Jeans were not even close to size. I ordered a 40" waist and they sent me 34"...
After sending them videos of measurements with fabric tape... they said I was measuring wrong (measured exactly how they measured in their video they sent me) and that I didn't know what I was doing. I even sent them a pic of a pair of Levis with 40x36 on the waist band. They just said other brands measure different...?
Wasted $100... would never by anything from them again...

I've been using myoj for a couple of years now and generally found that the clothes they send are exactly the measurements I have provided. Anything badly fitting has always turned out to be my measurements rather than their error.
The biggest problem I have had is to find out exactly what blends they are using for their non denim fabrics.
Their quality of fabrication is fine and now that I know how to measure I'm quite confident of getting what I ordered. For the relative cost of the clothes I have found them to be good value.

I sent fixed measurements. The jeans didn't fit. I thought it was me until I got out the tape measure and realized they were about 2" off in the seat and 1" in the thigh. I returned the jeans at my expense at which point they sent photos claiming the jeans were correctly made. The problem was that they were not measuring seam to seam. Instead, the tape on the right seam was at 1" (or 2" in the other photo). I pointed out the obvious scam. I'm looking for another review site where I can post these photos. Their motto: Our jeans fit whether they do or not.

I have a flat rear-end, so I thought that my measurements would give me a better fit. The legs do not taper and there is too much material in the back. Also, I thought the material would be like Levis, but they are much thinner and more like dress pants that jeans.

Bought a pair of jeans online.
Thighs too tight. Button hole a struggle to use and poorly stitched.
Complained to the company and even sent them back only to be told.
"There is nothing wrong with the jeans and you are wrong".
Stay away from this company.
They will not admit wrong doing. They will not replace the jeans.
They amazingly offer you a 50% discount on a new pair of jeans.
"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."
No way would I give them on more dollar and nor should you.

First time order after my previous tailor retired. I used my standard measurements, which however resulted in a very poor fit, to the point where I will never wear the jeans I got. Fortunately MakeYourOwnJeans offered a fit guarantee, so I took the poor fitting jeans as a reference for corrected measurements. However, then I was informed that I had not order a 'fit guarantee' product (this was not at all clear from the website when I ordered), so the best they could do was offer a 50% discount on the second pair. That would mean that I have to pay 150% of a price that was not even low to start with, and then hope the second pair would fit. After reading the many poor reviews here I decided to take my loss and avoid this website forever.

I would recommend to MakeYourOwnJeans to really crank up the customer service, particularly for first time customers, because if they would have sent me a second pair with good fit, I would have ordered many more.

If you want a custom fit, this company is Just For You. They have no issues editing or modifying your order. The jeans fits perfectly - Worth every penny. I am very happy with my order and have suggested this website to my friends and collegues who are ready to give it a shot.The quality of denim is Great! Its better to get a custom made jeans from them instead of buying it from departmental store.The most interesting part is that they will ask you to remeasure if they find certain measurements inappropriate.
I tried them on immediately after it was delivered and wore them out that evening. They held up wonderfully. Don't be hesitant to measure yourself and buy a pair.

I ordered a pair of jeans using the measuring technique indicated on the website. My jeans arrived at least 2 sizes smaller than the specs i had ordered. Trying to contact the customer service department was exhausting. They refused to replace or refund for the jeans, saying that i was not measuring correctly. I tried sending pics of the measurements but every email was returned by they're server as undeliverable. They refuse to admit the jeans were not made properly and will do nothing to compensate me for hte $60.00 i just wasted with their company. I strongly urge anyone to avoid this ripoff site entirely!

Mobile website could use some upgrading, but everything was findable and convenient!
The jeans are a great weight and stretch, although the fit was not quite what I wanted. I chose the 'fit' option (hoping for lightly snug skinny/slim fit) and entered my measurements, but the jeans were constructed with 4-5cm of extra material so they fit like men's jeans. If I were to order again, I would shrink my measurements.

The measurement tutorial photos were very helpful. (Thank you for those measuring guides.). I selected the option to have some confirm my measurements before actually making the jeans. Someone actually emailed me to confirm two of the measurements and after that my jeans were made and shipped to me! It didn't take long to receive my order. I plan to order another pair, same measurements.

Bad customer service. I received the jeans quicker than I expected. The material is good and they are soft but they are too baggy. They are not boot cut jeans as I requested. The back of the waistline puckers out way too much. They had me re-measure myself and send pictures. Then they told me I was wrong. Even though the measurements I sent them work for another pair of jeans I had made by another company. Very unhappy. They won't even offer to pay for me to have them altered.

My jeans are beautiful but they fit kinda weird and I think it's because I measured wrong. Luckily I bought the fit guarantee. If I had it to do over I would have used the measurements of existing jeans and just tweaked the length because that's the only problem I have with readymade jeans.

Customize button malfunctions after two changes, but otherwise great website. I was otherwise very pleased with the email updates on the status of my order.

I've bought over 20 pairs of pants from MYOJ over the past decade or more. I had a little bit of sticker shock when placing this order as the cost of each pairs of jeans had gone up nearly $20 each. The jeans arrived in a very reasonable amount of time and matched the supplied measurements perfectly. The fit is as always superb.

I ordered a super stretch classic blue jean a pants on February 2016. I received it on March 2016, Today July 1 2016, the tissue of my pants is torn in 2 different zones near the seam. According to the company the pant have ONLY 3 months warranty and they refuse to reimburse or make another pants.
My pants could not be worn anymore. In my comprehension a pants must have a longer life than 4months!

After waiting 4 weeks for my jeans to arrive I was disappointed when I tried them on and they were 2-3 inches too short! Also, the waist was larger than I wanted and the legs kept riding up when I walked. This baffled me since my husband took great care to get my measurements right. When I contacted the company to see about fixing them they told me that since I hadn't chose the option "fit guarantee" that I would have to pay for a fix, + shipping. I never noticed the fit guarantee on their site (and btw it only includes a handful of options). It should be built in for new customers or at least bold and clear when you order so that you feel secure that as a new customer if you don't get it right you can return w/out fees. The guy just wouldn't give in. He said I had to pay $45 on top of the $80 I had already spent. I finally just gave up. Do yourself a favor and go the old fashioned way - try them on at a store!
