even funny 1000 dollars for laminate counter tops and could have gotten them from Lowes for 180 bucks never again
The only thing I can complain about is this 11% rebate. I have found that a lot of the employees don't understand it and they give you the price of with the rebate and that was not what I was looking for because honestly I feel that the rebate should be taken off at the registered like Lowe's does don't have to be 11% okay could even be 5% at register or the card. I have waited three years for my rebate that I sent in still waiting. So I feel that if Menards would actually give the rebate either at register or lower their prices or not necessarily give it 11% but maybe try to go ahead and give it at the register that is more or less with the whole situation should be at the register that's where the consumer will save money not have to wait for it I would shop there all the time.
I bought so many items from Menard and the store didn't give me any rebate when I applied for that. The store just says for 11% rebate but that is not for everyone, maybe it's given to 0.5% of the customers.
Menards is just fine, in my experience, as long as you dont special any thing! They are a very quirky family owned business. Notable strengths are lighting, plumbing and trim woods.
They are great to work with, especially regarding returns. Many items are not known for the quality. Once your use to what to avoid they are fine.
Obviously a leftist drone is in charge of making decisions about things such as the mask mandate and have trained their brown shirts well to refuse service to those of us who understand that masks do nothing for stopping virus transmission. Menards is in the business to not making money but rather virtue signal that they are woke.
Go to hell you pos company
Don't be fooled by their advertising of "saving big money". The rebate they offer can only be used on menards china made CRAP! Their checkout process is awkward and their prices are ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. On the occasion that I did go there for a menards exclusive item, I didn't have a mask. Several employees smiled and ignored the fact, but there's always one moron in every crowd on a "power" kick who thinks she owns the store. She cost Menards 300.00 that day and thousands in the long term. I'll never shop there again. Exclusive items or not
Bought a bunch of Christmas stuff online. Got it delivered today and the packaging was so badly done that everything was broken. Seriously considering giving up there credit card and going to lowes and home depot. If i could give a negitive five stars i would
Never buy anything at Menards that you may need assistance with loading. If you do their workers are sure to make themselves scarce. And their store managers a lot to be desired in trying to assist.
Another words, dont shop there.
Tired of the bad service, expensive products that don't last, the "rebates" you can only use in their store, and their ridiculous policies. I started shopping at Home Depot and like it so much better. I won't be back to Menards.
Can I give this location and organization a minus 500? Worst run ship in the lumber industry. Lazy store and corporate management, poorly organized and do not care about their customers, only their money. Didn't think I would every write a review like this, but when this company failed me, they failed immensely and did nothing to rectify. They owe me thousands of dollars for materials not delivered and think they are somehow justified in blaming me for LOSING my order!? Terrible systems and customer service is a complete train wreck.
Frustrating and confused. That's about the only way to explain this Menards store anymore. Before the pandemic hit this store had experienced and informed employees that knew where every item was at in their section and if you needed advice they would gladly help out with useful information but it seems like all those workers were let go and replaced with inexperienced people that don't have a clue about anything in the store. I would imagine it was done to save them money because keeping long term experienced and knowledgeable employees costs money. I go in and ask where I can find a certain item I'm thinking will work for a specific project I'm working on and the employees haven't a clue what I'm talking about and have no interest in helping. It's a shame that Menards would ruin something good just to save a few dollars.
Answer: Was hoping for the simple convenience of online ordering and getting it shipped to my house. I was wrong, the amount of time I've had to put into trying to resolve my shipping issues has been awful. Been a month since I started asking Menards for help with the issues. Still no response.
Answer: Exactly! Menards sucks never have any problem with returns to Lowes will not buy sh#t from Menards anymore!
Answer: Nope, always have issues with them. You're far better off going to one of the other Hardware stores.
Answer: Nearly impossible. No customer service phone #'s provided by Menards. Have been waiting over a month for a response to my request and issues. Have also requested updates multiple times within that month with absolutely no response. Hopefully this is only because of Covid-19 but I from what I've heard the Customer Service is always almost unreachable
Menards has a rating of 1.2 stars from 348 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Menards most frequently mention customer service, home depot and store credit. Menards ranks 86th among Department Store sites.
